Just in case, you should LOCK OUT the PTT (transmit key) and be able to demonstrate that you can/have, so there is no question about "accidental transmission," to CYA.
@@RadioWhiz I've looked over several manuals, you can't lock out the PTT on that model, sorry. It's just not advanced, not designed to be a scanner, alone. It's a cheap transceiver. Just don't press the PTT.
Then again, if you haven't programmed the PLtone to activate the fire repeater, then you can demonstrate no interference but, can still accidentally transmit.
