What are these ridiculous comments about comparing ballet dancers. “Natalia did it better” “Marianela did it better” both are yes different but beautifully unique. Every dancer will deliver their own interpretation with their little nuances, this it what I love about ballet.

There truly is something very special about her, an aura perhaps.
I love Natalia Osipova. She is one of my favorite dancers. Yet, with all due respect to her, Nela is the Svetlana Zakharova of the Royal Ballet. Even so, Natalia, Nela, and Cojocaru (when she was still there) are the three queens of the Royal. 💖
I think it's fair to compare ballet dancers' different interpretations of a role. Marianela Nunez is my favourite ballerina, but I think Natalia Osipova's interpretation makes a better Giselle. I'm not calling one dancer's ability greater than the other, they are both wonderful artists. And I'm not saying that anyone who champions Ms Nunez in the role is wrong. I'm stating my preference for one interpretation over another and I don't think it's offensive to say that.
I love that I can see how much Marianela loves ballet through her acting as Giselle, who also loves dancing despite her heart condition. So much dedication goes into being a professional dancer and you can’t do it without the passion and love for dance.
oh i love how Nunez dance and always looking at her mom like "mom! see this! i did it!" is so pure and endearing at the same time. She presented Giselle as a young girl with passion with cuteness so well. While in Osipova giselle she seems like floating into the clouds, dancing like flowers flowing all around her, soft and elegantly catches audiences heart and makes you understand how she is outstanding in her village. These ballerina always interpret their character in different ways and in most unique way possible I love them so much and one cannot compare with each other at all!

Nunez just makes me smile. Her joy of exquisite dancing is palpable and knowing her Giselle's moment before the princess richly pours out her happiness of found love in Albrecht; which we learn tragically is not providence. Nunez is a Royal Ballet treasure.

Not only her variation is a delight to watch, her acting before Giselle death is incomparable. I saw her tear up in the scene. Last but not least I find her more attractive and calming to look at. This is ballet... everyone can dance in ballet drama, and besides, Giselle is supposed to express herself by dance. And this is just your opinion, no need to hate on Natalia Osipova so much. Also, in my own opinion, Natalia had a more ecstatic, in love spirit than her, and her acting is more natural, so I prefer her. However, I think Marianela has skill too, all of her moves are so graceful and on point. Their dancing styles are different, and it is this dance you prefer, but you don't have to be such a hater about it.
What's ridiculous is your glorification of Russian technique. Why the hell should the entire world about what Russian ballerinas do? I don't care about an impoverished, sickly thin Giselle. I'd rather prefer Fracci as Giselle over any Russian ballerina, Ulanova included. And FYI, putting a hand on the waist does not 'define' a character. Get over yourself!
Osipova is a different Giselle. But I do wish that she focused less on the gymnastics in this variation. Giselle had a weak heart, so moving around like an athlete should have been impossible.
