At the least, it could've presented as speculative, and not the same exact titling as their true videos. We DID NOT find space whales anywhere, and this channel has forever lost its credibility. If I want speculation, then I'll go to a speculation channel.

It's a hypothesis, astronomers do this exact thing everyday its just in the form of a paper. If you don't understand the technical side and literature involved space studies than we don't need you in the space community lol.
It's always pleasant to see aliens be hypothesised as a specialised ecosystem of various unique animals, rather than superadvanced humanoids with oversized eyes.
Was I 100% ready to believe that alien life was going to be confirmed by the funny duck youtube channel? Yes, yes, I was. I mean, they were basically the only channel above 1,000 subscribers that covered the conformation of a whole ducking biosphere!
@psylock524 Science communicate is amazingly important, and we need more people like the ones running this channel. but the issue is that you can really only communicate so much science before you're miss-representing what is being talked about. Take the electron that visited another universe a few weeks back. Sure, that statement is technically correct, but I'm sure a quantum physicist would almost blow a lid on how inaccurate and poorly described it is.
My theory is, life on other planets would very similar to life on Earth. Organic chemicals are present for a reason, and to allow life to flourish climates and other environmental conditions must be similar, hence, similar environments one similar basics will results in similar products
2:03 this is one of the limitations of the abstract of the kurzgesagt style, its not possible to capture the beauty in the complexity of structures like this (im not saying that i expect it to)
I've been thinking lately, that while it would be very cool to find other intelligent life, it would still be amazing to find another planet covered in living plants. (Especially if they had already terraformed the planet for us!)

I love speculative biology! Quite a treat to see it from Kurzkasast. Although i do hope this is only an occasional treat- I'd hate to see this channel devolve from fun and legit science topics to tacky sci-fi slop like the History Channel did with Ancient Aliens and the like.

Hello, Divy here I'm a student recently Kurzgesagt has been very interesting for me I am astonished by the animations. Great regards to Kurzgesagt. Ideas like these are impossible to picture.
First of all there's no such thing as planet Nimbus and we didn't find alien whales there. (The video title was "We Found Alien Whales On Planet Nimbus" when this was first uploaded. If you're reading this comment at a later date, they've probably changed it to something less clickbaity.)
My jaw dropped when I saw the landscape on Oersted. A smile lightened my face, and I imaginarily tipped my hat to the anonymous animator who spent countless hours planning the scene. It is pleasantly beautiful, and I thank Kurzgesact for showing a frame I never could have imagined.
Absolutely love this video! Speculative biology is one of my absolute favorite topics! My favorites were the flowers that used magnetism to grow taller, that’s incredible!
