Thanks DIY RAY. Metal part for this precarious plastic part is the best and I agree. Me? 2007 Dodge Magnum at 61,000 miles, original owner from 2007, able to do my own routine engine oil changes, rear axle oil changes, newer Goodyear tires, I let Goodyear guys replace the front rotors and pads including right / left inside/outside tie rods. Recently. At 74 not so able to crawl under this beast lately to do what I like to do. However I have a hunch this here shifter is talking to me a bit so I appreciate your video.
Dude, I cannot thank you enough for putting this tutorial out there! I just fixed the same issue with my '07 Charger. Saved me a ton of money!! Much thanks!!
Did you find the problem of why the key is getting stuck in the ignition? I have the same problem now. It only happens sometimes. I notice that the lever does not go back to the left all the time and that is when the key won't come out.
I just tried to reinstall it again. I haven’t had a problem with it. Sometimes I had to play with the shift level to remove the key. Thanks for the feedback and please remember to subscribe to the channel and like the video.
@@DIYRAY I took the PRND display apart to get the unit out of the car. I am just wondering if I re-assembled it the wrong way. Maybe I put the rubber runner in the wrong way round. Did you dismantle the PRND display too? Sorry about all the questions! Good video BTW!
I can’t answer that question. You have get the the correct part number from the manufacturer. Thanks for the feedback and please remember to subscribe to the channel and like the video.
joe luppa it should be A little stiff but not stuck. Try pressing on your break and taking it out of gear. If that didn’t work you may have to take apart and reinstall again.

It mentions lithium grease on the shaft with that mental part. It's on the paper that came in the box.

What’s the green plastic piece in the shifter
Don’t know, it wasn’t broken so I didn’t replace it. Just replaced the other part. Which was shown in the video.
Would this part fit on 15 charger

Replaced part went to test now its stick in drive. Any ideas?

Also try pulling the key in the Ignition and play with the stick shift.
Got it figured out. Was the shift cable not being down all the way in the housing so it would get jammed when shifting to drive.
In my box, there was a little piece of paper that said to add white lithium to the shaft it goes on. my guess is that keeps it from sticking
Didn't show how to take it apart or put bzck inafter fixing
