Dr Bob brings you SCP Foundation Keter Class object, SCP-5172 The Body Harvester - North American Hotel Ice Machines (Zalmunna and Zebah) Animation.
SCP 5172 is phenomenon that affects guests at North American hotels. Affected individuals will perceive an ice machine on the same floor as their hotel room. Individuals who perceive and then use these SCP5172 ice machines will initiate a Zalmunna Event. This is likely to cause an instance of SCP-5172-1 to materialize, and it is very likely to result in a series of events that the individual is not likely to survive.

I actually had to look up the history of ice machines in American to make sure I wasn't trippin'... even asking my mom if she remember ice machines in hotels. Pretty sure she thinks I'm losing it... thanks a lot Dr. Bob, for making me look like a psycho in front of my parents.
Well were they actually far spread? I live in south America but I remember getting ice with my dad on a ice machine when I was a kid. Now that I think of it I have just seen that single one . I wonder if they were far spread or not .

After watching this video long after the SCP Foundation had been shut down, (for me it's 2047, time travel shenanigans am I right?), some of the other Ulti-Wolves and I started to perform some... experiments... with these machines. Ultra-Wolf, Hollow-Wolf, Swordsmaster-Wolf, Sprinter-Wolf and I located the facility, which was still functioning despite the SCP Foundation being long gone, which may be an SCP in and of itself. We brought along our own ice, and also seeked out any ice still in the building. We opened up a few of the machines, put our ice in there, after emptying out the ice already inside. We opened up a couple more, and put in the foundation's ice. Then, as a control group, we left some alone. Now, with the technology we had, of course we WOULDN'T use OURSELVES, we'll just use OURSELVES instead. By this I mean we used weaker clones in place of ourselves, to sort of act like these D-Class personnel that I hear the foundation used to use. While we were prepping everything, we had a large number of clones already working on a makeshift hotel of our own, hoping this would work as an actual hotel. After we were done replacing the ice, we moved the machines into the newly constructed building, and waited. We terminated the clones, only creating more one we see the machines again, and directing the clones to obtain ice. Just note that my clones are acting as these D-Class Personnel. I'm not exactly sure of what happened, but after my clone obtained the ice, I blacked out. I'm not sure whether I had just been knocked out, or if I had been killed and my soul transferred to a clone, but I am experiencing the effects of the SCP. I assume it to be the control group, as nothing seemed different about what had been described, and I hear hurried footsteps, sounding like that of Wolf 2's and Anti-Wolf's, coming from outside the room. (What, you go adventuring with someone for long enough and you notice the distinct sounds that they make, and an audibly tell them apart from other similar sounds.) The next thing I know is nothing but pain. I am normally able to telepathically summon lesser clones, an ability granted once I purified my Canine Soul Shard, thus powering it up to the maximum possible, but in this instance I can barely think. I see light as it starts to fade, and I don't feel anything in my eye, meaning that there is nothing preventing me from going unconscious due to shock, and I reawaken on a stretcher, being carried away. I see Swordsmaster-Wolf, badly wounded, but not as bad as me, carrying out the body of the SCP, along with all of the ice machines being carried out by Sean, Wolf 2, and Anti-Wolf. Apparently they snuck along to make sure everything went okay. It did not. I appear to have gotten the worst of it, and even months later I can still barely feel anything in my right leg, and the upper part of my left arm, but I still have full control over said parts of limbs. Also, when I say that I can't feel anything in those areas, I mean that I don't feel ANYTHING, even pain, as if they had been chopped off and replaced entirely, but I am slowly regaining feeling in those areas. The entity was cut off just before it had gotten to any vital organs, mainly my lungs, and I still have a massive scar on my chest because of it. Thankfully this still went better than that event with that strange metallic zombie goop, somehow.
Been watching a bunch of these, and honestly, the best part is how upbeat Dr. Bob is, even after describing horrible things. XD

Where it breaks apart is the fact after reading about the SCP you can still you know, go to literally any hotel and see a physical ice machine there and confirm yes, for sure, that was a load of BS. The trigger for this SCP being something as mundane as actually using the machine (something I can guarantee every American has done once in their life) is dumb as hell as well, because it doesn't explain why we were not a victim.
This is a cool one cause most of us have definitely been in a hotel with a ice machines. Makes it so we have encountered an SCP And 99% of the time you're drunk when you're going to get ice from that machine

I stayed at a small SMALL motel, I think it actually had "microtel" in the listing when I booked, in New Mexico. It had an ice machine, but it was just outside the main office area rather than in the hallway. I watched this video for the first time like 3 months later and realized that, in 26 years of life, that really was the only hotel ice machine I'd ever used

I have to say that some of the details of this anomaly are played realistically such as the event being able to be interrupted the anomalous humanoid capable of being hurt and zalmmuna event being canceled by just leaving and sleeping at a private residence, along with preventing future incidents by simply taking the ice machines away from the hotels.
