I really don't understand how the co-pilot could be always synchronized with the curves... how he can't be lost sometime... It's a mystery. This guys are machines.
They're not even in sync, they are a few hundred meters *ahead*. So they have to pay attention to the current position, as well as read the notes ahead at the correct pace. It's a difficult and scary job (I did this from 2000-2006)
Ce copilote Elena , c'est un robot ! Toujours en phase , super diction. Si Loeb est enorme , le mec assis a droite est tout sauf un manche a couille. Si toute la carriere de Loeb a ete accompagné d'Elena c'est pas par hasard.
@@adriangavril4097 de ce que j'ai lu : Prodrive à fait pression pour que Loeb se débarrasse d'Elena parce que soit disant il était pas apte physiquement (Elena a toujours été comme ça et ça l'a pas empêché de gagner 9 titres et faire 2nd d'un Dakar) et qu'il était pas bon en tant que copilote dans un Dakar vu que c'est pas pareil que le WRC . Loeb veut gagner le Dakar alors c'est peut être pour ça qu'il a cédé.. En tout cas ils restent potes, mais Elena a pris sa retraite officielle la, et c'est sans doute lié.

Absolutely fabulous. Seb Loeb is a legend and a genius at the wheel. Fantastic to watch. But i'm curious what was he saying to his co-driver though? I don't speak French so i would be glad if someone gave me an answer to my question :)
he'd just be adjusting notes as they go, like "change that 3r+ to a 4" something simple like that. often they don't talk about anything else for fear of breaking the rhythm.
I am french , just imagine 1 thing. The copilot is a robot. They have a "rallye language" telling 3 to 8 words in an about 50 words language explaining everything about the pilot needs to be fast without danger. He is saying what will appen about 3 or 5 sec before. Loeb is impressive , the copilot is too (Daniel Elena). He is easy to understand , don't make mistakes, always at the good moment. Loeb never changed his copilot because Elena was very very good too. There is no rallye champion without a very good copilot.
