I'd like to see them jump into another time to be able to live another lifetime , together; this time with the promise of less chaos and the good life , together, that they deserve!! I really don't relish seeing them grow old and take their last breaths together, as the narrator seems to look forward to. I'd like to end it with a promise for a new lifetime together...somewhere :)
How would that work no matter what time they are in they still age like when she left for 20 years it was 20 years for both of them I wish she had stayed or went back sooner so Jamie could have raised his daughter and I understand she needed to grow up in a better time so she could have a better life
It would be cool if Jamie could travel to her time so he could see how the world changes like electricity lol 😂 although it does seem to be peaceful not to have to worry about bills and just grow your own food and stuff for the exception of the lack of medical care I think it would be nice to live that way ❤
That would be great but let’s think about Jamie and all he’d be leaving Would he adapt? I’d love to see them if they go anywhere is to where Claire, Jamie, Young Ian & his love go back together & join their daughter & family & live happily ever after Growing old together
I know what does the "gost" of Jamie means, it becomes clear when he start telling about his dreams of the future. That first appearance of him, it's he dream of Claire in the future! So beautiful!!
That wasn't a dream of anyone's, but his ghost in 1945 to summon her back, which means Jamie had been long dead. (It was implied earlier in the series you have to have someone on the other side to sort of 'admit' you into that time. Jamie first admitted Claire, Frank readmitted Claire, Brianna admitted Roger, etc.
But we know he lived well past that age. I think ghosts can manifest as any age. Or...maybe he nearly died on the trip back the day before they encountered Claire and was beckoning her to the stones. He was in pretty bad shape during thst trip back to Leoch z wherever they picked him up from..so maybe he crossed over for a brief time as many people actually have.
@@jillsmith5032I think this story line is more likely than any other.. remember when Jamie “sees” Claire on the battlefield of Culloden, he sees her in a nightgown coming towards him? She was also in a nightgown/négligée in the room where his “ghost” is watching 20th century Claire from the street (Frank sees Jamie’s ghost). And quickly disappears.. so I think as Jamie was in and out of life & death on the battlefield and then when Rupert/Claire speaks to him.. he comes back to life “Are ye alive, man?”.. it makes the most sense.. oh and Jamie did tell her he’d wait 200 years if he had to.. and we all know she goes back in time to him
@@nancywindnagle2609, I don't think that is right. Claire explained that she has a genetic marker that allows her, Brianna and Roger as well as any offspring of them to be able to travel through the stones. Geillis also had the marker and therefore was a great grandmother several times back to Roger. That's why they all were able to travel through the stones together. What doesn't work so well is how they've managed to be unharmed in multiple journeys as they've taken already.
@@debbiewalker8713 No I was told about it by a delivery driver who was overly excited to have seen it.I asked him if he had read the books and advised him to do so.
Jamie may not be able to travel through the stones, but may be able to go through the portal in the tunnel at Loch Errochty where Brea works. Wouldn't that be a game changer?
It’s a shame we won’t get Diana’s real ending since she’s hasn’t finished writing the series. If both survive in the show, I don’t think we will find out why Jamie’s ghost where there in season 1. We might get that explanation in the book ending but not in the show.. The might be able to do a spin on it… But I think it will be a bittersweet ending..
I've read every book, and as a teacher, I love how Diana gets the history right, vs. most historical dramas. However, I for one do not dream of a 20th century Jamie time travel. I would rather Claire stays in the past.
I really disliked Go Tell the Bees that I Am Gone! It was like Diana Gabaldon was doing too much at one time and didn't pay attention to the story. Sorry to hear that the last season will be about that book. At this point, we've waited so long for the next season, I'd just to like see the show again!! Way too long to wait. (from Sandi)
I’m praying things are explained more the appearance of Jamie foremost Was it perhaps him coming back remembering Claire from yrs before and then passing I’m praying they all get a dignified ending unlike games of thorns ending which was ridiculous Just my opinion
I loved it but it definitely needs a follow up! It takes Diana years and years to write a book. At this rate I think I’ll be an old lady before I get a book ending!
I cannot wait for this to start again when this first came on and she went back to Scotland. I should cancel STARZ thinking it was over and then when I found out it was continuing I was in heaven. I can’t ever remember enjoying such a series like I do with this That act strikes sucked because look at how much we missed I said my God it’s been years on what 59 now I kept thinking I should read the book but no way this is so much more. You have excitement drama, romance everything that you actually would see in life let’s face it. I look at my great great grandfather way back that’s traveled from England. All of the shore is bringing people to the United States of America being related to numerous people. I just enjoy this so much.
Jamie, Claire, Brianna, her husband and their child, they all go back to the 70’s (or 80's). In the "past", they're all declared dead in the fire. Happy ever after in the "future". Jamie is fascinated by the 20th century's technology.😊 His favorite food? : McDonald's !!!😄
The foreshadowing in book 9 does not support J & C dying together in his time; J had a dream/vision of white-haired Claire working alone at her desk under electric lighting, something he had never been able to picture despite C & Brianna trying to describe it to him, but he recognized electric lights when he saw them in the dream. He also had never been to the home Claire was at in his dream, but when he described it to Claire, it was a perfect match to a place she recognized from her own time. So Claire at least will be back in her own time before she dies, which is what Jaime has always hoped for; he dreads that he would die before her and she might be unprotected in his time and possibly end up getting burned as a witch.
I have been watching 2nd half Season 7 and I HAVE to say the writing and content are awesome!!!! Am I the only one who thinks Ian and Rachel have more of a connection/chemistry than Roger and Bree LOL!!! So I am back!! I mean it was really a long long time!! I have been watching Season 2 after they come back to Scotland (after Faith/Paris) just because that part before Claire goes back through the stones is great. A lot happens. Sandringham, Rupert's eye, Claire in the church and runs into Hugh, all the goings on at Sandringham's just great!! But they've done well on this Season 7 Second Half.
I'm not looking forward to second half with her having to get with John... and they'll probably leave it unresolved also which means we'll have to freaking wait another year, two years to see the last bit... it's just depressing at this point. I'm with some of the others on here, just start watching it over again
The last two books were the only ones I didn't read so the show is up to my current knowledge. I don't know what will happen next and it tears me up inside 😅
Book nine ends with Jamie shot again and Claire doctoring him. Seems like a reasonable place to end the series knowing book ten will be out eventually.
They should film an episode with random scenes of the couple doing random, everyday things and smiling at each other. Intersperse them through episodes with no real explanation but maybe have them wake up startled as if it were a dream, then at the end have them go back in time and live their lives in that timeframe.
