1:30:55 This dialogue is quite layered. The first joke on the player is Sans actually hinting at Papyrus’ special blue heart attack instead of the don’t move light blue attack by using the dark blue colored text. Doggo’s light blue attack prior was a set up to this, putting the player in a specific headspace which makes them assume that’s what Sans was talking about when he mentioned Papyrus’ special attack, before he then goes on to talk about the actual light blue attack mechanic the player was introduced to. The second joke is more straightforward, him changing the text color from light blue to red when talking about red stop signs, then on top of that finishing on yellow text to troll with a player who is focusing a little too much on the color coding. Finishing on the yellow text isn’t only a good way to end the bit, it also makes perfect sense game-wise, as “blue stop signs” was important enough to be highlighted in yellow; If you recall, any text that is deemed important or crucial would be highlighted in that same yellow. Case in point, I absolutely love this dialogue. One because it’s hilarious, and two because the colored text actually makes perfect sense in how it’s utilized and referencing.

I feel as though backseaters probably have that mentality. They feel as though what they are doing isn't bad, even though it's just ruining the experience. It's like taking a bite out of someone's food without asking them first
For Chara, from Google definitions: "Backseat gaming is the practice of watching someone else play a video game while providing unsolicited advice, instructions, or commentary on how they should play."
The one person that actually got the "sans's voice is an edited soundbite of Patrick from Spongebob" thing is the person that gets told theyre incorrect. Chill, shut up, I'll wait for the streamer to tell me he doesn't want help, can't you read? That Rosey, Cha and other watchers in the chat are fricking horrible. Disgusting. People like that ruin the game for streamers. Dont you people read? NO SPOILERS NO BACKSEATING. Its so sad some supposed undertale fans do not get what the game is about. Its about your own choices and about your own consequences. Toby tried to trick you in to killing Toriel, and then flowey hints you can load the game and try something else. Toriel is your tutorial for pacifist, and if you miss it, you do neutral and deal with the emotional consequences of your actions. Unless a moron who already experienced those cool moments comes and ruins it for you by tspelling out for you what to do rather than let you figure it out yourself and feel smart. Let the guy play, let him make his own decisions. The fun is in finding how to do things and have the consequences of your own choices. If you go "You need to cheer and then spare" Then whats the point of him even playing the game? If they read this, I hope it makes them think twice about it and stop ruining the game for streamers and friends. Undertale needs no guide, and is better played without people telling you what to do.
I get the helpful hints when asked. But this man was robbed of a blind playthrough. They read it at the top, then proceed to ignore and live in denial. This is more a lets play together.

At least some of those felt like they were intentionally trying to be toxic, so they'd get banned/timed out quickly. Nowadays just feels more like the dumb, can't take a hint, kind of annoying. The game does a plenty good job explaining itself, streamers don't need everything told to them, and doing so tends to distract from details that would teach them faster than trying to force. ...No, wait, never mind, that one Twitch commenter wasn't shutting up for anything. And was braggadocios about how much they know about the game, like that made they a more worthy of the game than than someone trying to experience for the first time. Should have gotten banned long before they finally got called out. Did this stream not have any informed mods logged in on Twitch that day? Although, at least the TH-cam moderator kinda doing a bit of backseating (seemed to be without being asked a few times) also hadn't played the game before, either, so that's a bit more fair. I guess after a game gets old enough, that gives time for a whole new crop of people who have never seen it firsthand, so no moderator to be able to judge why watchers are getting out of hand with potential spoilers. P.S. Scientific studies have shown that humans are actually overwhelmingly garbage at accurately reading what someone wants from body language and facial expressions, especially of strangers. That's why you should always wait for explicit spoken or written consent in all things, not just assume you know best.

maybe its the way you're dressed
the fact that no one talks about the wrong number call is crazy lol, some rare easter egg right there
it's pretty common actually, has roughly 30% chance of happening iirc
The backseating is just crazy, how some people in the chat just don't let him do his own route, it's literally how the game was intended to be played.
And I have to mention it, in 1:41:20 some legend say "just ignore chat", and this guy replies with "no, keep following my instructions", like what? This guy looks like a kid throwing a tantrum, honestly.
One because it’s hilarious, and two because the colored text actually makes perfect sense in how it’s utilized and referencing.
the backseating in this stream is so infuriating man, undertale fans literally cannot restrain themselves from telling people how to play their game which is insane bc like the whole point of undertale is that you play it the way you want to and then live with the consequences of everything you do. like, did we learn nothing from what happened with markiplier???

@@AmberbubblesX it seems like tbey did give a one or two legitimately heplful tips at the very beginning and the streamer was like "yoo thanks man for the tip that was so helpful!" and then they just continued chasing the attention and positive feelings of being helpful. Even long, long after it was apparent they were NOT, in fact, being helpful, and were instead guiding him in a specific direction and dropping not subtle references to things that aren't revealed or relevant until a lot farther in the game
I know we all hated Chara_Dreemurr, but has anyone else said how entitled they were? Thinking they were in the right and acting like they had some sort of higher moral ground every time
I feel as though backseaters probably have that mentality. They feel as though what they are doing isn't bad, even though it's just ruining the experience. It's like taking a bite out of someone's food without asking them first
For Chara, from Google definitions:
"Backseat gaming is the practice of watching someone else play a video game while providing unsolicited advice, instructions, or commentary on how they should play."
The one person that actually got the "sans's voice is an edited soundbite of Patrick from Spongebob" thing is the person that gets told theyre incorrect. Man, I love undertale, but the fanbase is either really toxic and backseat-y (chara_dreemurr) or say things that are wrong like they're facts (Green56)
Edit: just got to the Doggo fight, Chara telling him exactly how to spare is really annoying me. They couldnt just let him figure it out?

Man, I think the comments section was actually more annoying streaming this game 9 years later than when commenters got really annoying shortly after the game's release.
It was mainly the green56 and Chara they have not learnt to read yet
