As someone has said, before hand I wasn’t too sure about Ben, but what a really interesting bloke and how fascinating his comments on using air pressure in NASCAR racing to competitive advantage. Respect for keeping your focus on asking and responding to questions whist Ben was giving that lovely 911 some beans! Re his comments on TVR’s; I owned until a couple of months ago the chameleon green T350 which I do believe he spun on Top Gear 😀!

Knowing that you are a ruddy good driver yourself Jodie your reactions to Bens driving and skill speaks volumes of how he was cooking that Porsche on the track and yet at the same time holding a normal conversation with you, incredible! Back in my youth in the early eighties I used to race in the Yamaha RD250 series in England. I thought I was fairly good at riding a bike until my first race when I realised I had almost no talent or skill at all! I would be taking a corner thinking it would be impossible to go any faster and the other racers would pass me on the curves like I was going backwards! Another corker of an episode Jodie, thanks so much!

Awesome video, Ben Collins is a driving legend although I did have to laugh at how he was almost out of the car before he put the handbrake on!! He may not have made you sick during the laps of Silverstone but I reckon the stunt driving might do the trick haha

That was great Jodie. Ben makes it look so easy. Not many people can have an intelligent conversation whilst driving the wheels off a GT3 RS on a circuit. I loved your 'imminent oblivion' facial expressions! Your show goes from strength to strength. I plan to visit your pub next month for a lunch with some fellow petrolheads (we meet-up every 6 months), it will be nice to try a new venue.
A really exciting and enjoyable conversation! I watched Fernando Alonso being interviewed by a Spanish journalist while driving a Ferrari at the limit and it's amazing how the professional can just chat while driving on the edge. Another cracking interview with Ben Collins our kid, bet your ears will be burning tonight when jezza rich and James has seen this 🤣🤣, I'm just so glad that they are still mates really, when Ben was stig I truly believe that what ever the car he did a top gear lap, with his driving style and ability stood a chance of being a great time, you could just see the effort he put in, to be fair to all the cars, that's what I like about Ben he is to O G stig in my eyes and he was flying just while you was having a chit chat he just loves it
I remember when this car came out and a guy took a dealership to court for selling his allocation to someone else. He happened to see the owner of the car at a local petrol station and asked him where he got it. The dealership had to pay him the value he would have lost in appreciation. Another great video!
Great drivers always seem so relaxed behind the wheel at speeds that would frighten the rest of us. Heck, I get tense passing cars in Forza. Jodie brings the joy to the situation as always. Sweet Shop is always a positive bump in the day. When does the Gordon Murray episode drop? Does it involve the T50? Talk about a must see!
I have seen ben drive in anger when he is seeiois and he is not as casual and talking as mucn but the scary thing is even this skill level is abpve most drivers. I was also impressed you didn't get sick being tossed aroud at speed. Look forward to more content with the stig!

Ben is a really good driver. I used to have his autobiography, The Man In The White Suit which was a really good read. Loved the sound of that Porsche & nice to see someone that can REALLY drive. Can't wait to see him teach you some stunt driving. Pity you didn't ask him about crashing the Koenigsegg on Top Gear as it'd been good to hear what he had to say about that little trip off track lol. Ben is a really good driver. I used to have his autobiography, The Man In The White Suit which was a really good read. Loved the sound of that Porsche & nice to see someone that can REALLY drive. Can't wait to see him teach you some stunt driving. Pity you didn't ask him about crashing the Koenigsegg on Top Gear as it'd been good to hear what he had to say about that little trip off track lol. Another great video & interview as always Jodie, keep them coming.

I recall racing a TVR on my Yamaha Thunderace with my girlfriend on the back, we were heading towards Liphook for the weekend and had a full on race down the A3 before the gent in the tweed flat cap pulled off to Milford with a beep and a friendly wave

This was not what I was expecting. I thought you going head to head against the Stig. But what an entertaining and informative interview that was; I knew that Ben Collins was a professional race car driver 🏎before his turn as the Stig, but I did not know he was a driving instructor for the special forces as well. Love how you dodged Ben's question about the "worst car you've ever driven. Can't wait to see the video where you receive stunt car driving lassons from Ben, that video will probably be hilarious. 🚘🎬 😂
