how do I find a mentor?
To avoid falling into the trap, leverage the trap to become truly great. As I finish University a lot has been on my mind on who I want to be and what I want to become. After watching this I am truly inspired by you Ryan, the positive and driven attitude everyone should achieve one day.

This year is "the pivotal year" for me to do what I was called to do. I have to say yes more and not care about what others are doing and saying because it won't matter where I will be as I age. I don't want to be 75 years young and wonder why I just didn't do it when I could've. No excuse will save me. Glad to see your growth, and I look forward to more DITL.

MDLNY was our 'chill out' TV show back when the kids were little and we finally got them to bed. Then I started watching the vlogs from when you first started - have always loved the motivation, the energy and the structures. I made some changes in my own habits and routines and joined a gym just over a year ago. Still doing my regular job as a high school Deputy Principal (it pays the bills) whilst last month I pitched for a job that doesn't yet exist at a university - created a business case proposal that is 'in progress'. All the while, I'm building an online education business that is almost ready to go to market with client interest already. Oh and I'm about to start my doctorate in education as well. Thanks for doing these videos @MoreRyanSerhant

Ryan is super successful. The question I ask as I watch - is he busy or effective. Running every day from meeting to meeting usually is not effective. I used to do that and was proud that each minute of the day was formally scheduled. I found a few things from this - I was less effective in the meetings because I didn’t have time to adequately prep. The biggest revelation was the impact to my team - I was often too busy to spend quality time with them and they often wouldn’t call me because they perceived I was too busy. Over the last few years I have worked to keep half of my day open - no scheduled meetings. This has allowed me to be more effective and a better leader. The results have been astonishing. Lots of books written about this very subject. Hope this helps someone.

If you want to really impact someone at your team, why don't you set aside a weekly day for shadow mentor. Pick someone new at Serhant make it random..have them meet in a room and draw the name randomly from a fishbowl..make it fun..then take them out and show them your world. That would do more to motivate them to work hard for your vision and their success with confidence. These kids starting out need inspiration and that Ryan can ONLY come from you. The money is out there, and lots of it, the super talent is undiscovered. figure that out and watch Serhant. become a global empire. It's not like when you came up so adapt to the new reality and make little Ryan soldiers
