Halo in Thrid Person, for some reason, gives the games a whole new flavor! That's what's giving me the most drive to play the games again after all these years.
It's Reach in 3rd person, you get to wear your own armor
Got that Gears vibe and it works both 1st and 3rd, it’s awesome. I remember 3rd person in Modern Warfare.
It’s definitely impressive what that guy was able to make. It will be cool to see what he works on in the future.
Overhauls for 4, 5 and Infinite I'd imagine.
It would definitely be interesting to see what modders would do with 5. They’d definitely be able to fix the gameplay, but the awful story is already set in stone.

The only thing I can think of missing here is expanded levels, reintroducing cut content and expanding the variety and number of enemies even further. Looking forward to play this.
I myself do not enjoy the cut content. The SPV3 and the other Halo CE mod adds this back but it breaks the pacing very badly.
@@KevTheGalaxybender How does it break pacing at all? The speed at which you complete things and the speed in which you learn things is still the same.
The only real thing pacing wise is more things are available quicker, as there is a bigger sandbox now, but if you've played Reach before, it's more of a breath of fresh air.
i know that i'm likely going to get a lot of flack for this, but after playing this mod, as well as ce again. i realize how much the sandbox starting with halo 2 got changed to favor precision weapons over almost everything else.
It certainly did change. With all of the mods that have come out for Halo CE, Halo CE is still my favorite sandbox for Halo. Many mods make it clear how great the AI is in CE and I think the lack of precision weapons make battles so much more reckless and prolonged.
@@KYOTTH-cam personally I agree. I love Mythic's implementation of crouching for best accuracy. I could use that in almost any shooter game and be so happy that my short/medium range favorite weapon can now have more functionality.
It's mad how much the sandbox dropped between H5 and Infinite, nevermind any of the other titles.
I agree though, shooters changed and Halo had to with them. It's a shame we lost the Halo CE MA5b after such a beautiful introduction though. Used to love sparying 5.56 full bore at point blank or pacing the shots from long range.
Don't get me wrong, I love the long range weapons but miss the up close blasters of the past.
Shit the bed, I love Halo. It's a shame how far it has fallen due to the greed and short-sightedness of game developers with a fraction of the vision and passion of the author of this mod.
2 is by far the worst about it, they course corrected starting in 3 to make it so precision weapons are strong but not the universal solution
The transition to the MA5B is really special to me
i cannot believe im saying this rn.. 3rd person works so incredibly well, it almost //belongs// in the gameplay. the sprint to cover, the ducking and firing.. wow
New intro looks sick and ay you covered the new hunter dismemberment.
The double barrel is also very cursed
I was making the video and got about 3/4 the way through when I saw you updated the mod to include dismemberment for the Hunters.

Man I love the music for the pillar of autumn mission and this mod only makes it better by making the last push more intense !!!
Having just beaten this for the first time (on heroic), it really felt like being 12 years old, and playing reach for the first time again.
I was kind of hoping to see silent shadow appear in this, would have been cool to see them during the final missions of the game.
There's some placeholder variants in a few missions. I'm actually working on their armor right now.

That elite got rekt with the machete
The machete was supposed to be a usable weapon in the OG Macworld build of Halo CE. Amazing to see this weapon being used!

This looks so good! The grenade launcher on the assault rifle is awesome, so is the Gungoose.
Someone had way too much fun editing in “lens splatter” and other screen effects. Good video and I did enjoy the little extras.
This kinda makes me wish people were still doing reach machinamas, with the game being on pc there would, hopefully, be much better production quality
I downloaded this mod and replayed the campaign over the course of a weekend after watching the first video. The new stuff made me feel like I was playing Reach for the first time, kinda.
I cant wait to have a go at this

Only a few things bug me lore wise but it makes the game very fun from my viewpoint
Lore doesn't matter in a mod named Mythic. He even recited the definition in the very beginning of the vid lol

This is definitely a fun mod to play through, but I definitely wouldn’t say it’s a replacement for the original vanilla release. A player who’s beaten the Reach campaign a few times and is looking for a new experience should definitely try this out, but this should never be a player’s first experience with Reach.

He never says it’s a replacement, and I never claim he does. *I* am saying that *I* don’t think it’s a replacement for the vanilla game.
I’m not attacking the mod. Like I said in my original comment you didn’t read, I had fun playing through it and would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed playing the vanilla campaign, but it shouldn’t be a new players first experience with Reach.
Make sure to read this comment before you reply to it so I don’t need to make my point a third time.
EDIT: Also, of course you’re named after the worse dlc for F.E.A.R. XD
@@Truly_Rudly, I could definitely see this mod spoiling the game for newer players, then they play vanilla and it’s not the same as it is, they’d probably not even wanna play anymore.

How to u use underbarrel grenade launcher
On pc it’s bugged rn cause there’s no key for it. On controller it’s the grenade button.
I think you have to hold the fire button? he said that in the halo 3 mythic overhaul mod vid.
It's the grenade button for controller. I'm not sure about keyboard and mouse.

Is there a way to play the mod without the techlines at the top and bottom of the screen? I'm not a huge fan of the halo infinite techlines on the HUD.

How do you fire the under barrel grenade on the M37?
iirc, the author said that the alt fires are bugged with reach on M&K, you have to use a controller.

Great video. Where you able to find the LMG at 11:42 for New Alexandria? I was only able to find it after I disabled the jammer and get surrounded by elites but I wanted to use it at the start of the level.
I found the LMG at the sniper spawn on the third level of that Ivory Tower section.
Next to it is that Data Pad I show right before I pick it up, it's just to the right of the data pad.
I didn't have it at the start.
I reccomend not disabling the jammer before going up there by the way haha!
@@KYOTTH-cam that’s what I thought. I picked it up in that ivory tower section too. So how were you using it at the first encounter lol? I was going crazy trying to find it. The first encounter for me is always heading through the hospital.
@@theyflynow9301 I see. I believe that level alters the order of the buildings you enter. So in my case I had to enter Ivory Tower first and then I was directed to go to the hospital, therefore, I was already equipped with the LMG.
I've noticed some of the aerial objectives change from different playthroughs too.

Do the suppressed weapons actually reduce the enemy's awareness of you?
I have question about MA37 with granade launcher i cannot figure out how to activate granade launcher wich key fires granade launcher
I love this mod so far, but I wish the br had the actual concept art model. Same with SMG and AR as well... Everything else.. top notch!

I don't think the creator of this mod has addressed the issue with co-op and I know he's probably a very busy person I just hope co-op will become playable soon.

Eh I don’t think the saw and the LMG should be in the same mod. They are both practically the same thing so having the saw seems a bit redundant.
"Eh" it's a mod, you can choose to use whatever you want, dumb dumb.
Only thing it's missing are Prelates.
And I guess a few more allies to try and rescue.
Still kind of sucks the co op does not work for this mod without crashing on ya

So how are rounds in the smg being fed if there is nowhere for the casings to eject to make way for new rounds?
Well, I assume the feed system is the same as normal guns, springs. How the bullets eject out the gun with high velocity though, I don't know.

@@brokenpotato438 perhaps? I know there has to be ammo pickups for smg in halo2 campaign somewhere.
Literally, just look it up. There's so much Halo fiction out there. Just type in Halo SMG and it literally has a section for its caseless ammo.....

Can you do co op?
I wish the mod overhauled friendly army trooper AI. Making them have better accuracy, more health and overall be less useless than they are in regular halo reach. Halo 3s levels like tsavo highway and other missions that included AI marines were fun because they were actually somewhat useful to fight alongside, actively damaging enemies and helping the player instead of being glorified bullet magnets like they are in reach
He literally says this mod improves the AI.

The game will most likely get a co-op error midway through a mission. We don't know when this will be fixed.
Anyone else having audio issues? None of the new weapons have firing or reloading sounds plus the grunts and elites don’t make any sounds either.

According to a comment by jibbily its the grenade button for controllers. and also prob the key for whatever the grenade key is mapped for keyboard.
Pressed thet keybind for the grenade with that weapon nothin happened
