Meren of Clan Nel Toth, Underworld Rebirth | EDH Deck Profile

Hey everyone, Will here! Welcome back to a spooky Commander Duo EDH Deck review, featuring Meren of Clan Nel Toth.
This is one of my all time favorite Commanders. She is the Queen of the Underworld when it comes to reanimation. I have play tested this deck and altered it many times. I wound up with a heavy theme on a self milling graveyard toolbox style deck that will never run out of things to bring back from the grave... unless we get Bokuka Bogged. D:

Mausoleum Secrets is a great budget tutor in this deck. One and a black to search for a black card with mana value less than or equal to the number of creature cards in your graveyard. Goes straight into your hand.

Thanks for the deck tech! Gave me some good ideas. You should check out the land Crypt of Agadeem. Makes Black for the number of creatures in your grave which will be A LOT

Awesome deck. How does it usually win though? Jarad/Lord of Extinction? Massacre wurm?

It’s nice that the full art version from mh3 was under 10 bucks bc it’s a nice looking card. I picked that version up for my meren deck. She runs well with eldrazi scions and I think she will synergize well with ygra from bloomburrow as a good sac engine. If I had more titans I’d make her a full eldrazi deck but the scions are real money makers as far as generating mana early game and also pumping out counters faster than usual with just ramp. You can use the scions to cast a big creature and then use the experience counters for another large creature
