- Alan Blair's solo French fishing holiday in the search for big carp! 🐋
Sadly, a planned trip to France with his family for a carp fishing holiday fell through due to passport complications, but Alan still decided to head over by himself as he knew how rewarding the angling on the trip had the potential to be. This choice proved to be a very wise decision, as not only was the fishing beyond prolific in terms of both the number and size of the carp caught, it also resulted in the capture of a true fish of a lifetime! 🎣

I notice you don’t use the Indulgence high back chair , wise decision , they break if you use them to much ..bought mine in Oct ,2019 , hardly used it in 2020 because of lockdown , less than once a week in 2021 , jan 22 …out of warranty , model discontinued , no spares …got to buy a new chair ..it won’t be a Nash that’s for sure ..

And with that Alan's family waited until he driving donw the road and then jumped in a taxi to catch the flight she had booked months before for some serious pampering in Dubai for a couple of weeks. Mrs Blair chuckled to herself about the 'expired' passport trick all the way there. Her return flight arrived the day before Alan got back. Alan was none the wiser.

By far your best video to date. You could see the passion and the love you have for just being by water let alone carp fishing the small part with the kids wishing they was there with you... and of course the carp themselves. You are in your own league mate when it comes to sharing your adventures

Limoge is a lovely place, didnt go fishing but the city and people are great and the big river that runs through looks fantastic for a few fish.

Started too hate the way companies just say there products instead the name of the material for example when explaining a ring why not say coated braid with blob of putty and a size 6 hook kids getting into fishing only know the names like n trap ect not even knowing it’s coated braid I know the point I’m trying too make just frustrating

I visit this area of France normally twice a year. It's a BASE jumpers paradise - however next time I go I think I'll be leaving the parachutes behind and filling the car full of my carping gear...what do you reckon?
Far play to this guy, I love carp, I love catchy carp, but all the time? I had a week like this in France, littered with 40,s and a pb 54.
I was done with carp for months, carped out. Don’t think I could devote a life to one fish, just carp, hate to say it, but seems so boring.
