Sometimes the cheapest room is good because you can travel more by spending less. I love finding a good shower! We have some good nights sleep in an older hotel. Food looked good! Thanks for the tour!
This was the place when it was the Ramada express they had an actual running train around the property early in the morning they had a donut and coffee cart outside the elevators coming down from the towers which was the best bang for your buck the steakhouse which is now closed was also the best in Laughlin you could walk across the street to the Colorado Belle which is now closed :-( they have a great event center on the second floor but lately it seems like it has not been used as much as in the past .. once again thanks for sharing!!
Thank you so much for all of the history! I appreciate learning from others that have been there 😊 would have loved to see the upstairs but it was all roped off
I've stayed at the Tropicana when it was the Ramada Express. It was fine but I also stayed at the Edgewater and even the Colorado Belle. Next time I will stay at Don Laughlins Riverside.
When we visit our friend in Vegas, from the UK, we always visit Laughlin and stay at the Aquarius. We love the peaceful vibe there and walking along the river at night. 😊
Def a beauty! Have a video of that resort and Edgewater coming up soon. Reminded me Most of a Las Vegas resort out of the others. Thanks for sharing your experience there!
Perfect for kids 😊 Easy to keep an eye on them, and partying starting w the energy. I wanna bring them there, for their birthday w their fiends. I like that it’s empty.
My family stayed at the Ramada Express many times in the early 90s when it had a train and a 24 hour video arcade. When laughlin was booming it underwent a major expansion. Haven't stayed there in probably 30 years. Great tour and awesome video.
Casual and comfort is nice. I never worry to much about the room. Like you mentioned, I hardly spend time in it anyways. It's basically a place room sleep. Look forward to seeing the rest. TY
Great video. I have stayed there once and enjoyed myself. Laughlin is a a unique place with a different kind of vibe. Look forward to the rest of the Laughlin videos!
I do kind of like the casual vibe. ButI did notice all the wear and tear on the room. I suppose that isn't terrible as long as it is clean. Thanks for sharing Tropicana Laughlin with us!
Thanks for sharing Jennifer, when I lived in AZ I drive by but have never stopped and visited Laughlin. One of these days we will get there for a stay, live the Colorado River.
Hi! Thanks for hanging with us! Def was a adventure. Was very nice and easy to film without the tourists but I think it would be more fun there in warmer months. It’s right on the time zone cusp which is a trip. We never knew what time it was lol
One event I remember about Laughlin, hot day, enter the front area between the two rows of sliding glass doors. The space was occupied by no less than 9 people, all smoking and breathing from oxygen tanks 😳
Trop is my goto in Laughlin. It’s never busy unless there is an event such as concert or regatta on the river. It’s central on “the strip” so walking from there to any of the other casinos is easy (except Harrahs but shuttle for that)
@@JenniferSparksSavoy nice to meet you too this video is old you came during the slow season 😂 should of cane when we had a full house of 1300 guests back in may/june/july
Yea wish I could! I was using a new editor and it came out louder than expected! I will just have to go back to Laughlin again! Lol thanks for the feedback!
As a Caesars Rewards Member, you should of asked for a complimentary room upgrade, which Tropicana will happily provide to members, if available. Upgraded rooms are what you want at this property and are much nicer than the Classic offering. Actually surprised the front desk did not offer a comp upgrade since the hotel was not busy. Staff is friendly and helpful and everything there is reasonably priced. Been there a few times with no complaints. Laughlin in my opinion is Vegas on the down low, where food and rooms are still affordable and has all the games one might be looking for. As stated in your video, only drawback to the Tropicana is that it does not have river access, but that is reflected in the room rates.
Def seems like a great value! Yea a nicer room would have been nice and helped my video lol thank you for sharing your advice. I will def ask for a upgrade next time. Doesn’t hurt to ask! 😀
@@JenniferSparksSavoy Yes, Trop Laughlin...I live close and have earned free nights anytime I want. The shows at the riverside are fabulous and the seating there is very comfortable. Laughlin is a mellow hangout for seniors. Vegas is to high didge for retirees.
I can't do Laughlin anymore and I used to like it more that Las Vegas. I would have noped right out of that hotel room. Those stains, scratches, and divots in the furniture really turn me off. They look like they haven't been cleaned or replaced in 30 years. I dare you to check the back of the front door the next time you are in town... that is NEVER cleaned in any room in Laughlin. Trop needs to replace every bed, furniture, wallpaper, and carpet in the building before I go back, And bring back the train and throw in a Catholic Exorcism for good measure.
You should turn the music down so it doesn't overlap with what you're saying so people can hear you better.
Thank you for your feedback 😊
You’re so cute! I love your sweet voice and cute commentary. Thanks for letting me see this place. I’ve been wanting to check it out.

@rs3018, I totally agree with your take here. I used to live in Laughlin back in 1994.

Ramada used to support our vets. They used to have a museum of sorts on the second floor.
I miss the train ride and arcade

Thanks for this! I have not been to Laughlin in about 7 years. I’m headed there next week. I look forward to seeing the changes you showed me!
I hope you have a great trip!

4:14 the Chocolate Eclair's are the best here. I'm a local, I come here for all my bakery goods!
Love it there! Hoping to come back in august 😊 thanks for sharing!

We luv laughlin... RIP Don❤
Thank you for this video. We are considering a comped Caesar's Air Charter and trying to decide between Tropicana and Harrah's.
Harrahs was a little out of the way but has a beach and is on the water. I enjoyed my stay at Tropicana 😊
I was the guy with the big water bottle around 1:10 into the video😂😂
Haha no way! Nice to meet you!

Looks pretty quiet....is the Colorado Casino open?...thanks for the answer 👌 😊
The Colorado belle? That was closed. I would have loved to have seen that!
@JenniferSparksSavoy we were there in 2014 it was a neat spot, also had a micro brewery. We really enjoyed Laughlin , hope to go back..

This place reminds me of a 25 yr old cruise ship.
Accurate! Thought it was warm and charming. We liked our stay 😊
Food options are weak. I’ve been to Laughlin, but last visit was in 2014. Stayed at the golden Nugget. Way better there then.
I have been staying at the trop once a month the last 10 years, it's my home away from home.
Thank you so sharing! Glad to hear you enjoy it there so much! We are heading there tomorrow! 😊
Oh wait thought you were talking about Atlantic City 😂 Laughlin is fun too!

The room looks like Tropicana in vegas or Excalibur
Yes! Totally agree!
now...would you ever go back there JSS?Or one and done...
I liked it there. I would stay there again if I had comp rooms other wise I would prob try somewhere else solely because of curiosity!
any idea if Colorado Belle will re open at some point?I know that used to be a popular place there@@JenniferSparksSavoy
nice vid... the background music is a little to loud though
Thank you! Wish I could change it after it’s published. Thanks for the heads up!
seen that its being tore down to put a football stadium up
Las Vegas one. Laughlin is safe!
Music is a tad too loud, hard to hear your voice.
