Found NTB over two decades ago and they’ve been my favorite band ever since. Didn’t realize this song was a NTB original until just now. My biggest regret of the past year was having to miss the October’23 concert in Houston. Had to burn 4 tickets in great seats because of poor planning & travel constraints. Someday…
I love all of N-T-B's Christian songs, and I'm crazy for this one! It really speaks to my spirit and describes life so well. We need to live every moment as if it is our last, because it very easily could be! We should never take anyone or any situation for granted, but be thankful for everyone and everything. Thanks, Need to Breathe, for another beautiful song that gives us so much to think about. Lots of love, your devoted fan in Christ, ~S~
So true. Every breath, every day, and every step is a gift...do it right and with over-pouring LOVE...do it GOD's way...HE is always available with open arms.
A sad kind of song, why don't people who love each other do the things they used to do. They take each other for granted and do not realize what a precious gift their love is.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Unfortunately, I made this very mistake and lost my marriage because I took things for granted. Don't let a day go buy without realizing it can be gone in an instant.
Continues to be one of the best groups and vocals I've ever heard,.. have to put Bear and the boys up there with the likes of CCR.. Never forget those humble beginings in the Low Country and where your Father has taken you! What does it prosper a man to gain the world but lose his soul?! God bless you my brothers!
lol side note just to keep a smile on your face.. my grandma Trula Fern (im from Oklamhoma so...) she use to say.."boy don't make me treat ya like Job and knock ya down a peg or two.. " lol i loved her.. she was so wise.. she was a real woman.. she believed in Sarah as a model woman not any other woman in the bible.. she would say if Sarah can laugh at God and live then i can question him and suffer.. Love ya Granny Fern!!!
in the book of Job.. i find alot of truth in it when it comes to not only my life but for others...i'm in my 7th time through it this month and this song takes me to Job chapter 7:1&2.. Job says to his "friends" Aren't we hired laborers? on a clock? here to work for what little wage we get now, in hopes of a raise? (im paraphrasing of course) but this song makes me thing how brevity can be heavier than any axe we may swing or shovel we may drive.. but there is hope and hope makes for good music.
My goodness this made me cry. The years go by like stones under rushing water. Could not have said it better myself! God these guys are brilliant! (*_*)
His voice is breathtaking

I come back and listen to this every once in a while because it hits differently than the other recordings of this song!!! Plus I miss Beau hahaha
I still revisit this performance every 6 months or so. Emotional and so well constructed.
Speechless on how beautiful this song is and how he performs it! Love NTB!!!!!!!!!!
