Carp Fishing - Keep Catching In The Cold!

  • Carp fishing can get harder in the cold weather of Autumn and Winter, but you can still catch carp if you are willing to put in the time and slightly adjust your approach. In this video, Carl from Carl and Alex Fishing explains how he keeps catching carp in the cold and banks a few beautiful carp from a local pond.

Hallo from good old Germany...i go fishing for carp and other species since 1990...and i am very impressed of your vids(Carl and Alex) !!! Not only it remembers me of my own "young days"(which you call "the old days"😊😊), there are a lot of things in these vids which inspire me to try (or to practise again) in my own style of fishing. Also very nice to see how effective you fish with the short scope rods under different conditions.Which model do you use? The 10ft 3lbs? Greets Micha

Curious as to what your water temperatures average in England during the winter and what is the coldest water you have caught them in? I live in Southwest Ohio in the United States, I didn't realize until recently that England doesn't get as cold as the northern United States does. Here it seems all carp activity stops below about 38° f (3.33 c). Once the water warms to about 40-42 f ( 4.5-5.5 c) they start getting active again. I've seen a couple videos from here in the states or guys are catching them through the ice but I'm certain they are catching them over warm water springs because the carp are really dark.
