Not the note 20 ultra. I'd recommend getting the s22 ultra it's similar priced to the s22 ultra it's less than $100 difference.

If that's the case, buy a galaxy s5 (it has air actions, air swipe, smart tilt, heart rate scanner, SD card slot, headphone jack, AR blaster) because hardware feature wise the newer the phone the more downgrade because these companies are slowly coming up with strategies of making more profit and rip people off thanks to apples success, if there weren't many isheep and people started ditching Apple for making hardware cut other companies would avoid this but the fact Apple gets away with things and are an evil genius motivates other company to increase there profit.
@JASONKENTJANA only if you're in the US. Otherwise, I'd suggest going with the s21 series or the s22/+. The lowest phone I'd recommend buying is an s21 if you're in the budget for an a55, if your gonna, considering buying something like a galaxy a05 or a 15, the s10e is a better alternative it's a better phone than the a55 so without a doubt don't buy a series m series or f series, but if you could afford something a bit higher I'd say stay away from 2020 flagships or older even though they are still decent phones but despite there being no more updates and the note 20 ultra costing alot for a phone than has been outdated for over a year.

I got the s21 exynos, playing codm br on high graphics, realistic style, 60 fps. Butter smooth with no heating. Mp on very high graphics, 60 fps, smooth but gets a little hot.
Doubt a mid range device could give me the same experience...
Great video! I actually am looking to buy the ASUS Rog 5 brand new now selling for roughly 250usd here in China. Not the greatest cameras (I use my Nokia 808 and Pixel 6 Pro for those things) but huge battery, 3.5mm with ESS DAC (important for me as an audiophile nerd), fantastic display and speakers. I also have the Xperia 1 IV on the radar, 460usd brand new. I never play games on my phone, multitask nor record a lot of videos so I am not worried about overheating.

I'm playing heavy games with Samsung S8 and and giving me better performance then new phones even when playing when charging the phone with no heat , the cooling system is just amazing in this old phones , if this is galaxy S8 what will galaxy note 20ultra give like performance !

Its a pretty hot take but i never got why anyone you pay more than like ~$150usd for an A series. Other than for old people/or as a burner phone they are pretty much ewaste especially as they age.

As far as performance goes, older flagship phones will be as good or better than some newer phones. Smartphones have peaked for many years. The only downside to getting older phones would be the battery degradation. My advice is to pay a little extra and just get a new phone. If you can’t afford the expensive ass iPhones or Galaxies then grab something like a new Motorola. They are honestly as good as other top smartphones but their batteries are far better optimized. I never buy expensive flagships anyway as a midrange can do the majority of the same stuff.

This is serious info to know to help anyone, not debatable, fact.
I had a 4 year old iphone. Flagship. Everything suddenly went wrong with it. Went to a reputable store to fix. Told to go to Apple Store in same mall. Told a nice girl issue. She whispered to talk in corner of the store? Odd? She said all issues with my phone were in the update. She said in the uodate, the uodate was to enhance newer phones, versus other flagships, but in the last update, Apple included software to destroy my phone. She told me they just had a meeting, exact subject. She was to tell customers it was old, likely due to fail, sell a buyer a new one and NOT tell customers the last update was literally, within it, to kill older phones. Wrong colours. Horrible pics. Too long to list. She told me to completely reset the phone to factory, look at uodate, update to the previous update, turn off auto updates, do not update past this one and avoid all updates. She asked if I had a great antivirus with a VPN? I said yes. I had used Norton 360. Bitdefender. Whatever. Didn't matter. She said use that for security updates. They need to keep up with the times to maintain competitive advantage over others. They will keep updating older phones that need older android/ios, far better than from the manufacturer. Thanked her for her incredible honesty and in corner, whispering, was not to get in trouble. I told her this is absolute BS and I suspect other major brands do the same thing, but, they don't have an Apple Store, with an honest worker. Security patches from the company will never compete with top antivirus brands. I get nothing by noting them and her stress, make sure suite comes with a VPN. Mine did. I told nobody in store, obviously (rat out nice honest girl). Did it. Phone worked absolutely flawlessly again. Screw you Apple. Then Samsung did it, no surprise, caught fast. My Note 10+, got update and all picture menus were completely gone. Couldn't pic pixel size. Video size. Nothing at all. Compared same menu with friend, S24 Ultra. Complete change. Contacted Samsung. They said they eliminated original phone pic app completely. Couldn't get it back, at all. They sent a link to trusted 3rd party to get it. Gone, like not on Google Play at all? No. Gone! I don't like 3rd party anything. Did what Samsung said, 3rd party, got proper menu back, with proper menu. My phone was reduced to 12mp lacking the menu. The backlash on Samsung was viral, so no denying it. This needs to be known and fact. Most great apps/games don't need newest android. They want mass sales. You need a great processor and ram. Older flagship only. Mid range won't have great processor /efficient ram. My security updates come from Norton 360 suite. Best value. I had Bitdefender. Kaspersky. I gain nothing by sharing this, but happened and fact. What do games need? Android 12. Fine. Good to go. Maybe android 11. Gaming companies want sales, that means not, must run on latest android/ios. My reference is to both. That nice girl also noted "bugs" in updates, but often "bugs", not always, especially the update killer, designed on purpose to destroy older phone. Bless you girl and your integrity working at the store. The meeting was a day prior to me coming in. She noted she will quietly tell all, as that is greedy corporation BS and she was disgusted, working for them. I suspect LG, gone now, OnePlus etc. It can't just be absolutely Apple and Samsung, Samsung blatantly caught. My goal was to get Note 20 Ultra. Same update ruined that pic/video menu, noted in backlash and removing original proper app from Google Play. Not even sending it to me. A 3rd pary link instead. Screw you both. After 3rd year, no more updates, no newer android/ios and I will get great security from Antivirus Suites thank you. Now you know. Fact. I still use Samsung and Apple products. I am right now, but heads up and fact. Good luck. Info from girl at Apple store, sweetheart and straight from Samsung, but at least, I am informed. Why not in update? Update for Galaxy 2021-2024 only. Do not update prior. That is honesty, I respect it and that creates loyalty. Hope this helps. Sure helped alot of us.
