As someone who's relatively new still to Carp having moved over from Sea Angling for 15yrs or so, I find Alan Blairs videos brilliant to watch, informative and combined with the superb video editing, a joy to watch and learn from.
I love how youve kind of made a modern remake of a passion for angling's redmire legends. Brilliant that mr yates and mr james are still greatly appreciated...
I've seen dozens of clips on the great Redmire, but few have shown it in such a beautiful way. I can through this video see exactly the old timers fascination in the place, and can imagine through the wonderful filming what it must have felt like seeing such magical huge carp swimming in it's depths. Well done on such an exceptional video.
Nice vid Nash/Alan. I watched the Redmire episode of a passion for anglin like 25 years + ago. Thanks for taking me back in time. Now i want to go myself!
Only just stumbled on this. Sat here on a wet March evening took me back to the times 30 years ago when I fished the pool. Lovely video lads and a pleasure to watch all be it 3 years late!
Stunning carp from a beautiful iconic lake. I would love to fish Redmire. I have wanted to do so ever since watching Chris and Bob on there years ago. awesome angling Alan and nice to see the gudgeon challenge as well. Keep up the great work fella.
Great video guy's ,really enjoyed watching ,the pride ,the enthusiasm and the respect shown to the venue and the fish shines through, great tips and beautifully filmed ....you're a credit to you're profession..
Alan thank you for this it truly is one of the best carp fishing films ever. great fishing great presenting and a super angler. > loved it and congrats.
Excellent video guys... As a child, I used to read books and see a few hazy black and white pictures of Redmire. It always seemed mystical and almost unbelievable. We saw some of its beauty in 'A Passion for Angling' but this gave a fantastic glimpse of the home of British carp fishing... Well done!
top video! top bloke! top fishing! and loved the nods to a passion for angling! well done to all involved! my 10 year old son watched this will the same soppy look on his face as I had watching Chris Yates back in the day! thank you so much for that!
how awesome is that to be able to walk ,stalk & fish the Banx at Redmire Pool such a iconic venue ...great going guys hope Carl was able to get a few in between filming ...Alan you make it look so easy 😂😂
Wanted to add that the side by side comparison ofold gear alongside the nash scopes is pure class. Sure its upto date materialls but damn the minimalist look is there and the ethos of the scopes is exactly that. Love my cork sawnoffs used them piking in winter and just switching back on the carp in my local canal and tidal 😎💪🤝🤝
Could definitely see you up a tree jumping out into the lake to land the carp! Chris Yates style!!! Great video always love them. When you going to be doing or putting up some new videos???
So me and my collegue met alan and everylne in london by lea weir bridge in london a couple of months ago.. Was great tk meet everyone... Is our clip gunna be in anything? ;)
after starting to watch redmire forever [ i think it was called which i had to turn off as thought it was shit] i didnt hold much hope 4 this film as thought it would be much of the same, how wrong was i, what a great video and what a great fisherman this guy is, he reminded me of a modern day chris yates. thanks for making it guys you showed the makers of redmire forever how to really to make a video.loved it.
@alanrtment porter true that I caught a torpedo shaped 12lb mirror from the Thames whilst out on a regular summertime Bream, Tench session. That fish fought like a 20lb commercial job on 5lb main line and it took me 30mins to land it. I doubt it had ever seen a hook before.
i watched you pull a brace of 20's out of my park lake and now your smashing it on my dream lake. If there's such a thing as reincarnation im coming back as you, you spawny ....
this is 2016 and the MISTIQUE of Redmire had long since gone. cliche after cleche. After Passion they should have closed it to the public. I couldnt have been the only one cringing. Nothing wrong with the beautiful fish of course just the place has become like DISNEYLAND.
Maybe would have been a good idea to ne wearing a life jacket whilst out in the boat ..a lot of youngsters look up to you guys and you should be leading by example ..apart from that great vid
Such a shame that Carp fishing has become what it is now. Just pop into the local angling shop, buy some tackle and baits that you know nothing about, sit there for a week or two and away you go. Allowing these clowns to fish at Redmire? Oh I give up!
The opening 60 seconds of this film gave me chills. simply amazing lads.

I loved the gudgeon match reference to A Passion for Angling! Still the finest angling programme ever made IMO.
I love how youve kind of made a modern remake of a passion for angling's redmire legends. Brilliant that mr yates and mr james are still greatly appreciated...
Chris yates is defo the best angler that we have known.

Alan's enthusiasm makes him captivating viewing.

Love that place since passion for angling was on bk in the early 90s
Nash Nash, riser pellet riser pellet, buy buy buy!!!!!! Pretty much the polar opposite of A Passion for Angling.
Good vid. Can you ask the editor for the tracklist? Always got the tunes on your vids
i am sure we have seen this allready?
Love it my favourite way all day, off the top.
Big up the Chris's Yates clobber #vintage #passionforangling

Barbless hooks?
I'm surprised that fish was still on when you went for the punt.
How do you get to be apart of nash ?
I've never caught a carp on the bottom🎣🐟🎣only surface fishing and stalking
Jeez thought that was Chris Yates at the beginning
This is repeat footage from a previous video.l
Bez goes carpin, just hope Shaun and the boys dont spook em, rave on.
You fucking weirdo 😂
happy days
Opening tune please
Chris Yates lives on.
Love the fishing but this has just been uploaded for views. It's exactly the same as the one in the DVD. Why?
B'cause I don't have/seen the DVD? Love this Redmire movie, very well done!
ArcticEwi the dvd is on youtube thats why
Why ask if you know the answer yourself
Cracking video
i watched you pull a brace of 20's out of my park lake and now your smashing it on my dream lake. If there's such a thing as reincarnation im coming back as you, you spawny ....
LOL
Love it :)
How did you get away with rule 13. Absolutely no video equipment to be taken onto the estate.
- Extra permission?
Uncivilization I was thinking the same
Uncivilization, probably cause nash gave them nets, weigh slings, and cradles to keep at the lake!
Uncivilization oh and says in rules fish may be used for publicity purposes, well this is publicity but mainly for nash!
rule13 get a life
Where is redmire
Bob Marley123 Herefordshire
Alan without airmax's... odd =) but the rest is great as always!
the commons at 12:45 and 15:45 same fish? wtf lol
no life jacket nawty nawty, great vid though really shows the beauty of redmire
Karl Burton who cares if they never had life jackets on
Did he go through phone wars
then?
this is 2016 and the MISTIQUE of Redmire had long since gone. cliche after cleche. After Passion they should have closed it to the public. I couldnt have been the only one cringing. Nothing wrong with the beautiful fish of course just the place has become like DISNEYLAND.
Exactly my thoughts. Just lost the mystery that , to me , fishing is about. Reminds me of every other carp puddle
isant this the same as the one before
Maybe would have been a good idea to ne wearing a life jacket whilst out in the boat ..a lot of youngsters look up to you guys and you should be leading by example ..apart from that great vid
What no lifejacket what you thinking.
Go on say it ....bosh, munga, Nash bait.....turned off....by the way I've done few weeks on there.
I like this, but I hate the music: it sounds like someone's being pleasured with a line controller.
Such a shame that Carp fishing has become what it is now.
Just pop into the local angling shop, buy some tackle and baits that you know nothing about, sit there for a week or two
and away you go.
Allowing these clowns to fish at Redmire? Oh I give up!
Shame you got to be a fishing celeb to fish these sort of places, nothing a everyday person can ever invision doing...gutting really, top video though
Timmy Martin, last i heard if u got the cash u can book on! though it might have changed since they trying to sell the pond!
sold your soul to Nash bro !!!! shame
Alan ... more you kiss women or fish? :)
Maybe the kids that might watch it who then think its ok to go out in a boat with no life jacket
Karl Burton yawn
is this Scope Sawn-off ? 2lb ? 3lb ?
