Umm... dude there’s several modes in each minigames past the one that you do to get the stamp in each level. Playing these modes increases the engagement of each mini game :)
Go Vacation certainly isn’t worth the $50 price tag but I’ve honestly been having a lot of fun with the game. I really really enjoy exploring the resorts. That’s what I spent most of my time doing. If they had peppered the resorts with more things to find then just cosmetics it would be even better.
In my opinion I think this game is the next best thing to Wii sports/switch sports. I love the open world exploring and all of the resorts have so many things to do. I do agree with the price though this is more of a $40/$30 game. If I did a review on this I would give it at least a 7.5/10 .

The open world is more intriguing than most of the mini games. It provides a lot of fun, especially when you play with multiple people. Depends what you're into I guess.
You know you control your characters in the tennis and volleyball after you play it a few times. There’s many things added to the games after playing them several times ie more tracks for the racing
Got this game when it came out on the Wii around age 10-11, played with my older sister and it’s provided some of our greatest memories of the Wii. I don’t think of the games as sports in the sense of Wii Sports Resort or anything like that that needs a ton of depth. They’re more like mini games like Mario Party or something. I think when you look at them in that light you’ll find more enjoyment in them. Plus the open world for people with a ton of creativity and desire for exploration is the real star of this game for me. It’s so relaxing and maybe mundane at surface level, but I think that’s the charm of a vacation. In my opinion, the way to play this game is to play with a close friend or family member and enjoy the possibilities of adventure in the open world, while enjoying the fierce competition of the mini games. This game was built for sibling rivalries, but also cooperative exploration. Hope everyone who gets it finds as much fun in it as I have.
For example he said that tennis has automatic movement when that is only the case when you play it the first time. When you play it again you can choose manual movement. Same thing with beach volleyball. Lots of activities are like that. First the game gives you the simplest version and don't even tell you the full controls. You have to start the activities a second time and that is when they open up the different options.

AND the way he said that there aren't enough levels, means he obviously only played each activity once. It's annoying how the surface was barely scratched by the reviewer...
I’m sorry but playing this game with a friend on local multiplayer or family it’s just so fun when I was younger 7-10 and even now at 18 I still open it up on the wii for some nostalgic fun.
my guess,was that wii sports inspired this game....as the two games share quite a bit in common when it comes to the activities...but they make everything better,on top of throing in a house editor and free roam exploration.

Edit: okay, I was kind of being blunt but while go vacation is more ambitious at what it attempts, WSR is more compact and has a more focused spread of quality across their games. Games like table tennis and golf rank among the best games in their respective Sports in some people’s views I’ve heard. You can respect go vacation for what it tries to do but resort is better at executing its ideas and actually making the game fun to play.
The game is okay and all but it's the closest thing to a Wii Sports Resort-esk game along with some appeal if you're a big fan of avatar customizations and Miis.
Better than Wii Sports. You do know the games actually open up the more you play them and give you more difficulties and options, right? You should try comparing the game to other minigames. Way more polish and content.
A few other titles I've played myself that personally recommend for multiplayer: Bloody Zombies (an arcade style beat em up that's digital only), Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Puyo Puyo Tetris (I absolutely love the Swap Mode in multiplayer) and Ultra Street Fighter 2. As for Go Vacation, I couldn't tell you since I haven't played it. But since you said you and the roomie needed a few...
The Wii version is better in my opinion. There are much more things to do and discover in the resorts. The switch is basically the minigames.... And thats it

@@callinater6133 It's great don't get me wrong, but some of the added games were just okay. The only highlight to it for me was the plane. The frisbee game felt like it wasn't precise and table tennis is fun for like five minutes.
@@Benjamillion table tennis is actually the best game in the package imo and frisbee has a learning curve, no pun intended. The plane minigame is honestly overrated imo. It’s pretty bare bones compared to everything else. Swordplay and golf are amazing as well even if I personally can’t stand the latter. I kind of take back what I said though, since these games can’t really be compared. They’re very similar in setting only. Ones an open world life sim with minigames and one’s a dedicated sports compilation with more mechanically deep games. Go vacation is not a replacement for Wii sports resort at all, it’s very much it’s own thing.
Make a review of LEGO city undercover so no one buys it. The game is ported really badly and it genuinely made me sad that they didn’t even try to port it well.
