man these traditions are so heartwarming, that lots your family come together, its really something special :), i dont have tears you have tears lol. happy thanks giving guys gobble gobble
Thank you for the tip for visiting Mono Cliff & in regard to the high bacteria for the swim. I'll need to check that since my dog love to swim. Great video as always. Thank you for sharing with us.
I grew up in Alliston 70's 80's and 90's and spent a huge amount of my youth fishing camping and swimming and riding bikes in the park. Thanks for the memories
Are you into snow shoeing? I have small knowledge from childhood. I want to take my boys. I called up forks of the credit to see if it was an ideal place to go. Their response was encouraging. :)
We were in this park on July 03 this year. It was sizzling hot and packed to capacity. There was a 4 hours wait for canoe rentals. We just had our lunch here and a short hike and were out of there. % year old in the family was disappointed to see the pool was closed. We went to Quebec again (as planned) in August to Parc national du Mont Tremblant this time, which is about 30 minutes drive from Mont Tremblant Village. For off-season, please do tell us about RVing experience merits and demerits, some good hiking/biking trails with good lookouts in various PPs, some important gear that a family should not miss bringing to a provincial park, etc.
It wouldn't be a pleasant park when it's sizzling hot and no place to cool off. I don't blame you for getting out fast. We've only been to one park in Quebec so we don't have much experience or knowledge of the parks there. Maybe sometime in the future.
Thank you for the videos reviewing parks! You've convinced us to try a couple of new ones. We've hit a few of the Lake Superior parks (used to live up north). Neys and Rainbow Falls are both very nice.
Thanks so much for your honest reviews of Ontario parks, very helpful. We are hoping to head north next year too and find some parks we have yet to visit.
Thank you for an awesome “season3”! I’ll be watching for your off-season videos. Next year it’s time for us to get out there and explore the places you reviewed, and others! Take care…
When the kids get older like ours who are all in their 20s it's hard to get everyone together. They all know that we do Thanksgiving dinner at a park we are camping at so they make the plans far in advance. It's a great experience. Thanks for watching.
My wife and I are new to RV camping (just finishing up our first season) I started watching your videos last year when I first stated looking into a RV and really appreciate seeing all the Ontario parks. Its been really helpful to know what to expect when getting to some of these parks for the first time. I'd really encourage more videos of Conservation Area campgrounds as well. As I'm sure you know they are great for shorter trips and as you showed at Valens can be just as beautiful as a P.P. Thanks for all your hard work, can't wait to see your next season.
Thanks for what your doing.....You gave us great ideas where to go this past summer. Your recommendations were spot on. As for no upcoming camping videos, would love to see a tour/ review of your coachmen trailer. Thanks again for time and effort.
You are so welcome! We're glad you're getting some use out of our videos. We actually did a tour of our Coachman Freedom Express 254 DSX last year. You can check it out here: th-cam.com/video/YZHZs814czk/w-d-xo.html&t
Love your videos! I've watched them all. We are new to tent camping, but love discovering all of the amazing parks in Ontario. We were able to hit 5 parks this summer.
Thanks for your honest reviews of all the parks..its super helpful. When we camp we really find the time of year really makes a difference to were we like to go. You will love Lake Superior parks. We have a son who lives in Thunderbay so we have travelled that way quite often..our very favourite are the northern Ontario parks in the summertime..TFS🇨🇦🍁
Glad you find them helpful. We agree about the time of year. I don't think I would want to go to Earl Rowe in the heat of the summer with no place to cool off but for fall it was fine. We're looking forward to checking out the more northern parks. Happy camping!
Good review folks. Interesting that you worked at Camp McGovern. I live in Mono Centre and worked at Mono Cliffs Outdoor Education Centre from '86-2003. Lots of changes since then, when it was a non-operating park and you could have the park to yourself. Keep on!
We weren't impressed our first time visiting the park and I certainly wouldn't recommend it as a "must do" park, however on this trip we really got out and explored it a lot more. The time of year made it more enjoyable as we weren't looking at going swimming and the trails were extra beautiful because of the leaves.
We were there on Sept 17 week and totally got great weather. We travel with our 3 dogs and did manage to do all the trails and the dog beach/exercise area off rainbow trail. We were not aware of Mono Cliff provincial park 25 km away but plan to go back and check it out. All and all, great coverage and we hope to meet you guys face 2 face someday.
Can't wait for next season. Have you guys considered backcountry camping? It would be cool to see reviews of backcountry camping at different ontario parks. The best part is the sites are open year round at some parks and winter camping can be awesome too!
We can't wait for next season too! As far as backcountry camping, we used to do that years ago but now we are too used to the comforts of RV camping and it's hard to go back. We still like to check out the backcountry sites when we're at a park, but as for staying on them...we'll leave that to the real adventurers. Happy camping!
Love the sound tracks, can you specify the name of the song during hiking at mono cliffs at 10:54? Sounds like Loving Caliber but can’t place the song title?
It does sound similar to Loving Caliber and I use Loving Caliber songs in some of my videos. My favourite is "Waterslide". This however is not Loving Caliber, its Cody Francis and the song is "Weather any Storm". Happy camping!
My wife's memory of Earl Rowe is the blasting of a train horn waking her up at 5am! She was not a happy camper! 😄Earl Rowe is a few kilometers away from the Honda plant.
You mentioned in this video that you were thinking of getting up to Lake Superior next year. We did that this year and we HIGHLY recommend it. We couldn't get into LSPP itself because it was so booked up, but we did stay at Neys for 4 days. We want to go back because there are so many more parks that we want to see. Looking forward to your reviews from up that way. Cheers!
I live in Alliston and camp at Earl Rowe quite often. Just a couple of updates that occurred over the 2024 camping season. The biggest change was at Riverside. They have now put in a one-way system for dumping and fill. When you arrive, there are arrows directing you... go to the right for dumping (threaded hose) and a water fill. If you go to the left, there are 2 new water fill spots. All vehicles exit at the bottom of the grade and turn to the left to find your campsite. No more waiting for someone to dump if you are just looking to fill. The other change was that the pool has been repaired and is operational. Now, having said that, they did have issues getting lifeguards, so I can't confirm if it was open at some point. Maybe somebody knows. As always, cell service is great, and the staff are wonderful. 😊
That pool has not been open for a few years and not sure it will be open again this year. I recommend you check before you come if that's something important to you!
My 8 year old was watching this with me this morning. We have a city park called Riverside, he thought you were camping at our city park! 🤣 And immediately wanted to book a camp site!
We like that kids are watching too. We met some kids in our travels that said that they watched our videos. Riverside Park in Guelph would be a nice park to camp in.
Loved your intro! Great videos this season. Your parks this year were close to my home so we have camped at all but 2 of them. For the off season I always enjoy different storage and organizing (or is that too much of a woman's thing? LOL) Camp food.... I think you did tin foil dinners. Thanks for your reviews.
We were there for the first time earlier this year. The water quality of the pond, and the goose poop all over the sand, were definite disappointments. We were there the weekend before the pool opened for the season. With young kids, it wasn't ideal. Lots of good biking though.
Regarding the trails in mono cliffs, how long is the duration of the hike? I plan to take on all the trails as possible in a day(if possible) Thanks! Love the episode❤
Love minute 13! How cool to have the same pic on that rock over the years. I was just thinking that the paths didn’t look very stroller friendly in your videos- and then you show pics with a baby! Did you carry her?
Here is the Fall Colour Report for Ontario Parks. You can see what area has peak colours and what parks are in that area. www.ontarioparks.com/fallcolour . Happy camping!
I'm just a really cheap guy that gets his wardrobe from the beer store. Landshark is my summer beer and every summer they give free t-shirts in cases of Landshark beer. I have about a dozen different ones.
I went to Mono Cliffs in late September 2020, there had to have been two or three hundred cars parked on the road. Good thing they enforce parking now, it was really unsafe. Joseph
We haven't started to seriously plan it out yet. We know that we want to go to some Lake Superior Parks and continue to go to other parks we haven't been to yet or parks we haven't been to in a while and haven't done a review of.
Update on the pool! Was hiking there yesterday, April 8 '24, and I spoke with someone who was working on the outdoor pool and she said they intend to fix it and have it open this summer. Call to make sure but that is great news for campers!
We've really only been to a handful of private parks in our many years of camping. We went to a couple in the USA and just one in Ontario, Lands End in Tobermory. We don't have any plans on doing reviews of them....yet. We'll see what happens in the future. Happy camping!
Cell Phone Service: If you've been to this park please let us know your experience with cell service.
We were at Earl Rowe in May 2024 and found the cell service to be excellent. We have Rogers. Phone, TV and computer worked great, no buffering at all.
my heart is melted when i see those beautiful family pictures
You guys do a great job with the reviews. Very thorough. Keep it up. Thanks
Thanks, will do!
Awesome seeing the older pictures. Have never camped here but have kayaked here and is very enjoyable. Definitely a lot of geese. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it.

Winter activities, holiday recipes!
Are you into snow shoeing? I have small knowledge from childhood. I want to take my boys. I called up forks of the credit to see if it was an ideal place to go. Their response was encouraging. :)
I want a review of Cheryl’s bike!
Would love campfire recipes
Great videos. How many days in the summer You guys camping, looks like many, which is great, just weekends ?
Great!!!. We are actually planning to camp here. You guys did a great job sharing the information.
Thank you so much. keep going.

Love Rainbow Falls.
I loved the video. I enjoyed seeing your old photos!
Glad you enjoyed! Happy camping.
Thanks so much for your honest reviews of Ontario parks, very helpful. We are hoping to head north next year too and find some parks we have yet to visit.
Our pleasure! Maybe we'll run into you up north next summer. Happy camping!
What an awesome tradition. I wish we knew more people who camped! Excellent video.
We started doing it 4 years ago and really look forward to it each year. Thanks for watching.
Great season excited for 2022
We can't wait to get going again in the spring! So many parks to explore!
phenomenal upload Camping with the Coles. I killed that thumbs up on your video. Keep up the wonderful work.
Thanks for the support!
Love your reviews. Look forward to seeing reviews of North Parks if you go up there. They have some of our favorite parks up there.
Stay tuned...we hope to hit a bunch of Northern Parks this season.
I’ve learned a lot from your videos; they are so informative.
What a fun job you guys have!
Thanks!
We have a lot of fun making these videos. Thank God it's not our jobs though or we'd be starving and homeless🤣. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for an awesome “season3”! I’ll be watching for your off-season videos. Next year it’s time for us to get out there and explore the places you reviewed, and others! Take care…
Thanks for watching. Happy camping!
It’s beautiful to see friends and family joining together.

So sad this season is over. It was a good one ,looking forward to seeing your off season videos. 👍👍👍

We're looking forward to trying them out.

The time of year made it more enjoyable as we weren't looking at going swimming and the trails were extra beautiful because of the leaves.
Ten years ago we canoe on the stream a bit, eventually a tree blocked the way. It's a ok park, for a few days. close to GTA!
My husband and I call this "the goose poop park" LOL
The name fits. 🦢💩
We were there on Sept 17 week and totally got great weather. We travel with our 3 dogs and did manage to do all the trails and the dog beach/exercise area off rainbow trail. That is awesome! We'd love to meet you too. Happy camping!
Our go to Park (Earl Rowe) either on the way north or heading home, great video, keep up the great work
Sounds like a good use for this park. A quick stop on the way to better places. Happy camping!
Can't wait for next season. Have you guys considered backcountry camping? It would be cool to see reviews of backcountry camping at different ontario parks. The best part is the sites are open year round at some parks and winter camping can be awesome too!

There's trains going by at a few parks. They never much bothered us but we sleep pretty soundly.

Awesome. We've only stayed at Lake Superior PP (Agawa Bay) once before, but nothing else up that way, so we really want to check it out.
Loved seeing all the fall colors! ~ Shion and Matthew
Glad you liked it. Happy camping!

How about some videos on camping gadgets. I highly recommend the lake superior area for future camping trips.
thanks for another awesome season love your channel you guys are awesome hope to bump into one day on the trails
Thanks for the support. We'd love to meet ya in a park some day. Happy camping!
Regarding the trails in mono cliffs, how long is the duration of the hike? I plan to take on all the trails as possible in a day(if possible)
Thanks! Love the episode❤
I think you'd be able to do everything in a day if you're in relatively good shape. Good luck!
Love minute 13! How cool to have the same pic on that rock over the years. I was just thinking that the paths didn’t look very stroller friendly in your videos- and then you show pics with a baby! Did you carry her?
Glad you enjoyed it. We had an Evenflo Hike N Roll to carry her in. It's like a backpack. Happy camping!
Hi...which park do u think will still have some fall colors in Ontario?
Here is the Fall Colour Report for Ontario Parks. You can see what area has peak colours and what parks are in that area. www.ontarioparks.com/fallcolour . Happy camping!
Hey Ben
Where do you score the landshark t-shirts
I'm just a really cheap guy that gets his wardrobe from the beer store. Landshark is my summer beer and every summer they give free t-shirts in cases of Landshark beer. I have about a dozen different ones.
What trail in Mono Cliffs can I find the rock where you take picture?
That's the Lookout Trail.
I went to Mono Cliffs in late September 2020, there had to have been two or three hundred cars parked on the road. Good thing they enforce parking now, it was really unsafe.

Any idea of where you might be going for 2022?

Love your videos, do you know when the pool opens, were planning a trip next june
From what I heard, the pool has been closed due to Covid 19. I don't know when it will open again.
Mississauga here
Do you ever go to private parks and review them?
We've really only been to a handful of private parks in our many years of camping. We went to a couple in the USA and just one in Ontario, Lands End in Tobermory. We don't have any plans on doing reviews of them....yet. We'll see what happens in the future. Happy camping!
