Perfect timing from, whatever. Strawflower, willow and wire. I will make something different and colourful for my friends grave, as a celebration! Thank you.
Your videos are always amazing, but I keep coming back to this one as my favourite. I just showed it to my wife, and all I heard was 24 minutes of "Wow!" and "Que Hermosura!" and "Divinura". :-)
You have such Beautiful space around you..A reflection of your inner self 🙂..I just sowed mine 2 days ago, and its pretty sunny in India, and some of them have already germinated..your video was very helpful..Thank you so much ♥️⚘🙂Subscribed.
Katrina you are the prettiest flower of them all. Always cheerful and smiling, its kind of hard not to like you. Dont ever change 🌻🌱🥀 Oh and I did just fall in love with the fluffy Grass 🙃 Please give us more creative videos like this one where you craft gift ideas and decorations. Keep em coming !
Two years ago, I had so many strawflowers in my garden & I fall in love with them from then. I will dry lots of them this summer too so I can make X'mas decorations. I love this idea and the wreath you made is so beautiful.
Extremely popular in Poland and Eastern Europe, connected with folklore and harvest season, and for decoration around homes. My mum gave me few times plenty of seeds, none of them grow them here ( Scotland) and I never seen them here at all. I hoping to try one more time perhaps in more sunny area. Beautiful little plants!
I grow small batches of straw flowers and small patches of the grass but never thought of growing them together in a large patch. You are so clever with your use of the flowers. I really enjoyed this video. I actually enjoy all your videos. So calming.
Yes, strawflowers will grow in my garden in many colors next year. Friends and bees are already waiting. Panicum elegans 'Frosted Explosion' is new for me but looks like a must have.
Excellent! Love what you do with your blooms. This is my second season growing everlastings. Last year I picked them too late. Today I picked them before watching a program on doing it correctly. I watched 3 other 'tutorials' that were not very good. Thank you so much for making this. And love your baubles... what a gorgeous idea!
A great video. In these troubled times it's wonderful to watch something so relaxing and colourful. I like that we can choose just to watch those sections we're interested in (e.g. growing the flowers), but I actually enjoyed watching it all.
Thank you Tim! I add the time stamps in hope that people will watch the full video but it’s useful for people to come back to if they need a little reminder next year 🌼🌱
Thanks for the tips... I have not grown these since I was in school many years ago but I've just bought some seeds and look forward to many strawflower crafting projects this Autumn 🌱🌼🏵️💮💚
Thank you for the time and effort you put into this, so in-depth. Such a great guide. I'll be growing strawflower for the first time next year and will be looking forward to drying them and making something with them.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such positive feedback! I’m so pleased that you found it helpful. Wishing you a successful flower harvest next year 🌼
Thank you so much for this! ❤️ Strawflowers are my favorites as well! I honestly think they don't get as much love as they definitely deserve. They're mostly just called Everlasting here in the Philippines. People here don't know what you're talking about if you use the term Strawflowers. I've received countless odd looks when I call them that. 😄
I am watching this after my first summer growing strawflowers. I so loved how you walked us through when to pick them and than how to make lovely decorations. It was quite inspiring and easy enough with very few materials. Perfect for gifts with the beautiful flowers from my garden. Thank you so much!
Gorgeous video and stunning displays. Gardening and crafts what's not to enjoy. You were so happy all the way through it. I'd love to see a tool review oneday on all your kit you use and any maintenance you do to them. But I doubt many others will! Those yellow handled snips looked really nice. Thank you for a brilliant video tutorial
I have a sunny spot in my garden, but there’s a large conifer in the garden next door, so very very dry soil. Do you think straw flowers would grow there? We’re struggling to know what to do with that corner! Loving your videos, I’m a complete novice really enjoying my garden and dreaming of an allotment in the future! Just saw on one of your other videos you’re also in Nottingham, so useful to know you have the same sort of weather for planting out guidance etc! ☺️
Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Thank you for sharing. I will certainly grow them them next year for one of my neighbours, she is forever buying flowers. Looking forward to your next video. X 🌻🌼
That wreath!! I totally want to do something like that with the strawflowers I grew this year! I've been wondering what else I can do with them, thank you!
Hi Katrina! Thank you for this video 🥰 I was wondering if you have any ideas of how to store the strawflower baubles when not in use? Are they too delicate to put into a box for storage?
Ive only just discovered these amazing flowers. I have just a handful looking pretty on my table. I have gathered seeds from one white one. Maybe a silly question but will these seeds only grow white straw flowers?😊
Thank you! My branch decoration is up all year in my home. The decorations tend to change from strawflowers and baubles to a more festive theme but it’s always there! 😄
I really loved this video,so many great tips and ideas. I have not had much luck from seed but after seeing your video I am determined to keep trying🦋 thanks
Thanks for watching, I’m so pleased that you found it informative. Remember that strawflower seeds need light to germinate! If your compost is kept damp they should germinate fine. Maybe try a new packet of seed next time in case they weren’t viable. Good luck 🌼
Lovely video :) I grew strawflowers for the first time this year and they are such an interesting looking flower! Just wanted to mention that the link for Strawflower seeds in your description links to florist wire :)
Hi Katrina, a new subscriber here and I just want to say I’ve been binge watching your videos, they’re fab, informative and inspiring. 🥰 I have a question, how many strawflower plants are there in that patch?
Really enjoy your videos and I also just found straw flowers and I find them absolutely gorgeous I was wondering do you refrigerate or freeze package of seeds before planting them And thank you once again for your awesome video
Please can I ask if you will keep them at home or in the garden? I have some seeds but not sure when to plant as I haven't got anywhere warm to keep them. Thanks 👍
Great video, thanks for all your work producing it. I like the idea of growing it for beneficial insects, but those seeds give me dandelion nightmares. Does it self -seed much around your plot?
Hey Bev, thank you for watching! It's the first time I have grown it on my allotment but I previously grew it where I work. I'm not giving the plants much of a chance to self seed at the moment because I'm cutting them so regularly but even if they did self seed (which they did at work) they only really popped up where they grew before and didn't seem to spread anywhere else. It's highly unlikely that they would ever become a nuisance plant, if they do pop up where you don't want them they're easy enough to pull out, unlike dandelions. Hope this helps!
Ahh, I forgot to add my channel name to the title. Thanks for reminding me. Tanya at Lovely Greens is such an inspiration. She makes some wonderful videos and the things she does with her flowers is amazing!
Wow Kat this is a top shelf video!!! Love that you are branching out with your channel.. Loved the information and the crafts
🥰 Awhh you say suck nice things! It means so much, especially since this one took quite a bit longer to make. Thank you 💛

I like how you explained all about straw flowers, not just how to make the decorations, cool video
I’m glad you found it educational 😊 Thanks for watching! 💛
Really amazing, you are a princess in the middle of the flowers.

My Mum puts hairspray on dried flowers to keep the colours going longer. However, I don't know if it'd work on strawflowers. Thanks for the video!

Strawflowers are gorgeous. Not grown as much as they should be, I think.
I think they’re making a come back! I’ve seen lots of florists using them recently 💗
