Can I just say a big thank you to everyone who took the time to watch Ben's podcast. Thank you, Ben. I truly mean that. These 2 episodes filled in so many gaps and, answered so many questions, especially, who is this Andy Wilman and what's his side of the story. From what little I know about how your tenure at Top Gear ended, I was pleasantly surprised to see Andy being interviewed by you. 100% has to be one of my favorite interviews/podcasts in recent times... Andy Wilman in long format, being interviewed by someone that knows him well, and the genius of Ben to have an anonymous group chat of former/current employees to add commentary and ask questions instead of the basic uninteresting stuff we viewers would ask that would just be a boring eye roll for Andy was a genius recipe! Great work Ben, Now just blackmail Andy into doing a few more later after The Grand Tour wraps, and about this curious movie... 🤔 😉👍
Wonderful 2-parter; thanks Ben & Andy. I watched the old TG and remember when JC appeared and breathed new life into it. This was great to watch. Thank you for doing this... and please do more when ever the two of you are able/willing to.
Now that I've watched both pods I wish to thank everyone who contributed to the phenomenon TOP GEAR & THE GRAND TOUR.
I'm 64 and have grown old along side of Jezza.
They gave me something very special to look forward to every week which brightened every day life.
We will never see the like of it again. You have given so many people all over the world so much pleasure.
THANK YOU‼️
What an amazing and interesting person, thank you all for the many years of TV, I will miss it greatly but please do some more of these podcasts together this was facinating
We in the States came onto TG a bit late in the game. It was clearly brilliant and one of a kind, but to hear how this all went down is amazing. Thanks guys!
I like how you in the states have adopted the word brilliant 😄
Thanks for not making us wait for part 2!!
Bloody fantastic Ben, great interview. Love your channel.
Some of the best content on TH-cam Ben, keep it coming
I love long interviews! Thanks stig, your the best!
Looking forward for the part 3, please make it happen!
Fantastic interview. Really enjoyed that. Thank you.
Many thanks once again for a great interview
Fantastic. Thank you Ben and Andy.
Awesome Shetland got a random name check always wanted top gear or Grand tour to come here and do its own rally as it would be epic.
Absolutely great interview, get any of the trio on would be great, and a lot of the F1 boys from the 90s
Ben is an intelligent and delightful instigator, particularly when Andy is in his sites. I love this interview ! Old school Top Gear and Grand Tour are brilliant because of these two minds. Andy is one of the best producers out there IMO.
Top Gear Sunday night memories - fantastic ❤ Will always love CHM, their cockin' about and all their telly shows; Top Gear made me love cars too. These interviews were excellent, Ben - thank you muchly and Mr Wilman, it was a pleasure to finally hear your stories, no wonder you and JC are still friends after all these years 😂 Brilliant sod that and crack on attitude 😊 much more please 👍🏻
these two videos were totally brilliant, thank guys
As someone who is been inspired by Top Gear since it started, and watched it as I was growing up, and then watching it again from the start of the series, whilst recovering from a major injury - this podcast is extremely inspiring. Actually a bit emotional listening to Andy’s perspective and wisdom on the whole journey on top gear. Thank you for doing this!
Such a lovely interview.
Listening to Andy made me laugh so many times, and you are right Ben by saying that he is a master story teller.
Top Gear was the Blues Brothers of the BBC.
Oh and the Grand Tour was the band getting back together...
Brilliant bit of work Ben, I must admit that until today I didn’t believe the plate was by accident. I do now believe it was. Top work keep them coming 👍🏻
Thank you to you both. That was absolutely brilliant 👏
Thank you both for all the great memories. "Mr. Wilman has sent us a text" always made me sit up with anticipation of what nonsense was going to befall the lads. Ben you were absolutely amazing as the Stig and I loved the episodes that featured you as the 4th man. I live in the States and I was thoroughly disgusted by what happened to all of you down South, but that is what a lousy public education system produces.
This was a rare moment in time. It can’t and won’t be replicated.
