- He’s Back‼️ After getting Starter Locs a month ago this Loc Angel came back for his first wash and retwist🤩 Here are some tips for those at the same stage:
✨ A wash and Rewtist every 4-5 weeks is highly recommended
✨ Do not wash your own hair or go swimming before your locs have budded as this may cause your starter locs to unravel
✨Wrapping your hair at night is highly recommended as your locs are very fragile at this stage
✨Document every stage and remember that every stage of the locking process is beautiful
Okay Loc Angels, we would know love to hear from you guys! How long have you been locked?

Seeing this just makes me sad. It’s like TH-cam fucking with me. “Yeah I know your hairline gone nigga but look at this right here.”
😂😆😂
😂😂😂
I’m weak😂
Trust me I feel you😂 the good thing is if you can grow your hair long enough you can lock or twist the hair and let it fall over your corners (if it’s just your corners that are receding)
@@jordanmiles8615 good advice
I see some ppl on here don’t know what they’re talking about. Your first year or so you get a re-twist every 4-6 weeks. His hair looks great and he’s doing a good job. The loctician is great as well
they definitely shouldn’t have washed it that early tho
Do you have locs? Everyone’s scalp is not the same. Some ppl have conditions and when you first get your locs you wash them at least once a month for at least the first year.
no u don’t
@@prepsuave417 these dirty folks really think ya hair being dirty makes it grow lmao
@@tyronbethel7055 bro what kind of comment is this ofc u wash it y’all folks be dirty
He looks really handsome with his locs.
I freeformed the entire first year then got a retwist back in March and I was shocked how long my hair actually was. Freedom it looked like spikes but retwisted my hair was covering my ears I was shocked. My was basically locks and buds so when she twisted it. It was locs and the retwisted part was so long. My hair is so use to just being it never unraveled the retwisted part never came down its so cool to see.
I did the same shit. I got twisted went freeform for bout 7 months shit was nappy af 🤣🤣🤣 she had to cut my locs back into the original parts then used the crotchet hook and I went another 4-5 months before another appointment then I combined them and my baby mama been retwisting them since I combined em. Forgot how long I’ve had them now probably almost four years
I did this too when she free parted you did your roots seem thin
When I had locs, this is what I did. Someone put them in my head, but she just free parted it. I had to maintain in my own as a 9 yr old so I washed my hair with aloe leaf every week and didn't retwist it for a while. It was locked within 2 months 🤣🤣
How do you get Freeform’s?
@@JoshMcLean_ started from a bald head and just let it grow about a month or so in I got a sponge and used that for 4 months and just let it be. If you leave your hair alone it will lock up. Also I wash my hair every two weeks every week in the summer. Using loc shampoo with aloe Vera and cactus oil. Understand dirty hair will not grow or loc. And leave it alone don't even twist it. I don't hit two years growing my hair until March.
I don’t really follow specific instructions I listen to my hair and shampoo oil mist condition and wrap it as needed my locs are beautiful. She did a good job, they look healthy so I really wouldn’t knock her. Every experience is different ✌🏾💕
I’m officially at 4months no retwist but definitely ready for it
Do interlocking
Don’t interlock that will make your locs weak down the line
@@xHaYziNx I definitely didn’t brudda never will loop my new growth
@@rellytootimess3084 you know what it is✊🏽
I just restarted my locs and most of my locs have already started budding and I just got my first retwist a few days ago… this is my 4th set of locs. I can never stay away for to long ❤
This guy looks so wholesome
I can’t wait to start my locks journey again next week! Second time around. Let’s go!
My first set were perfect and we’re getting long, until I started bleaching them.
That bleach addiction, killed my hair. Had to make the best decision and did the big chop, I so cried.
Had my hair natural, cut it, and grew it out twice. I’ve even learned to braid, and style it however I want. 😁
Starting again though, will give me that daily style release…and a more natural version of braids. I can’t wait!
His locs will come out lovely, sis did a great job!
questions and conversations like this from a loctician should be mandatory bc it could help ppl who don’t understand how to take care of locs
Truth, exactly what the dentist does too
I didn't retwist my for the first 3 months. I wore it in two big braids (almost like French braids). I would wash with water every few days and a natural shampoo once a week. The only time I took my hair out, was to wash with shampoo, let it air dry, add sulure 8, and braid it back. It was more about keeping them separated than really retwisting. Now, I wear my hair out more often but the two braids definitely helped in the beginning!!
Clear and transparent. Just overall good vibes 🙌🏾🙏🏾👍🏾
I remember I remember lol boy you got along way to go 😂 I’m 17 yrs long but I do remember this stage doe, all I kept saying is I can’t wait until they get long
He’s very handsome and has beautiful hair
Very handsome? That's definitely a stretch, but I'll agree his hair is beautiful.
@@anice1987Oh my 😭
@@anice1987you dont look any better lil bro💀
@@Vari- ummm lil bro? I am definitely a woman...and it is just my opinion as you are entitled to yours, although it I've been told all my life by all types of people, young, old, men, women, & from all different backgrounds that I am absolutely gorgeous so maybe I am just not your type & that's ok too. I can't speak much of your looks, but that thumb is awfully funny looking of yours 🤣🤦🏼♀️
@@anice1987 maybe that man has been called very handsome by many people. And you shouldnt go against someone elses opinion. Maybe next time it should be a “in my opinion i dont think hes very handsome.” And its an opinion of that people think you’re “gorgeous “ which isnt very true but okay. Don’t worry its JUST AN OPINION💀 also ive been told my hands are beautiful and women like em. So calm down LIL BRO
her voice is so calming 💜
God loves you all
Amen hallelujah lord bless everyone today ❤✝️😇🙏🏾
I learned from my younger sister how to twist my husband starter locs( she was/is a beautician) I was able to maintain and grow his mid back until we did a big chop together. Then re grew it to shoulder length until he chopped again and I just flat out Mohawked mine.now we both on the loc journey together, me jaw length..him neck
Give that boy 2 years he a loc beast
If I'm Determine was a person he has it blessings to him on his journey 🎉🤜🏿🤛🏿
Looks great. You did really good ❤
You did good very knowledgeable, caring, and a great listener ❤
dreads look clean
It still looked great before the retwist. Beautiful head of hair. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
His hair looks great!
Dude you about to spend so much money … you’ve no idea
His shit gone fall out he keep retwist in every 4 weeks
He should only do this until hair has budded, we have posted many guides stating this😊
Lol
@@niathelocgod hey where are you located?
You clearly know nothing about hair or locs. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He has to start the locking
Bro got the perfect hair pattern 😮
He's so handsome 😍
Please don’t let them clog your locks with product. It won’t come out. Oil and water
Can i retwist my hair with out product i cannot keep doing this build up its breakin my scalp out i literally have to wash my locs after 2 weeks of the retwist cause of the build up. Once i wash out the product my scalp clears bac up. But im loced but i can never keep a retwist the full 4-6 weeks cause i wash out the product help me
@@456lem123 don’t obsess over the neatness. That’s everyone’s problem. Let your roots be loose and natural but keep them separated. Retwisting too much can break the hair at the roots.
I twist every 3-4 months. So 3-4 times a year.
My hair is thick , healthy and I don’t use cream, butter, gel, nothing sticky.
Yes you can retwist without product. Just use water and let them dry in place.
@@KAYTEEZIE thank you for the help 🤎
@@456lem123 do you have a oily scalp? Naturally?
Do people actually use oil and water😂
I wish I had help with my locs, my parts are just ugh…but I do kinda like em. They did great with his hair.
Don't focus so much on parts. As long as you see growth and no thinning, you wining.
Go to a hairstylist
I get my dreads done. Luckily a family friend (now apart of the family) is a hairstylist and the best one I’ve found at that. Obv we all black I’m sure u guessed.
Either research or ask about some good black (preferably, or other race who do black hair if they’re good and actually completed schooling and have experience) stylists or locticians in your area. Social media is a great place to find some places to go and people to talk to.
If you can’t find one in your area, and can’t make your way to one that you do find, Learn to retwist them yourself. I can provide products to use and tips, and you should be able to learn pretty well from TH-cam videos how to part and retwist.
@@bbeezzyy thank you
@@choppsticc yes let me know what products because currently I just use water
Looks sooooo good 👍🏽
Thank you 😇 Do you have locs?
Do you have locs
I can’t wait to start mines again
Oiling my hair that often didn’t work for me too much build up and was unnecessary for my scalp. I’m 1.5 years in my journey and the first few months was definitely a trial period of what works for my scalp and lifestyle before I developed an actual routine
how often do u oil your scalp ?
@@YoRemorse I don’t oil my scalp at all anymore for maybe close to a year now. Just rely on my natural sebum. The closest thing is when I wash my hair with a little Jamaican black castor oil and essential oils mixed with shampoo I make. I mist my hair with the free the roots aloe spray (maybe 1x a week) but only as needed if my hair feels dry. Or I’ll do an actual aloe wash with the fresh leaf when my scalp needs more attention. I use fresh aloe in my hair about 2-3x a month. Oils aren’t completely necessary you have to find what works best for you and scalp health.
I used to wait every 5-6 months for retwist but now I do it every month and a half 💯 can't wait til my next retwist next week
Bro went from going too long without a retwist to getting a retwist too soon😭
NICE CHANGE OF LOOK IT'S PERFECT 💯❗HE LOOK VERY PLEASE THE LOC STYLE MAKE HIM LOOK MUCH YOUNGER 💯
He's handsome ❤

I’m following your particular location process for sure because it’s so similar to mine.
Looks great
Looks very nice
Awwww he seem so sweet
I cut my hair off about 2 years ago but twist are only to the top of my nose, but other people be growing full dreads in a year and I never really have any hair breakage, I have 4c hair
Take your vitamins… Natural way of doing this is fruits and veggies THE BEST🥰🥰🥰
Good job ❤
I been looking for this
4 months in, no retwist yet, my hair starting doin great once I felt comfortable enough to wash it..
Very nice!
Nice!!!!!!
I just got my first re twist last week I can’t too my boy.
Interlocking>>>
I started budding after 12 days. I dunno if it’s normal but I was hella worried. I’m two weeks locs and I’m budding almost every where. I have a 4a/b hair texture and I have about 40 locs.
Mine started budding the 3rd week
His hairline!!!!!!!
Great stylist
I’m restarting mine . I cut my hair and I want 3 strand twist starter locs . I got to the gym and I’m going to have to wash my hair often so twist are my best option

Oh my my my
I miss my 1st retest
Do a video of how they look now
What a cutie ❤
I wanna see an update of this guys head
Thia video gave me hope 😊I was seriously wondering if my hair was supposed to look like this. Most of my starter locs came undone by week 2 with just misting them. Check out my journey please feel free to leave some advice
Give us an update on them locs.
When can you wash your hair I’ve had my locs in for two months now.
What kind of gel did she use for the base ?
I use jojoba oil and dread growth conditioner
💯
How do I keep my locks healthy
I’m looking to start with starter locs. And I’m interested in ur place. Maybe u maybe link ur web cite?
What did you put on his hair?
T r a c t i o n a l o p e c i a
Most with water?
Weetwhist
He said he was misting - does that mean with water? I am new to my locs and was told not to wet them whatsoever. Is this okay to do? I have type 3b hair
OHHH NAH DON'T PUT WATER IN YO HAIR CUHH YO SHII GON UNTWIST HELLA FAST
Please dnt get in the habit of retwisting once a month,I see for now but after budding u only need your hair retwisted 3 maybe 4 times a year.
People don’t understand that, they wanna be “pretty” and manicured, not even understanding the whole concept and science behind locs are supposed to be nappy.
3 to 4 times a year??
@@nicki4817 absolutely anything more than that will cause thinning and we definitely dnt want that💯
Thanks for the info. My 18 yr old wants to start hood journey. And I don’t even want to think about another head to deal with. Thick locs with thin roots look so crazy and unhealthy
@@tigeabenton2174 oh ok and another tip for the journey is only use two things on your hair, mist the hair with water daily and oil your scalp, dnt use products that will cause buildup, and always cover your locs when your laying down💯💯💯
My first retwist is in 4 days. So excited
how'd it go
@@tvvknn bro it was absolutely crazy: the amount of growth I had was absolutely insane. You don’t see much of it because of shrinkage but it’s still good growth. Also if your hair looks a mess, do not worry. My hair looked trash and after the retwist it was dope. I have my next retwist this upcoming Friday. My hair is starting to lock up now so I’m getting there.

Is mist just water?
I think water n some type of hair oil
Are those comb oils or twists
what kind of locs are these
Bro made his ugly stage easy like he just breezed through that😭
What is he misting with and what kind of oil is he using?
Misting is just water in a spray bottle, oil i think u can use olive oil

Where are this located at
If I got locs; this is where I would go to get my hair done! 🫡👌🏾

? First I would to say I love your work. How many locs should a person have
as many as they want as long as its not ike 500
So I’ve had my starter locks for about 2 months and I just did twist outs and they became much smaller, did I ruin my starter locs????
I get a retwist every 2 weeks
4 weeks too long I do every 2 weeks in beginning and my shiz are to my shoulders in only 2years!!
