That’s a huge amount of work completed, congratulations. As you repoint the cellar there will be less surface area for water vapour to hide, helping to cut down the humidity in the cellar. Excellent stuff, Thankyou.😁😁

Thank you,.Yes hopefully the mortar will also help the walls 'breathe' a little bit better than now.

Huge improvement. That vault is back to being 100% structural again too, so that's nice, plus the entire volume is not brighter a bit.
Side note: it's clear now, once to stones are a bit more visible, that whomever made that vault knew their craft. They were working with stones, like in the ancient times, but they knew their stuff. It's all neatly woven and there's even separation lines which add structure along the rotation axis of the vault.
Also, my dude, don't be down about progress. You know the old saying: "you eat an elephant, one spoon at a time". :)

Thanks I'll make it eventually ! This vault was very strong indeed, I was never worried about it collapsing. There was some small loose stone but overall the bigger stones are well supported by each other. And also it was the original mortar with the mark of the form used to build the arch ontop.

Merci !

10:36 i see there's still quite a bit of water coming in from the street even through the concrete wall. Well, not a concern for you, it won't affect the structure during your life time, but still kind of annoying that the city doesn't do their road surface and pipe work right. In a city, you're supposed to carry all water out of the area. Seeping water is bad. That's how you get sinkholes.

Actually I think that the humidity is from the cellar now. Those streak appeared when I move the earth on the ground. There is still a lot of humidity in the old mortar in this place, and when I disturb it it releases the water I think. This part is a "cul de sac" so a low of humidity is stagnating at low temperature and condensating on the concrete. The ventilation helps.
