  • We are really enjoying these wonderful Inner Hebridean islands. This time it is Arran, a much shorter crossing that you can make from Ardrossan, south of Glasgow, or as we have from Claonaig near Tarbert where we are staying for a week. The surprise of Arran was immediately realised as we rode off the ferry. Very different from Islay, much more the Scottish Highlands in miniature, mountains, Glens, Woods, it is all there and great for biking. You must do this, or Island hop and make memories!

Very nice. The background music seemed fitting for this video.

Appreciate that…spent more time finding the music and getting the timing as good as possible 🤗

@@MdK46 thank you appreciate that. So few views of the bike travel videos compared to rebuilding bikes, which always cost twice as much as I could sell them for so hard to do that on my state pension😵‍💫. So I haven’t done any for a year…sorry😭

@@normski3091 cause you used to fix a lot the GS, haha :). I'm doing research on the Arran, Islay and Mull and your videos stand up; i was in the Highlands 2 years ago and i can see from your playlist i already watched some of your other videos. It takes time to bring a video here but i bet, with time, your travel videos will raise above the other ones. we look forward to your new adventures with the shinny Honda ;)

Enjoyed the film what great weather you had for your trip. You would miss so much in a car , definitely best on a bike.

You are so right...the difference between a car and a bike is enormous. This is a wonderful island to ride on a bike😆

I have done this, like you in lovely weather, but I would like to see Arran in January before I moved there...

@@dynamicdad1054 yes it is amazing. I lived in the Shetland Islands for 11 years and actually the winters were wonderful, sometimes, it was the summers that disappointed ☹️

    Beautiful day for it....
You could have gone round Blackwaterfoot up Machrie past Pirnmill back to Lochranza...did a full island loop.....

Sorry John…never realised. I also used to get annoyed as I lived in the Shetland Islands for many years and people would arrive and call them the ‘Shetlands’ 😱😵‍💫
