    Watching this at .5 and .25x speed amplifies why I chose the 750s over the 900s. Yes, when you freeze frames the 900s appears to capture license plates better. But live video motion and clarity is far superior on the 750s if you watch the road signs and anything along the roadway. This is why the 60fps of the 750s kills the 30fps on the 900s.... Was surprised to see the motion clarity of the 750s shine in this video as it's not uploaded in 60fps, probably couldn't since the 900s material is 30fps.

    La DR900S est en 30fps ? Sinon, actuellement est-ce qu'il existe une dashcam qui est comme la dernière GoPro, la hero 9 black, autrement dit, qui filme en 5k30fps ? Voire mieux, 5k60fps ?

    A lot of deception going on here.
    Watch at 1:30. Note how the car drives out of it's lane and drives directly towards the sign. When the video resumes again we see the car continuing on the roundabout, and see the sign again on the right. But it's not the same sign, it's just a similar one (count the arrows, 6 vs 5).
    This is done to hide the shortcomings of the 4k camera being only 30fps (frames per second), while the 1080 camera is 60fps. Pause the video at 1:43 and again at 1:45, the signs are much clearer on the 1080 camera because of the reduced motion blur thanks to 60fps, and unlike during the zoomed shots in the video the car isn't deliberately driving towards the sign.

    • @maxlpower4985
      @maxlpower4985 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In addition: Either is his zooming software crap or it is just a bad intention: The full size picture quality of the 750S is much better/sharper than in the muddy zoomed one.

    4K at 30fps has more motion blur than any resolution at 60fps. No question that 4K is sharper with stationary objects or with two vehicles going at a similar speeds, which is close to a stationary object. As an exercise, I selected frames of signs from this video while the car was moving relatively quickly. In most cases the the 1080p frame (DR750s) was easier to read.
    I could have created the same post, with the same video but select all motion stills and come to the opposite conclusion. Obviously 4K with 60fps would be superior though it requires much more storage space.

      Late reply but just for information if you've got a higher mp sensor I belive these are 8mp in front and you're recording in a larger resolution (4k) then you will notice a difference. Only on playback on a small resolution screen not all the pixels are used obviously, however they're still valuable in capturing a larger image which can then be used to capture finer details and for video processing techniques such as stabilisation.
      What you're thinking about is 1080p vs 4k displays and how most people won't notice a massive difference for the price but 4ks now the standard and its much cheaper now.

    • @tgm9991

      We likely won't be seeing the full benefit even on 4K due to TH-cams compression.

    • @this-is-bioman

    Only hand selected clips were compared but TH-cam videos do get compressed so even 720,1080 or 4k are not the original, your not going to get the original bitrate.
    The lens on the dashcam will be limited due physical constraints then add compression not much of a benefit the 1080p version can do

    The 900s looks better with still shots which is great but the 750 still looks better in motion video format which is hardly impressive. In this day and age its a very disappointing upgrade.

    • @maniekmaniek1284

      I do not think so. Description StarVis refers to the rear camera. In the front case, the manufacturer gives only 8MPx and a CMOS sensor. But what kind of CMOS sensor does not write it anymore.
      Check this out: www.blackvue.com/dr900s-2ch/#specifications
      There is nothing about Sony Starvis for the front camera.

      This is an outdated photo from SEMA from 2017.
      The manufacturer avoids answering the processor and matrix used.
      I suspect that after changing the design of the camera they announced in March 2018, they did not use the Sony IMX274 sensor just something else.
      If you already have this camera, put a recording from the night.
      Show how it records in the Nigh Vision system.
      This will explain a lot what CMOS sensor has been used.

      Your right but it's not worth the price tag, allot of people get caught up with high Res stuff but so much else is at play here and you are not really going to get amazing results for that price tag, I'm about to purchase the 1080p, it's perfect for every day use.

    The quality 4k/1080p is obvious, but let's have a look at what the manufacturer is telling us : 41b6m61nqt4k9za4l1qn24fq-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/blackvue-dash-cam-dr750s-60fps-comparison-starvis-cloud.jpg
    Basically, a 1080p at 60fps is better than a 4k (1440p) at 30fps.
    And in this video, I think that we are comparing 4k/1080p at 30fps. It was not the "match" that I was waiting for.
    If we can get a comparison 4k and 1080p/60fps, it will be the good way to show which one is better.
    With that thing said, I will wait the end of the month for my 750 purchase as the price will drop with the new arriving on the market.

    The cap screen is actually worse than how 750 does in videos. The comparison is so FAKE. When you check 900s at night, it is the same as 750 for the road sign which are both blur.

      @maklosak2701 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes. 750s has definitely less motion blur. Clearly visible in the night scenes. I suppose this is because of 60 fps. 900s says it has 3840×2160 @30FPS. So basically you get a 4k motion blur video (^.^) . It's like with 4k movies - in action, you get 4k motion blur, really useless.
