Remove the front sling stud and set your forend stop to contact the forearm. Before each shot, push the rifle forward until it contacts the stop. Shoot with minimal input on the rifle, free recoil is best. You will be more consistent shot to shot as will your velocities.
I know that weighing ammo is usually considered a dubious exercise. Still, I weighed out a brick of Lapua Long Range and was very impressed with the weight consistency compared to SK ammos I've done the same with.
That third group at a 100yds. was a hum dinger! Know what you mean about that lube, gets hard to hold on to them but as long as they shoot good that's ok. Thanks!!
Henry here very good shooting I enjoy all your videos at what I’ve seen it seems like the long range has less flyers from other test but there’s always one real good group with the super long range keep up the good work
Man thats unreal, through all your 100yrd testing with all the lapua ammo, group 1 was not bad, group 2 blew out and you nailed it with group 3. Almost seems like 20 rounds to bring the barrel up to temp and be good to go
It’s not so much temp you’re basically scrubbing the residue from the last ammo you shot and then fouling it with the current type of ammo , some 22 are wax coated other are oil base coating the powder residue it will all interfere with the next load of different, after 15-20 shots you’ll have seasoned or acclimated the bore to the type of ammo being shot and see accuracy increase Some shooters will completely clean the bore between ammo types and in theory it takes less fouling shots to acclimatize the barrel to the new ammo
Man, you have some nice rifles! I have never shot one with a barrel tuner on it. It would be interesting to see how it affects accuracy if you just spun it wildly. I don't think it would matter more than an inch or so at 100 yds. but I have no idea.
I recently managed to get a la101 22lr, and it's done nothing but blow me away with its performance. The fact more people don't know about this gun is a crime in my eyes.
Was making coffee as this premiered and came in on the third spot...the good spot! 100 yards becomes an obsession, the wind seems to be more complex and have more control & it does but our shooters are capable and so are we. I am learning to be more patient and wait for the wind and apply Kentucky windage to keep them on 3/4" spots. That is a difficult part also...having the POA shift around outside the 'X' ring. If you work at 100 for a couple months and go back to the 50 your going to feel like you are cheating...also my CZ452 has two tunes for each lot, one for 50 and one for 100 & the tunes are 2 to 3/1000's apart. Go figure? 👈😎👍#22
I believe it on the tunes buddy. 100 with a 22 is interesting here with the switching winds. The wind blows 3 different directions before the round finally gets to the target.
You should adjust it for each lot. I did not for this lot though what I have found is that it doesn't make the groups fall apart though it does impact vertical and horizontal stringing.
From what I've seen so far that Lapua Long Range and Super Long Range have the odd flyer and I don't think it's a batch problem because most go into a nice group.
😂😂😂😂 everything is lot based. Doesn't matter the name on the box. And no not all of them will have fliers. You must be very inexperienced and how this game works. Everything has to be lot tested for best results
hey brotha man, new sub for ya here , i am a u.s. marine vet here 93' to 97' active , only have email here , would love to talk more + i am tracking down some tactical stuff for trade only here , thanks n talk soon > tom !

I appreciate you
Nice to see you on the 100 yd line shooting stock rifles and shooting some great groups 😀👍
It's a lot of fun and start to get interesting at 100 especially here with the switching winds.

Sherry thank you for the kind words.
Thanks for the testing. Always interested in seeing your posts. Blessings

The best rest on the market,
One of the top rifles,
Shooting premium ammo.
You still have to pull the trigger & that was some excellent shooting.
Tommy appreciate you stopping by I feel the same way I personally have to do better though LOL.
That is some good shooting.

Semper Fi. I believe that the bad group was you, and maybe a hot barrel.
What rest are u using in the rear . Love the excitement along with the content.
Wow thank you, it is a setup from Ransom International Ransom Rest.

You should really adopt the tuner to every lot of ammo, it would not make the groups fall apart but can effect horizontal and vertical stringing.
By the way...love your videos..keep'em coming...
Jerry Thank you for the kind words love the camaraderie when have here on the channel
Wanted to get some of your gear, keep it going Marine
I'll have to give that ammo a try. Your videos always make my Trigger finger itchy, so off to the range I go.
Super you have to get out and scratch that itch now cmon let's go

Colt my man you got lucky because they are not being imported anymore though they are working on finding another US distributor.
I'm all over the place with scopes. Now, very curious about the Redfield. Thanks!
Unfortunately they do not make them anymore. They were purchased by Leupold they brought them back for a short while then discontinued them.

That last group had a hundred man you were dead on
TH-cam keeps unsubscribing from your channel. Semper Fi
do you adjust your barrel tuner for each different ammo you test?
You should adjust it for each lot. I did not for this lot though what I have found is that it doesn't make the groups fall apart though it does impact vertical and horizontal stringing.
Because I’m in Canada 🇨🇦 I probably won’t see this stuff for another year or so
Great shootin Eli !!!
DD thanks my friend.
100 yds is where it counts.
Bang tidy shooting that at 100 yards. Hopefully get my hands on one day 🤞🤞
Something's going on there brother because my two hundred yard group with the la pua center x is about the size of your first group at one hundred.
From what I've seen so far that Lapua Long Range and Super Long Range have the odd flyer and I don't think it's a batch problem because most go into a nice group.

@@samw2768 Yeah, so many lots through so many rifles and all had flyers 🤨
Lets git it on!!!😊
cmon bring it let's go get some 😁😁
Most rimfires can’t group that well at 50yds.
Where can i get the hat?
Jerry email me mr.revolverguy at ayattherange.com
Am I the only one who can't see the groups? They are below the bottom edge of the screen for me.
Hi Marine. I've watched you lock down on the gun and you're trigger control. Trust me, it's never you, it's the ammo all the time.
IMHO at 50 yds you should be able to shoot the Bullseye out of the target
I guess he saves the bullseye. Kind of stupid to shoot away your aiming point on the first shot?

Tom I appreciate the support and Semper FI who knows we could have run across each other during those times.
