Holy crap I forgot this existed. I remember watching this after the trailer came out in 2011. Seems like a lifetime ago, the hype for Skyrim was insane.

Skyrim is objectively pretty bland. The quests are all very generic, questlines like guilds and the main questline are very short compared to the previous ones, there are little to no RPG elements in the game in the first place (remember the Molag Bal quest? I'm still mad after 3 years) and the game barely improved on combat (considering they removed spellmaking, I'd say they degraded it).
Oblivion had an extremely bland environment and didn't life up to the promises and Morrowind's early game combat was abysmal, but at the very the least they were actually RPGs.

this is the only piano cover I've seen/heard done right, everyone else just jumps straight into the chorus after the intro
To be slightly pedantic, the other people have actually done the main theme correctly. This theme is the one that is played during the Skyrim trailer.

I made a cover, which has Taioo's, Mark Fowlers and AtinPiano's arrangements mixed together and that doesn't follow the original piece at all! I think it's good that it's different.

Music, on guitar, piano... is not about how hard the song is, it's about the song itself, how it sounds, how i feels. If you hear a solo on guitar and it's very fast with sweep picking, it doesn't mean that it's a good solo. There are fast solos that are good, don't get me wrong, but don't judge a song if it's good or not by the speed.

It's a Roland EXR-3. He also has a Casio Privia Px-130, but that's not featured in this video.
basic accords - 5th, 4th, 2nd, 1st, 4th, 2nd, 1st for that first passage. In the other ones exchange 4th finger for 3rd. Thats quite it.

electronic keyboards can go down octaves, doing this makes it easier to play because the notes are more centered and you don't have to compensate your seating position.
