My heart goes out to Connie. The hurt that came was looking to men such as the pastor. They started with the Holy Spirit and then looked away. This was and is the problem with believers today. Some look to the pastor, some to the security of being part of the church, some to their headkowledge of the bible and some to the bible as if it is God. In the beginning was the WORD and the word became Flesh (not a book). The bible is a testimony of God and His desire to work in the lives of men if and when they simply will TRUST Him. This requires believing in Him.
I so appreciate Connie's heart for the reality of the Holy Spirit.
Its believers that grieve the Holy Spirit and sadly the church has rejected the Holy Spirit and replaced Him with the bible which is meant to testify of Jesus so that we may come to Him.
I was so encouraged to hear of a believer, Connie, speaking of receiving revelation by the Holy Spirit. I understand her understanding of God speaking to her of jumping and trusting Him. Unless people have experienced hearing from God, the words Connie shares are heard in the intellect. Oh that God's people would trust Him to speak to them. Thank you Connie for sharing the truth that the Holy Spirit is living and real and will speak to us. The truth regarding the movie is that if God doesn't look stellar, then something is in error.
Every move of God has been stopped because of man stepping in to organize or whatever. The church is lacking the Holy Spirit and is full of men guiding, teaching etc. rather than God, through the Holy Spirit in men, and now today, we face a huge false charasmatic IMITATION of the true power and manifestation of God in lives filled with His Holy Spirit.
The gospel is simple ... God is real and believing in Jesus is the only way to God. Jesus promised us that we can trust Him.

For what it's worth, seeing the movie led me to seek and is the reason I'm watching this. I spent much time in the Calvary system (around 15 years) and had never heard of Lonnie. Since seeing the movie, i have watched many videos on Lonnie, the Vineyard, john ruttkay (sp?), toronto, etc.
I believe there are many seeking truth, seeking God, etc. I'm in the middle of book 2 of Lonnie's autobiography "The Great Commision"
Anyway God will get His message out as He works all things together for good.
    Pray for the coming revival

I watched the movie and had a bad feeling about it. It was good but I wondered if it was the truth. I wondered what Connie's stance was and here it is. Thank you Connie‼️

Beautiful to hear the truth, the truth is the most powerful, we should ALWAYS use the truth cos the full truth is Jesus himself, the truth is in a person and only the truth sets you free, Jesus will only work where our longing is for Him and for truth.

This is great to here ! God bless you Connie ! I react when you told us how Lonnie died. It started with Chuck Smith then Bob Mumfod then Chuck Smith junior who told John Wimber that he was gay and then the last father figure and friend John Wimber. This is what killed Lonnie. Peaple close to him FAILD to be realy friend and stand bye Lonnies side. Then Lonnie just wanted to be loved and sought it where he thought he find it and whith what he has experienced it.

I believe that God will use the movie for a great movement because the movie has caused tens of thousands of people like me to discover Lonnie Frisbee. I think that Connie should absolutely tell her perspective on the entire story. She has a very powerful story to tell and it needs to be told. I have a lot of respect for Greg Laurie and I refuse to believe that his intention or the film-makers intention was to tell an untrue story. I think their intention was to make a good uplifting movie, and they did. I have spent the past week learning as much as I can about Lonnie Frisbee, and his life story is powerful and more pertinent now than ever, and it just so happens that the Jesus Revolution movie is causing a wave of interest in Lonnie's ministry.

7:03 Great quote: "The more lies you tell, the more lies you believe, the more lies you believe, the further from reality you get, the further from reality you get the crazier you are."
32:30 God's perfection was that we should eat garbage while the church, the religious folks became fat cats with new Mercedes and new houses
34:47 the Christian people, the bench warmers will lap it up but it won't change lives

Great discussion and I hope that Greg Laurie will sit down with Connie and let her talk. He has obviously heard her criticisms of the movie because he has made videos explaining things like how Chuck didn't actually give him keys to the church in Riverside, but that was just done for the movie.

IMO the movie was written as a story and not a true documentary. There were some things added to enhance the drama and Greg Laurie has admitted that. Most directors and producers do that and it was probably not even Greg's decision to add those details. My husband attended Calvary before the tent, they met in the small chapel that later became the bookstore. It was the same small chapel that was portrayed in the movie. After we were married and I started attending Lonnie was already a legend and I never knew him. By that time we were meeting in a huge tent on property where the new church was being built. The overall narrative seemed to capture the amazing revival that happened, the joy, and the thousands that were saved, a very sweet memory for me. Lonnie was very charismatic, a dreamer. And Chuck was very pragmatic and had a vision to ground us in the word of God. I think he used both of them in their gifts.

Blessings..... I pray right now for Mis Connie Frisbee..... I feel your pain and ask God to heal and minister to you even right now!!!!! to say.... I watched the movie on Christmas Night 2023 with my family..... It was clear that Lonnie Frisbee was the star of that movie..... and he was given very much credit for everything that went on..... There were a lot of details that were not told but.... there was a lot of dirtiness and issues that were told.... My take is that this movie was a story about Greg Laurie and his ministry... everything else and everybody else are second characters. The freedom to do what your are doing now and to ride the wave of the popularity of this movie to minister and set the record straight is more than your prerogative! My message is Do not be Bitter toward other people.... They are all after all Human.... God sits on the throne and WILL set the record straight!!!! God himself said .... whether in pretense or in truth the gospel is preached and therein do I rejoiced. Keep your eyes and face upon the Maker... THIS MOVIE IS NOT GOD.... BUT GOD CAN AND WILL USE ..... EVEN THIS MOVIE!!!!

Discovering Lonnie is the good that came from the movie.
One issue: the “JR Lonnie” to me appeared young, much younger than Connie claims.

He is approximately 50 years old though. Look him up, Jonathan Roumie. He certainly appeared significantly older than the actor playing Greg Laurie.

Connie referred to if there was truth presented in the movie or any talk of the Jesus movement, it would be revealing that "God is stellar". The central focus of the movie was men ... not the power and move of God.
Sure men were involved in the water baptisms but there was no recognition of the sweep of the power and move of the Holy Spirit that brought all those young people.
She said that it's not about studying the bible but it is all about the Holy Spirit ... His power and move in human beings bringing life and transformation. So it was in the days of the early church when all they had was the Old Testament scripture where "the Spirit of Prophesy testified of Jesus" so they may COME to Him. (See John 5)
Watching this 'Jesus Revolution' movie is not going to start any movement of God ... only the moving of the Holy Spirit. Will He use the testimony of men upholding men and the man organized church ... NO! However, in spite of that, He can still touch lives with the truth of WHO brought all those young people to loving Jesus. It certainly wasn't Chuck Smith or Greg Laurie or Lonnie Frisbee ... it was and is ONLY the Holy Spirit moving in lives. The Jesus movement was a sweep of the Holy Spirit in young lives on roads of destruction. His power and love was evidenced in and through these young lives. The Holy Ghost brought Jesus into these lives ... not men. All we can do is give our testimony of the move of God in our life that the Holy Spirit will give witness to the reality of God and Jesus.

I recently left a cavalry chapel in Philadelphia. These men do not have the Spirit of God in regards to their teachings as well as their outreach. The church went by what you call the Moses model. That church also had 50 members at the most. In fact the pastor I had used the same exact tactics as the men including Lonnie that she talked about. The pastor would restrict others in ministry. His main goal is to bring in dangerous youth off the street by feeding and love bombing. He would even steal ideas then claim the Lord laid it on his heart😂😂Nothing to do with the gospel. Not just chuck and Greg but it sounds like Lonnie as well as this lady Connie. Everything is all about THEM. What they did how they did it. Especially the church I attended. But I would like to ask Connie what was the gospel that you all taught? What is the gospel you believe?I know the Calvary I attended had a false gospel, which is lordship salvation/surrender your life, turn from all your sins. Lonnie was with lots of false teachers who had a history of "casting out demons" and his first time "seeing Jesus" he was fried off acid. He took his clothes off and ran towards him😂Connie you made it sound as if this pastor kissed and touched you without your permission yet didn't report it? Then every little thing You've done you believe Jesus keeps bringing it up? He will chastise who he loves but there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. Point is perhaps it wasn't a Jesus movement. Perhaps it was another Jesus moving. Or maybe it was just you guys flesh doing your own will. Without faith it's impossible to please God, which is what Connie admitted to not having. Therefore again I ask, what was the gospel y'all taught?

Yes 💯 to everything you said. I DO believe the movie is starting a revival. But may or may not in the way man intended it. When people watch it they learn about Lonnie. Greg was a boy too. The church monitized the Holy Spirit and gave them burdens too large to bare rather than confessing our sins to one another and being healed. This movie is an example of our failure in the Church. How corruption can prey on innocence and isn’t Christ the example of innocence? Matthew 27:4. The most innocent man to live. And man capped the Spirit for worldly reasons. His Spirit lives and there IS a new revival coming. Free of another religion, but with unity and healing. It says all over the Bible, kick the evil one out from among you. Rare quality. We divided the church and it divided 45,000 more times world wide. So we know longer know what we always knew. Forgiveness of sins is for those with a pure heart. It doesn’t cover blasphemy of the Spirit. I don’t say that to judge Chuck, God used him. There is one Judge and He is Truth. We will all see him. Wow to those that hurt little children.

It’s good to withhold judgement on this. She doesn’t give a lot of evidence for any claim she makes, and much of the discrepancies could be honest mistakes without sin.

    • @meganlovesJesus587
      @meganlovesJesus587 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

When the church of God decides not to judge those in the church, it is equal to planting a seed in the dirt and unburying it to give what you were given back.
We are to judge those IN the church with righteous judgment. Her entire message was an example of her and Lonnies innocence and vulnerabilities. They were violated as children from care givers. They were violated by the CHURCH, men of God, for selfish evil motives. They were told the “appearance” of man was more important than the appearance of Love from the Holy Spirit. This confused Lonnie and made both of them stumble because no one looked out for them, they used the Holy Spirit for financial gain. Greg was a kid himself. Woh to the church. He is coming with VENGEANCE for the sins preyed upon those we are supposed to protect. Keep quiet and repent.
