Imagine: Boutique Owner and imagine: Family Doctor. The latter which had a guy(George) who was a dead ringer for Kazuma Kiryu from the Like a Dragon Series
I used to love Imagine: Teacher and remember being devastated when the story mode featured another teacher who had a creepy, pushy crush and used it against the main character through blackmail to get your character fired. 😆
Imagine figure skater had me and my sisters in a chokehold!!! Eating sushi to gain stamina and doing cooking mama like movements on the screen to complete a routine was so fun. I actually just bought a physical copy off Etsy! I think I probably need to play a few more of these because they genuinely were so underrated.
I was so confused reading this because I didn’t remember the sushi part 😂 but lo and behold “Imagine Figure Skater” and “Imagine Ice Champions” are 2 different games!?
I had Imagine Makeup Artist and all I can remember is struggling to finish the wedding look final challenge because I could not fathom using silver eyeshadow for a wedding look.
I've never heard of Resort Owner before but I am in fact one of those kids that would've eaten it up because I loved to play manager. I played the heck out of Boutique Owner for that reason lol. Funny story about Master Chef: that game was given to me one Christmas, and my sister was interested in playing it, but of course I got first dibs because it was my gift (I think she got the Iron Chef America DS game lol). I went to play it the day after Christmas and I thought she had touched it because the main character's name is Lisa, which is my sister's name. I got so mad because I thought she played it first and set the character's name to hers! The game didn't have save files, it would just jump straight into the story, so I couldn't figure out how to restart. Turns out I didn't have to, but it started an unnecessary fight between us 😂My dog ate the cartridge later, too.
NOOOO Not the dog ate it!!! 🤣 That's still so awesome, I remember Boutique Owner too! I played it like I would the Style Savvy games, still one of my favorites to this day!
My sister and i got one of the fashion designer ones (i think new york?) For Christmas in a vain attempt to get us interested in "girly" things. We named the character Lorpétzo bon crumpets and then tryed making the worst and ugliest dresses and clothes it let us 😂
the imagine ballet dancer game was actually very well made and accurate to real life ballet choreography, even the clothing items were designed after irl costumes
I would totally play a garbage pail kids line of imagine games 😂😂😂 Imagine: Waste Management Imagine: Correctional Officer Imagine: Organized Crime Syndicate Imagine: Tax Evasion Imagine: Living with Chronic Illness Just a few ideas, feel free to take ‘em Nintendo!
Omg i used to have some of these! In flanders they were localised to be named Laura's passie, which means Laura's passion. I had the wedding planner, fashion designer and my favourite, beauty stylist
Imagine Music Fest is so Camp Rock coded!! Literally the fonts, the colors, the backgrounds, the outfits, and even the focus being on organisation and not just playing music. I guess it makes sense based on the time it released, but wow 😅
I played Imagine Master Chef but for some reason the German version was called Sophie's friends : Cooking fun... like...her only friends appear in 1 recipe and the outings inbetween recipes. other than that she only has the stuffed animals that were magically reanimated by a moon angel or something. I'm not making this up by the way there is literally an angel posessing a stuffed bunny and it has a kind of magical girl plot it's suoer weird
Speaking of the Imagine games...guys tell me I'm not crazy and that there was an entire website where you had your own character and moved throughout the city to different shops/stores/places, each belonging to a different Imagine game. Anyone knows what I'm talking about? I swear I can't find anything about it. Is this lost media? Lol 😭❤
Great video. Of if you ever do a part two maybe cover the baby series and the imported games from Japan(figure skater 1 and 2 and Ballet Star). The former’s first game in the series is infamous for the fact that it’s almost impossible to get a good review from the parents of who ever your babysitting due to random chance(The baby will suddenly get fussy just as the parent knocks on the door and you can’t do the minigame to calm them down if they are knocking) and a annoying stork who will pester you ever 2 minutes to tell you something you already know. The imported series on the other hand are games where you must train and get your skills up to be able to do the more difficult moves and win competitions. Figure skater 2 and ballet star also has a romance sub quest with multiple ending( the latter when having a yuri ending for a certain character). Maybe also hair salon and the horse game for the 3DS as well
Omggg I used to have imagine music fest. It was a Christmas gift and I remember only playing the piano because the drums and guitar were too clunky and difficult for my small child hands 💀
I feel like for the fashion babies thing the whole idea for it that the developers had was “it’s the early to mid 2000s little girls like baby dolls and fashion dolls mix them together and it’s dress up baby games” like I don’t think it’s that deep at all
Imagine Happy Cooking actually predates cooking mama, starting way back in 2000 as Oishii Cake Okusan(the series as a whole is called Nakayoshi Cooking) So the ones released outside of Japan are Happy Cooking DS(Imagine Happy Cooking in Europe) and Imagine Master Chef!
I feel like for the fashion babies thing the whole idea for it that the developers had was “it’s the early to mid 2000s little girls like baby dolls and fashion dolls mix them together and it’s dress up baby games” like I don’t think it’s that deep at app
These were the bargain bin games so I did sort through them and I definitely had some questions like, why 16 for the party? Sure that’s the age you might move away from home if your school is too far away from where your parents live, but it’s not eighteen when you’re old enough to drink and stuff. Kinda figured it was an American thing though, but there were so many different Imagine games that it came off as something that was rushed to market and I suspect that is a big part why people just didn’t buy them and they ended up discounted to a couple of euros which reinforced that mental image of them being some sort of a cash grab Vividly remember the sheer amount of them that I sorted through out of boredom and maybe finding something interesting but also, it’s oddly satisfying to just sift through a huge box full of games. Imagine ✨ owning that many games you can almost swim in them? Well I think I might have collected enough physical copies of games that if I wanted to, I’d be able to, since I have most of my old games sitting in boxes lol I definitely tried out at least one of the Imagine games since I did like to gamble on buying games that were only a few euros occasionally when I was bored and was spending too much time in the hospital so I’ve played a lot of random games, both weird and this is actually pretty good 👀 I even got my first Harvest Moon (Story of Seasons current day) game from just going-that looks strange *I want it* and I have no regrets whatsoever. Once you’ve discounted games to be the same price as a bag of candy and I have pocket money for one of the two, doesn’t even matter if the game ends up only being mildly entertaining, it’s still more fun ^_^ So the favourite thing about the Imagine games for me wasn’t really playing them as much as the experience of being able to sift through them and games being mainstream enough that you could find them in places that aren’t as reminiscent of the cozy yet dimly lit front room of tattoo parlours and record stores that sold CDs from smaller, often local, artists as the game store-they had them in supermarkets now \^.^/
I wanted to play these games so so so bad!!! I only ever got to play one and that was babysitting....it was absolutely nothing like what I thought it was gonna be 😂😂 and I'll never get over all the coloured babies having the most like stereotypical names😭😂💀 the nightlight for me everytime was getting the roller skates so I could skate around the town and be faster instead of plain old walking 😂😂
What was your favorite Imagine game growing up?? 🥰 Please SEND ME SOME ART FOR MY WHITE WALLS!! Instagram: @theninagabriella Love you all!
Imagine: Boutique Owner and imagine: Family Doctor. The latter which had a guy(George) who was a dead ringer for Kazuma Kiryu from the Like a Dragon Series
Imagine Fashion Designer NY(Still a favorite to this day) and Imagine Fashion Boutique!

I was so confused reading this because I didn’t remember the sushi part 😂 but lo and behold “Imagine Figure Skater” and “Imagine Ice Champions” are 2 different games!?
Image Makeup Artist was constantly on my DS. I had far too many hours invested... 😂
These games were localized as "Giulia passione [...]" in Italy and I still don't know who the fuck this Giulia was supposed to be.
Same thing in German! They are called "Sophies Freunde" (Sophie's friends). It's never explainend who Sophie and her friends are.
@Hannah-xm6fn lmao who are these entities
I had Imagine Makeup Artist and all I can remember is struggling to finish the wedding look final challenge because I could not fathom using silver eyeshadow for a wedding look.

My youtube (and other websites) username was inspired by the Imagine series 😅
My favorites were Imagine Fashion Deisgner New York and Imagine Babyz!
And that’s why I always loved these games because when they use to get smart I use to have sumn to say! 😂😂😂😂😂
I wanted to play these games so so so bad!!!
