Can you please update the video with how they turned out? My babies are just at the coloring stage, same parents (male is white and chestnut, female is all white). I would love to see your babies all grown up. :)
yep they go meep meep meep meep and the funny thing is the dads name is meep and the moms name is peep and they live in a little house that my sister made out of yarn fleece cardboard and straws lol
+hoi I'm kittymon hahahha Meep & Peep sounds super funny names to me 😅. And the house your sister built is quite nice I think. As far as I can visualize, its more or less close to a natural nest... If they like their nest, they'll reproduce like rabbits 😊
My finch laid about 6 eggs (hard to see bc I don’t want to disturb them) and this is after laying many before. None ever hatched, but a few days ago a single baby hatched out of the 6 eggs. What could cause this?
I have an doubt..i have four baby finches 8 days old.can i take them out to feed and is it possible to leave them to parents after feeding.some says parents will not accept baby when v take them out..is it true...i want them tamed
yep we have 2 chicks from the first batch and 1 from the second batch and they are all girls they sit together on the perch and preen our little cockatiel will waddle over and eat the little seeds that fall out of there cage lol
The Priest7 both are females.my Finch pair had same problem also.When I brought a male Finch, then after two months female Finch laid 4 eggs and all were hatched :) :)
Omg is that popcorn as nesting material? Now I've seen everything, lol! At first I was afraid it was styrofoam packing peanuts, which can choke and kill a bird if they ingest it. Your baby finches are so cute!

When can i seperate the babies? When do they start eating on thwir own
After a month or 5 weeks they'll go out of nest and try to feed themselves. 6 weeks at most will be enough to seperate.

My finches are building nest too. But did not see them mating yet. I have 5 pairs of finches.
They'll match eventually. Seperate them by pairs. All the Best!

It's an instinct to preserve the life. I mean no harm to them and they're perfectly tamed birds now. We got used to each other...
