Thank you for these videos Russ. I grew up in SoCal and my dad used to disappear on his weekends and I never knew where he was going. When I turned 14 he started taking me and my best friend. He loved the area between Laguna Dam and Picacho Peak. This was in 1970. Nobody was hanging out there back then. He would never go past Parker Strip because he said that there was too much civilization in that direction. I miss my dad and those days. Oh yeah, he loved to go froggin' in the reeds along the river. We would eat fried frog-legs for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 🐸🦆🐟❤️🇺🇲
Hi, Just wanted to ty & your daughter for all the work you do on the channel. My parents had you on when I was visiting and the sound of your voice captured my interest first. So I started watching and now I’m hooked. I love you laugh along with your voice. My parents are in their early 80s and can no longer travel so with your channel they sort of can. So I wanted you to TY guys! Look forward to future episodes. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from the Coalfields of VA! Love Cecil & Willy Monk and myself Rebecca Street 💜
Forgot to mention the Jabba the Hut sand barge scene from "Return of the Jedi" was filmed somewhere in these dunes. I remember reading a magazine interview years ago with the late Carrie Fisher where she talked about her experiences while filming there.
I love this trip so many cool things ❤ That collection @ cloud museum was impressive must be a wealthy guy. It’s very good to know about the generator situation in Yuma. It’s such a beautiful contrast with the water and desert. Just all around fantastic video 👍👍
I love your videos so much. I can get away from it all not even being able to leave the chair. Thank you for this. Merry Christmas be safe and God bless you ☺️
Spent many camping Trips at Tumco. Kids were young every Thanksgiving spent it there. If you would have gone left you would seen the grave yard. Tumco not much left but some walls, foundations. Mine area has the old cyanide tanks, and below them are the huge riffle plates that caught the gold. Hard to believe people lived there. Thanks for the visit.
Thanks for the memories. Wife and I spent December 92 and Jan. , Feb. 93 at Gold Rock Ranch exploring the desert with the other campers. Great place to stay.
Hi Russ, your videos are the most enjoyable out there, others their Hand movement make you feel dizzy and end up not finishing watching them. Keep the good work Russ, YOU’RE THE BEST, THANK YOU TAKING US WITH YOU EVERYWHERE, JUST SIMPLY AWESOME
HAPPY TRAILS , U.S.A. , RUSS, RVerTV FANS. Snow ; Cold - East Canada. Watching RVerTV - Munching Supper. WE LOVE RVerTV - BEST TV ON TH-cam. Thank you Russ.😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Excellent road trip to tag along with. Really blown away by the Cloud Museum and always a good feeling when I see the grand Colorado River. Cheers, Todd.
Thanks for the maps and highway shout-outs, Russ. Some of us have a severe map addiction, hahaha. I'm constantly looking on google, often with a second window open to track your locations and googling around in street view,....ie; traveling along vicariously. Cheers. 👍
Unbelievable how that museum in Bard is. How neatly everything is arranged and staged. That rv was something else. Wonder how many years it took to get it to this stage? In a lifetime no one could restore all of those cars. Amazing!
INCREDIBLE!! The Kawasaki one before this and this one are more the reason I tune in! This is the best Christmas present ever! Thank you! More like this instead of tours of towns please. ROAD TRIP! Yay
woow. day by day i fall in love of america since i am watching your videos i am desperating more and more. i dont know how i can there ! oh my God you are the one only who can help to make my way easier to be there .i dont have anybody who support me to be there .i ve had enough now to be patience .now i cant control myself . oh my God .that would be my last wish for myself .make it come true .😢
First of all, I LOVE all of the RVerTV adventures! ❤️ …thank you!! 😀 It was funny when you said “the van’s shaking, what the heck” 32:17 …then all of a sudden a dirt devil appears, right in front of your rig! WOW, it jumped right over the top of the van!! 🌪️ 🚐 🌪️ Love the signature “Yay” after some remarks …makes me laugh every time! 😂 Well, now you can say …Plank Road …check. While at the Official Center of the World in Felicity … Russ says, Here’s something …a pyramid …all in different languages …that one says watch RVerTV! 😂🤣 I am SO glad you backtracked to visit Felicity, and thank you for putting up the aerial photos and slides with more info about this wonderful “little” town. I researched more about Felicity and hoping to visit someday, I’m about five hours from there. We made it to Yuma Arizona …YAY! 😉 …enjoyed seeing all the places you showed us.
Nice to see the fee to the Center of the World has been reduced from $20 but maybe that's the tour guided price. I came across this several yrs ago and winter about 25 miles from it. I have wanted to see the history of inventions. That really puts perspective of how quickly things have advanced in your own lifetime. Thanks for sharing.
What a great video! I have friends who go to Yuma every winter, it looks different than I imagined. The town of Felicity wow glad you decided to stop very impressive. :) The old prison was very interesting as well. I really enjoy seeing the museums.
I was thinking…there has to be ghosts wandering Yuma Prison! 😳I definitely wouldn’t walk through there at night! 😅I was just waiting for you to mention ghosts! And you did!! 🥴😆 Also, call me “country” but I never knew there were sand dunes in California and Arizona. 🤦🏽♀️ That’s amazing! I just started watching your videos this week and I’m already addicted! 😁
Wow, Russ, the more of your videos I see, the more I want to get back on the road it's the only way to fly. Yuma Prison, I offered to reenact the hangings but told them I could only do it once. Take care, and Merry Christmas, Mike in Oregon.
I Absolutely LOVE your VIDEOS!! We were snowbirders each year since 2009 to the very same spots you're showing in these clips! Since the C bug we haven't been able to travel to these places and we miss it SO MUCH!!! Came West through Parker to Quartzsite and then on to Imperial Dam where we stayed until it was "safe" ( temperature😉) to go home to BC seeing your videos is so awesome! We can really identify with all those places you show. Would LOVE it if you did a tour to Squaw Lake with that ABSOLUTELY PHENOMINAL new camera you have. I see the roads, the rocks, the trees...how we miss that. Your posts give people like us who've called that place HOME another chance to see it. A HUGE THANK YOU!! Also, your technique is perfection! Not too many voice-overs (perfect in fact) Just the right tempo, steady and no dizzying panning. LOVE the drone footage too. What can I say, WE LOVE IT! Music is also wonderful. We're FANS!
Thanks for showing off this area, Russ! I was born in El Centro, I live in Holtville, I work in Brawley, and I like to spend my weekends out at Glamis! Even though it gets hot here, it's wonderful during the winter and a lot of fun to explore! Happy Holidays to you Russ!
Your videos are tops! This is my 9th winter in Yuma, yet you've shown me things that I have not found on my own. Thanks so much for letting me ride along! 😎
I love your Trips I can't get out so I watch you and your trips and it makes me feel like I am right there with you, awesome stuff and places to see Thank-you for taking me with you . I am from Spokane, Washington
That's MIND BLOWING, & I'VE Never Seen Or Heard of ANYTHING At All LikeThat, Ya it is AMAZING, TOTALLY NEXT LEVEL & NO QUESTION AT ALL, & A Must See THANK YOU FOR THAT
My grandfather moved to Blythe back in the late 1970s. I was going to college in Arizona back then, and he moved there around the same time my college boyfriend and I took a few trips to Orange County, California. We often stopped in Blythe to say hello my my grandfather. He liked Blythe, even though it was really hot in the summer. He lived in Phoenix when he was younger, before they had air conditioning, and he said Blythe reminded him a lot of how Phoenix was, back in the 1930s and 40s.
Hi Mr Rvr. We went to Glamis and on our way back to Phoenix we stopped at Quartzite spent the night at high jolly rode the side by side around town stopped at your friends game store. I mentioned you and they gave me one of your stickers! Great people they are. Had a beer at Beer belly’s checked out swap meet. What a great time!!!! Be safe and Merry Christmas to you and your family🎄🌵
I remember Yuma ,especially Yuma Pass! That was back when cars had a tendency to over heat, and seeing the cars and trucks lined up going over the pass on the side of the road to cool off was a norm. It was nothing to be at 105 degrees at three in the morning. LOL I even remember the signs saying stay off the grass, due to it being artificial and it melting to your feet.
When I was in Quartzite last year we visited Yuma and came back the route (followed the RV GPS) might not have been the exact route but close definitely different than AZ 95.
Hi Russ good video, can you please let me know we're in quartsite I can get a fuel pump put in my GMC truck I'm in roadrunner now thx so much I really like your video s. Thanks so much Joe
I wonder what it cost to design, make that stone memorial? How many people to write/edit/approve over and over. I like the new music addition in this show. Fits real nice!
Oh, I remember the heat Teach.... Spent a lot of time at MCAS Yuma in the late 60's. A buddy had an old Chevy station wagon with no windshield... Been on a few trips on back roads (100 MPH or better) heading to San Luis, Mex... The young and foolish daze, but I survived....
LOVE THE DESERT, Thanks RVerTV, Russ . Yuma Arizona, Yay Let The Journey Continue. 👍
I😊

What an incredible video, Russ! Not a dull second. Thank you, Russ, for the journey.
Great drone shots, its really cool to see this part of the country. Hope to explore the area one day. Safe travels Russ.

There’s a bar out in the sand dunes. If you’re looking at the store it would be at your 10:00. Called Boardermans.

When my Mom brought me here in the 50ties we could drive a loiterer bit of it.

The metal staircase was part of the Eiffel tower in Paris when it was in it's construction phase.
u do such a good job...
Merry Christmas and Happy New year.
Once you see a few people going you follow them because you know if anyone coming they just see person after person and they know it safer that way
Stone etchings are usually done with a rubber mat and a sand blaster The rubber mat is cut so that what you see is what's blasted
thank you very much Russ ! 👍
@rvertv
We had those grinders and used it for dry corn. Thats how we made corn flour in mexico
Russ, I believe that the movie you were trying to think of was called 3;10 To Yuma. At least that's the only one I can think of.
I s the free camping on the Colorado on the Az or Calif side? Or both?
There's nothing free in Calif...
@@rogeeeferrari Yeah, I didn't think so. Thx
