    I wish I found your guide sooner! It's my first time owning sunflowers. I bought these back in April here in the Chicagoland area and unfortunately they pretty much lasted for about a month due to Chicago's unusual hot and cold weather. 😭😭😭

    I just listened to your video on how to grow ranunculus and saw this one on the side, another one of my top favorite flowers . I live in Hawaii and am a beginner "plant mama" ! I've tried to grow a few bulbs before and some of them gave a false hope by growing only the leaves- if that much. SO! i still don't want to give up on trying!! And since i did find some corms this year- new words for me!- a couple of days ago, i will definitely do my best and hope this time around will be successful to grow flowers !!! You gave me hope that it might work !!! I need to find a sunny spot around here though-funny thing to say in Hawaii i realize !! i have more shady space and morning sun where i live..... Have a good year !!!

    I still have them in my garden.I have all the colors and they grow up to 6 feet maybe because of good composts underneath raised beds.

    Strawflowers are very prolific here in Southern California, I grow them with vincas & Portulaca and bloom beautifully in the hot summers we get here.

      In the low desert of Arizona, plant strawflower seeds (or transplants) outdoors from October through February.

    Straw flowers are an absolute must in my Australian garden, love them and even though we are coming out of winter here our area is termed sub-tropical and mild enough to have seedlings in now, looking forward to beautiful cut flowers.

    I totally missed pinching my strawflowers! Now that they’ve shot up a bud stem, might they branch by cutting that stem low? Can only try, right? Thank you for sharing your incredible knowledge.

    I just bought a strawflower ruby cluster yesterday. The stems with the flower clusters were fine this morning but then later in the day the stems were drooping to the side. Do you know what's happening and how to treat the plant?

    • @GrowingInTheGarden
      @GrowingInTheGarden  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Might be trying to get established and hard to get enough water to the plant until the roots grow better.

      Remove affected leaves, keep an eye on the plant. Try not to get water on the leaves.
