Living in Arizona is quite a unique experience because of the vastness that the state offers. From the Sonoran Desert in the south to the high country in the north all the way up towards the Four Corners east and the Grand Canyon in the west. Known as the Grand Canyon state, Arizona is diverse in many ways. The state tree is the Palo Verde, the state cactus is the Saguaro, the state bird is the Cactus wren. If you are thinking about moving to Arizona feel free to subscribe and check us out on our other channels.

I used to be a courier, and I got paid $100 to take a package of prescription drugs up to a nursing home in Sedona every Saturday morning. I would stop by my friends house to pick him up and we would get up there when the sun was just coming up, stop on the side of the road next to Oak Creek, and catch our limit of rainbow trout before dropping the package off. Then we would go home and have a fish fry with the neighbors.
    Good memories.

Key highlights you missed in the towns you covered:
    - Sedona: Mesa Grill at the Airport
    - Bisbee: Stock Exchange Saloon & Grill (original massive stock market chalkboard on wall)
    - Jerome: Haunted Hamburger (great food and view)
    - Cottonwood: Merkin Vineyards (way up on hill with beautiful view)
    - Prescott: Whiskey Row Courthouse square
    - Verde Valley: Train ride, many vineyards in the area, as well as the popular Sedona Adventures "Water to Wine" Vineyards and Kayak ride

I moved away from Arizona in the early 2000's to work on the east coast. Before I left I spent a lot of time in Sedona...at that time there was just 1stop light in the entire town. Oak creek canyon had a great little hotel where you could not get your phone to connect to the internet. At night you could see all the stars. When back when I retired to Tucson last year. My cool hotel was being torn down and there were multiple lights and turn around. People crammed together..."Paved Paridise and Put up a Parking Lot" sigh memories...sigh...

I was born and raised in AZ. I have been to the canyon at least 4 times, so breathtaking. The ski lift at Snowbowl in the fall is so beautiful, just bring warm clothes and blankets. Humphrey's Peak is over 11,000'. I love Greer, this has to be the most beautiful place in AZ, other than the Grand Canyon. I live about 12 miles south of Holbrook, so I'm quite familiar with the Petrified Forest/ Painted Desert. I have lived in many areas of AZ and there is so much more for me to see. Also the Grand Canyon train is so much fun, give it a try. TFS 👍

I have stayed at the North rim 4 times. I live in phoenix, and you have to pass an area of Flagstaff before noon to miss the thunderstorms that flood and often close route 89.
With pee, leg stretching stops I find getting to page, 130 miles away from the north rim, takes 8 to 9 hours. I usually stop overnight in Page, az, and drive to North Rim the next morning.
Keep in mind that for much of the drive from page to the north rim Ranger shed is 130 miles of pitch dark, winding road with no cell coverage that floods when it rains. It is a beautiful drive.
I bring oxygen and a satellite communicator.
There are bison in some areas. Don't approach!

Really nice guide, but check your spelling at the 8:09 mark. Also a fun fact of Tucson is it was also once the state capital. Oh, and UofA has a doctorate program in Astronomy related subjects because just 1 hr 12 min southwest is one of the world's leading observatories, Kitt Peak National Observatory, and yes, they give tours.

I’ve watched a lot of your videos and so far have seen nothing about Sierra Vista. It’s 73 miles SE of Tucson. Really good retirement place, about 435,000 residents and all the shopping you need. Clean, safe, quiet, weather is better than many other AZ places. I was there in April. Gas at all stations was $3.59 per gl. In Tucson, ALL gas was $4.79 per gl. Huge difference. Can buy an average 3bed/2bath house in low to mid $200k and property taxes are low. Not a bad drive to Tucson, can do it in 1hr, 20mins, straight flat good roads. I live in Chapala, Jalisco and probably moving to Sierra Vista next year. Can you do a video on Sierra Vista?
    Thanks!

I have a piece of desert in the yucca area. It is just a piece of cactus infested, sand with a plowed out sand "road".. no power, no water, great spot. I head into Lake Havasu every second day for supplies/water and kayaking. I tour the surrounding places of interest. Only there in April, but I have friends that stay November to March. Even leaving from Phoenix, which is fairly central, it can take hours to reach some of these destinations. To enjoy most of these an overnight stay would be advisable.
