    Simon Posford was really 10 years ahead of the game back when that album was produced. Truly one of the greatest pioneers in electronic and psychacoustic music. So grateful to have been able to follow him for inspiration! 🙏

    Just a small tip to any producers who are just starting out. Don't use things only how you see them on youtube. Try new things on different sounds and I'm sure you will like one of those. For eg manipulator is mainly made for vocal,but when i put it on one of my leads and reduced the wet/dry it was sounding amazing. A lot of comments helped me out on this channel when I started so thank you to anyone reading this and a big thanks to dash glitch for all of his videos.🙏

    Just goes to show the magnitude of Simon Posford's geniosity - on both the creative side as well as the technical, in context to how long ago he mastered the skills producing these sounds and overall vibe...
    This kind of technology in form of a soft plugin wasn't even imaginable in a psyhead's craziest acid trip back then..
    Great vid Dash!

    • @NovemberVIHR
      @NovemberVIHR 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly. This is pecular that nowadays we have special plugins which creat certain psy sounds with couple of knobs and slider. And the fathers back then did everything with pretty basic setup utilizing creativity!

    • @georgegyulatyan3263
      @georgegyulatyan3263 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It wasn’t THAT basic. Have you seen the video tour of Simon Posford’s studio? 😳

    kraftwerk were decades ahead of daft punk making vocoders popular and their music is still awesome to this day just listen to their self titled kraftwerk album and tour de france , thats what daft punk listened to. i love some daft but people need to be aware of some of the main pioneers kraftwek as those guys were and still are amazing .

      For the voice over? this is a Samson Co1u but tbh it's pretty trash, I always had to be right up against it and gain up to the max, I've upgraded and only then realized how much work I had to put in to sound decent. I'm currently using the Lewit LCT-440, check my newer videos if you wanna see if it suits you better :)

    • @DJBryanDavid
      @DJBryanDavid 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m in the same boat and not happy about it! I own nearly all of Arturia’s synths and I purchased all of the software instruments plus all the effects less than 6 months ago . I never bitch about buying music gear and such but $200 for what is essentially a update with a few new synth gems. It sucks there isn’t a more practical and affordable upgrade/update on these V collections. You’re pretty much buying it all over again for 1/10 of the price of the previous V 7.

    I Can't play my Vocoder V on my Arturia keylab mkII 88 keyboard. I'm using protools for my DAW. I have to click my mouse on the virtual keyboard to play a note when speaking into my microphone to get the vocoder sound. I want to be able to play the note from my Arturia keylab mkII 88 keyboard and speak into the microphone to get the vocoder v sound. Does anyone have any advise on this?

    • @DashGlitch
      @DashGlitch  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      it is certainly an issue with the DAW, I know protools is a bit of a nightmare with setup/routing so I can't answer exactly, but have you tried with the standalone plugin?

    • @icecreaman2010
      @icecreaman2010 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DashGlitch I have it routed into a protools insert on my vocal track so I could record it. I dont believe I've used it as a stand alone. I had an old roland scv-350 vocoder. Maybe I should have keep it. I've never seen a video of anyone using it with protools with the vocoder v. Hopefully someone can give me some assistance on getting it going. I'm at the point where I'd pay someone to help me to get it where I can play it on my controller within protools.
