It’s totally possible to get locs in any texture of hair. My curls are a mixture, mostly 3A, and I had a loc under my ear for a while (it was a solidarity thing for an acquaintance) and though it did take longer to loc up, it was possible.

Yall, don't do this. This is not detoxing the hair. Also, baking soda is ABRASIVE and is meant to be that way as it is meant to CLEAN hard surfaces and deodorize. All of baking soda is NOT meant fully dissolve. Vinegar and baking soda together literally creates a type of "water". This is not detoxing the hair. If you have a lot of buildup in your locs, you may need to break down and use dawn soap.....YES I SAID DAWN. Dawn will STRIP all of that gook OFF and then you can follow up with a moisturizing shampoo AND conditioner. I am a cosmetologist from the early 2000s, so I didn't just break out the plastic yesterday. I'm just trying to help out.
