    I love how you left the huge sneeze in there. Made me lol. That fairing looks really good with the lp6.

    Memphis Shades has great customer service too. I lost a bolt off of one of my hand guards and they replaced it, no charge.

    This was one of the first things I put on my FXLRS when I bought her a year ago, and it was a pain getting everything lined up! 🤬. It works great and I’ve never had any trouble with it. I have a 13” vented screen and almost never ride without it. I don’t have any problems taking mine off and back on but that’s due to practice. I can definitely see someone missing a tab or something and thinking it’s locked in place when it really isn’t. I always, always, give mine a good tug or two or three or four before I’m satisfied that it’s locked in.

      I still am having buffetting issues unfortunately

    I was waiting for you to mention it but how is the vented different than the non vented in terms of wind block? I’ve heard different things that the vented does a better job at wind block over your helmet. Why did you got with vented, purely for aesthetics or another reason? Thanks.

    And I really love the air protection I get from my road warrior… it’s enough but not to much to take away from the motorcycle experience..

  • @jstockwell73
    @jstockwell73 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If you have buffeting, there is some adjustment to the pitch of the fairing you can do via the fork clamps. The mounting points can be loosened. Move the top two all the way forward in their slots, and the bottom two all the way rearward. Made a world of difference for me.
    I’m thinking about swapping out to the Russ Wernimont TXR fairing, but I have too many other mods to do!

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I know man. I have them all set out all the way right now because it fits the light the best so hopefully it works good

      Hi Josh, I’ve done everything u said on my 2022 LRS Road Warrior windshield to no avail I even purchased the 17” & 11” windshields but the windshield persists, I’m going to cut the 17” down to 15” & 13” if needed & the 11” to 9” if needed just so that I can get rid off the wind buffeting, I’m 5.11”

    • @jstockwell73
      @jstockwell73 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@orli2940 sorry your having a tough time. I have a 13” and a 15” non-vented windshields. I didn’t really notice any difference between the two, but the 15” was annoyingly right in my line of vision so I use the 13”. I’m 5’ 10” and have a Harley full face helmet. I only get mild to moderate buffeting at 80+, depending on wind conditions. Below 75 I get nothing. I thought about getting a 11” or vented options of the others but at $100 a pop it wasn’t that pressing to me.

    Looks really good Chris. To be honest, I wasn't really fond of the looks of the headlight on your bike., but after you put this fairing on, it ties in great with it, and really looks good. Great looking improvement! Ride Safe!!!

      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว

  • @johnparker5036
    @johnparker5036 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey man- cool build ! Great videos, too! I have a couple questions for you and maybe a couple comments- if you had to build it over again, how would you prioritize the parts ? I have a ‘22 FXLRS and it’s mostly stock, besides some basics ( saddleman seat, slip one, moons tail light and LED signals- and the one finger levers - which I loved, but it’s caused tranny slippage because it pulls the cable too much and isn’t adjustable). Anyway- I think I’m about your size and am curious about which upgrades have made the most difference. I plan on doing a lot of the same upgrades as you but need to plan it. Haha. Planning on starting with some 10” risers. I also plan on using the Denton quarter fairing and windshield, if you still want a fairing without buffeting it may work for you. Anyway- thanks for the videos, and great bike !

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว

      First of all, thank you for watching me, I really appreciate it! As far as the levers you have, even though they are not adjustable at the bar area your clutch cable still is even if you have the original two-piece system. So you can always adjust the clutch that way the pole fully disengages and engages it correctly and you don’t have to worry about any clutch slipping because if your clutch is slipping at speed, you are just burning up your discs for no reason, and if I had to do it all over again, I would do everything I did right now with the exception of a cam. It’s an awesome upgrade and a completely changed the bike for the better but I did not need it at all and it sucked a lot of my gas mileage out so that’s really the main thing I wouldn’t negate. And if I did not do that, there would be no reason to really upgrade any of the inner primary stuff besides, maybe just upgrading my compensator

    Custom Dynamics have turn indicators that wrap around the fork tube as well as miniature style that fit in the stock locations but are small. Kuryakyn have some miniature turn indicators as well which are suprisingly bright. Although with the fairing the stock indicators dont look all that bad

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I’ve seen all those. Have some small knock off kuryakins on my sportster. But I really like my sequential moons v2 pods in the front turn signals and I don’t wanna give them up lol

      @rollandklontz ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RidinDad I am lucky with my Slim because I can use a stud in one of the fork covers and mount them on the forks.
      I suppose you could use something like turn signal fork clamps that JP Cycles sells to mount them on the forks

  • @Wild-Wisdom
    @Wild-Wisdom ปีที่แล้ว

    Couple things to say.. first I think the Sport Glide version of the road warrior has a larger opening for the headlight cause the SG has a 7" headlight compared to the fxlrs 5.75" and possibly saved you alot more trimming, which if that's true you went the right route running that lp6, i could be wrong..
    Next, I think I'm going to order the same sport glide road warrior kit and a 7" moons light. not sure exactly what I need for the moons light but I guess I'll reach out to them tomorrow. Hopefully, Tucker Speed has one in stock and I can save a few pesos with your code. Thanks for that btw!

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Appreciate it man. I always thought the sport glide had a 5.75 headlight just like all the other softails. You sure it has a 7 inch. I thought only touring bikes had the 7’s.

    • @Wild-Wisdom
      @Wild-Wisdom ปีที่แล้ว

      @Ridin Dad I'm 99% sure the sport glide has a 7" light but what I'm not sure on is if the road warrior changes because of that. It could be the exact same for both bikes or maybe the sport glide road warrior has a larger opening idk. But im going to look now 🤷‍♂️

    • @Wild-Wisdom
      @Wild-Wisdom ปีที่แล้ว

      @Ridin Dad I looked on Memphis shades site. They are different part numbers. MEM7421 for the sport glide and MEM7371 for the low rider. And they do look slightly different around the headlight

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Everything I just looked up says 5.75 man

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว

      The way this fairing flit the lp6 is on par with every other softail fitment I’ve seen so I think it’s the exact same

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had major issues with buffetting and the quality of the dominator sucked. I took it off and sold it. As much as I love the look this bike is about function and if the fairing sucked for speed and long distance it wasn’t staying on since that was my only purpose for it lol
