Being a loyal fan i can say I've watched the entire series more than once, while waiting through driughtlander but we as an audience can easily binge watch and entire season quickly. What has taken several months or the better part of a year to complete. Having this wonderful story, actors who convey the characters so brilliantly in my life in these past years that haven't been easy for all of us for many reasons has been a true gift . Thank you for this ! I hope it continues, i would love to see the show continue to evolve like so many others that are still running strong in their 20th season. I don't know what your numbers are ? but your show is the only reason i sign up for stars streaming service. It has some good shows but i don't know that i would keep it without outlander? They finally added a few more interesting things this year but they definitely had some programming issues before? I'll hang around to check out the new outlander spinoffs and season 8. I understand if the actors want to do something different? Devoting so much time to these characters alone for 10 years doesn't give much freedom for other things and if that's the reason? I surely respect that decision having industry friends but I'd recommend a call to leading actors who are still working who have been on very successful series shows and seek their wisdom before making that decision? They might be thankful for the security they have now they stayed where they are ? and having a very loyal fan base isn't such a terrible thing. I'm friends with someone who is very well known worldwide for one of those tv shows and she loves her fans to this day.
I would love to the whole family reunite. I think it would be neat to have them reunite in Jaime’s time but with a twist with them all fleeing and going g through the stones as a family to a future date together. Love this show!!
I will miss Outlander, but am still hanging on to every detail in these final episodes. I too wish season 8 would be at least 16 episodes. I will just have to go back to the books to quench my thirst.
I've had the same thought, if they both returned to Claire's original time where they could all be together again! It would be another very interesting story seeing Jamie adapting to future Scotland or even the future America where he once was a great landowner?

I can understand that the actors are getting tired of playing the same characters for so long but for me I could watch them for years yet. I would love to see the earier books plumped out with more episodes being recorded to fill out the story lines until Diana supplied more books. For me I'd like to see Jamie grow old in the Lallibrock of today, or more precisely 1980/1990.
Love the show since forever but I'm getting bored with all the ongoing battles and politics of the Revolutionary War. Like you, I don't trust Starz either, mainly because of the stuff they pulled with season 7. This concerns me quite a bit. I wish the story could go on for a few more seasons at least. Maybe we will get a continuation with a movie or a mini series....hopefully.
Possibly, they did that with Last Kingdom although that movie seemed rushed and probably would’ve been better broken up into a final season but that’s just my personal take on it too.
