- Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the all-new 'Kartavya Path' in New Delhi on Thursday, 8 September. He also unveiled a brand new 28-feet statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose along with an exhibition showcasing the before and after visuals of the Central Vista Avenue. The Quint took a stroll along the redeveloped Central Vista Avenue to check out what's new, and what remains.

As a journalist and architect, I feel this is one of the best cultural introductions to the Central Vista project. Wish there had been a Hindi rendition to it, to cater to the public as well.

Netaji is finally getting his due credit for his contribution towards India's freedom, at least some recognition by the Indian/Modi govt. It's heartening to see Nataji's statue in Delhi. After all this was the final destination of INA. It's very heartening to see that India gradually coming out of it's colonial past.
I remember how the Left in India backed by congress and myopic regional parties had put its strength to shut the project.
Remember quint was the one complained the most on why it was being built . Haha and now they are making informative video.

The Netaji statue should have been made of Red granite to look more integrated into the surroundings and should have been pointing towards the Rashtrapati Bhawan to symbolise his slogan of Dilli Chalo. Apart from that the statue part is quite good.
