I will always like the waffle. It shows how patience is needed to figure out complex issues, or just annoying problems.
Great for all to realize this hobby isn't just bashing, but repairing after a bash and getting back into it! For some it can be mechanically fun to rebuild and solve these issues like a puzzle
& Kev, you do it perfect already. I can understand why long waffle issues are more suited for those repair livestreams / re-uploads
I absolutely agree about realizing that you have to wrench on cars too. People new to the hobby might not understand that right away, these videos are a great way to push that message.

honestly, most rc stuff you see is head cam as it rips around(there's nothing wrong with that), your chitter chat is what makes your videos unique and awesome. You make great stuff and it really helps explain how to work on these. Getting an rc collection is easy, ask any one of us, keeping them running in top shape is much more challenging especially if these videos didn't exist, it would get expensive as a trial and error kind of thing.

i recently put together a 3s stretched granite and its a blast, stable like a missile but still backflips on a dime
for anyone who has sat through this old tony or ave or that jon cadogan bloke who all definitely know their onions but will definitely let you know too, can we just appreciate kev's no bother, no fuss lesson on sharpening drill bits?
oh, sorry: 'twist drills' you have to call them twist drills if you want to be taken seriously 😂
I mean, for the hobby stuff he's doing with a hole here or there, sharpening them like that is fine.
But under no circumstances would that be a good idea for people that use them regularly or for heavier work.
They wear out dull again in a hot second when you do it by eye like that.
Just got a rustler a couple months ago as my first hobby grade rc. Looking forward to seeing some potential upgrades for it.
Man you are just dominating this space, if Traxxas or Arrma makes a special edition Kevin Talbot RC i would 100% buy it. I know your thing is to be independent but still be cool. Since my son started watching you 6 months ago we have gone from nothing to a fleet of trucks and cars. My local hobby shop owes you big time. Thanks for the joy and come to the States.

Waffle is good. I can see action clips of RC on TikTok all day, but the tech aspect and the creative stuff makes your videos more appealing.

It's good enough for hobbying and drilling a hole once in a while, but certainly don't do that if you use them for work or use them daily. They will wear out again in a VERY hot second. They'll also wander all over the place and your holes will end up off center if you "eyeball" the point and don't get it in the exact center
I like how Kev Ronnie Mac'ed the back of his new truck body. That is a dirtbike reference in case you are wondering. The first paint job did not come out perfect but he sure did share a great idea. I won't be buying any paper thin Lexan unless I want to put it on a shelf and leave it

FYI, those proline Toyo tires are the sh*t!
Absolutely transformed my outcast… so much grip and stability.
Also the fronts being a smaller diameter, with the gearing being the same front a rear, the fronts have a greater rpm.
Meaning it kinda “pulls” itself now.
Absolutely love this build, looks similar to my daily driver. Great job Kev.

Use a multi tool or a dremel with a mini saw blade to cut thick bodies. A coping saw would work too.
