My sisters fiancé has a truck like yours with the 7.3 Diesel. He uses it to tow his horses. He just had a new engine put in, as his old one had 900K miles.
You are so talented! I am 71 and handicapped, nothing inspires me anymore! But watching your videos has been so enjoyable for me and makes me think about my life! I've done alot and made the best with what I've had! Had a few adventures of my own. Your videos keep me going with a smile on my face! It's good to know there are people out there like you! Hope you have a prosperous and happy 2024! Best vibes always!
i stopped not being just stupendously impressed when you showed your toilet. I bet zero chicks want to go in there but that's just a deeper homage to how great this rolling man cave really is.
Heated extention cord draws 7 watts per foot to run next to fuel lines, filter exc... that gets power when you plug in the block heater. Insulate the cord and lines like you would a water pipe. Direct the exhaust from the generator safely under the truck will heat the tank.
I enjoy following you! I'm a 65 yo woman, adventures and used to live in AK in 1976-1980... want to go back!!! I feel like when I'm watching you, I'm on the trip!! Thank you!!
If you are redoing the front door of the cabin anyway, why not a split door to make sure if enough snow piles up, you aren't trapped inside? Just open the top door and clear out any snow then you are able to open the door fully. This would also be super nice in the summer.
I really appreciate the honesty of your videos. A nomadic lifestyle comes at some personal costs. Not to say it isn't worth it as it can be very rewarding but I really get tired of these channels that portray it as a always blissful wonderful experience. Waking up with the back doors of a camper van open on a beach looking at the ocean while completely ignoring the "costs" of that lifestyle. I think you're doing it right, showing the wonders of the experience while not misrepresenting the unique challenges and hurdles to get that experience.
Very well thought out rig. I'm surprised you could cold start her in those conditions. I owned a 7.3 f350 for 20 years and I had to plug it in if below freezing most times.
One of my favorite Channels, really love the adventures. The winter camping and snowstorms are the absolute best. Cozy fire going, baking those cookies watching a movie! Such a calming vibe. It’s like a daily reset for the body and soul! Always look forward to the next one! Happy for your success with it. Doing something you love!
These are my favorites as well the camping the snow storms the hunkering down cooking some delicious recipes and then those hot cookies and that fire place❤😊
Honestly, I follow a lot of offroad/vanlife/camping channels and at first I remember thinking "who's this dude with his cheesey home-built camper" but Ive changed my mind. Very functional, well thought out, and a cool truck. Its a lot of weight but if the rig can handle it then sweet! You only have so many options for a 4x4 camper and in Socal, it's Sprinter Nation. They are terrible off-road potential. You're a chill dude and have proven to handle situations. I think next up would be a tour of the cabin!
I don't think there is a way a Rig can be cooler than with an Actual legit bright yellow Alaska license plate. I had a RC 4x4 truck as a 12 year old kid in the early 90s that had a Alaska tag.im 43 now and I'll never forget it and your Truck reminds me.of it. 😂
After watching the video you made with your dad, I realized where you gained so much of your creativity and knowledge! You're a modern-day Renaissance Man. 😊

Its thanks to you that I'm trying to find a truck like this or similar. I did find one that was a 94 model, but with it being $24k, its pretty over priced for a 30 year old truck.
Timmy, thank you for all your videos. I have been binge-watching them all recently! I love to see the Alaskan landscape and enjoy the road trip videos. You have a great camper truck and I appreciated this video of how it's put together. I have a streak running through me of "building things". The sort of work you did with your camper is way beyond me now, being an old lady (though I still do build stuff around my home and land... gates, fences, bridges etc, and love every minute of it. ) Anyway I was fascinated to see how your truck camper was built and thank you. Wishing you happy days!
The truck house is def a cool build and a couple game changers...the woodstove - cheap heating and can cook on and the stove/oven ...no campstoves to haul out every meal or jet boils or whatever ppl use which means less fuel canisters to buy and store and you have an oven!! A lot less equipment needed overall and you are still able to have most of the creature comforts! It's a truck HOME not just a house.
Hi Tim. We live in South Texas. We love watching your videos of Alaska. They are amazing and we really enjoy the beauty . We are campers also. Please be safe and keep the videos coming.
It hit my feeds in TH-cam but subscribed and agree the content is very interesting and I really like Alaska, a source of many great memories, from trips I did with my Dad. It’s just a great state full of really great people.
Great job Tim. Too old now to do this but hey it looks like fun. Enjoying your videos, hope the YT gives you a bit of income to continue the fun. Oh just something to consider, the 7.3 has coolant issues in the past. Micro bubble eating into the cylinder liners. Proper coolant flushes and you're golden. Nal-cool I think they call it. Rock on and thanks for the entertainment. I work overseas and watching these from Kuwait, would enjoy some of the experiences you're having fun with. Cheers and keep the videos rolling. Good times. Oh you Webasto heater is what pulled me to your channel. Don't really care for the cheap knock off's. Webasto is more expensive but solid. Better idea than propane.
This has been my favorite channel Ive found during 2023. As someone born in the 90s facing an impossible housing market (If I want to live near my career and family). You got me thinking there's always another way. Cheers to a good 2024
The best youtube channels are people who are passionate about what they do. It shows in their videos and is infectious. Your demeanor is inviting, and your editing top notch. Your channel is one of the best I found. Thank you for sharing your life and beautiful state with us! I really can't get enough of your adventures.
Awesome Timmy 🇺🇸😻 I’ve been following since you first stopped in LasVegas with your Rig stayed across from stratosphere (bob Stupak’s Vegas World) my first job in 1988. Keep up the Rad Inspirational, inspiring Videos.
Hello from Canada, southern Ontario. I really enjoy your content Iam a middle age male empty nester now. vanlife was something i wanted to do when i was around 16 and the time has finally come. just at the design stage right now, I am in no rush, and want to do this right, the best way I can. I have got some great advice, tips and do's and don'ts from you and thanks for it. Just Keep being you, my friend.
New to your channel. Been binge watching your older videos. Your truck was what drew me to the channel. I drive a 1997 OBS and love it. I use it to tow my 30' 5th wheel. Being 72, I have slowed down a bit as far as camping goes. Watching your videos gets me excited to get back out into the mountains of my beloved Utah.
I love your truck camper. Very well thought out in design and reliability. It works well for you and your needs. I think it would work out well for almost anyone. It is so beautiful where you built your cabin and all your adventures you go on. A person couldn't ask for more.
Your rig is absolutely awesome, mate! I'm English, and we hardly ever use the word "rig" and NEVER use "awesome" so that just shows how good I think it is!!!
Timmy, Your Camper and Truck build is really awesome and very Eclectic.I really appreciate the time that you took to share your build with us. Definitely has a very homey feel and look to it. One of the best Truck House Homes that I have ever seen. Your design and construction qualities are definitely top-notch. One of the things that I was very impressed with was your Kimberly Wood Stove. I like the fact that you are able to cook on top of it and having a vent out the back. As well as it taking up minimal amount of space and burn a very small amount of wood to keep your house warm. It is definitely my first choice of wood stoves for an RV. The price is well worth the comfort in my opinion. The Battle Born Batteries are also a great choice as well. I have a bank of ten of them in my RV for the past 5 years now and they are as strong as the day I first put then in. Your set up looks great. Thanks for sharing You Journeys with us and keep that Truck House Rollin!🙏🏻👍
Timmy I have one suggestion for your campers door problem. If it was me, rather than shaving the door an inch to put a rubber threshold in. You might try taking a 1x1 and cutting a quarter inch high step into that, then shave the bottom of your door 3 quarters of an inch on the outside and full inch on the inside. That way you can put a rubber gasket in between to seal up any air gaps, as well as prevent water and ice from getting in. It would look like you had two double L shapes, to form a self sealing door kind of like how travel trailer doors are made.
@genderSkins,I have a suggestion.Instead of living your life through Timmy, get your own.Don't worry about how he fixes things, go back to playing with yourself.
Tim , your setup is so cool .after watching so many of your videos, you've inspired me to build my own cabin. If mine turns half as good as yours, I'll be happy
I LOVE all your Videos Tim. You do a Fantastic job on everything you do and describe it so well. I Love to see Alaska at its finest and that is what you do my Friend. I try to watch your Videos when I can. I'm fairly new to the channel but it grows on me every time I watch it. I'm almost 75 years old so my days of getting out and enjoying life is slowly coming to an end, so Enjoy it while you can. I just had my second back surgery on Dec. 19th so I'm in the process of recuperating slowly. One day I would Love to visit your fine state if my time lets me. Until then I have to be content and Let you do it for me. Thanks so much for your tour of the Truck and House. Take care and enjoy life. God bless and Godspeed, From Owensboro, Kentucky...😃
Thanks so much Timmy for the tour of the truck house camper!! I have never been to Alaska but you have been kind enough to share your experiences with us. I always thought it would be so cool to be up there and see your truck on the road or just parked to get gas. To me it’s the most famous truck up there. Certainly look forward to the next trips and I have also really enjoyed your videos of your new addition at the cabin. You have worked so hard getting the outside done before winter really came. Take care and thank you for all. Here’s to 2024!!!!!
I've done my time in cold climates when I was stationed at F.E. Warren AFB in Cheyenne, WY. I do NOT miss the cold; but, I do enjoy watching this guy's content, especially when he's working on his house. That's a nice house!
In the anchorage area it is amazing. Not a fan of downtown anchorage but a little further north is awesome. The winters are really long but mild. We don't have a wind chill normally so if it's 17 it feels like 17.
First time comment from me. First off, I really dig your content. Real and honest, the way it should be. 2nd, how's your stenosis these days, I have severe stenosis in the neck also from a broken back as well. I'm impressed you are able to keep on going. But like they say...." motion is lotion"
im a new viewer as of a week ago and its the best subscription ive ever clicked 27:28 i got into your wintertime truck house content i have always lived in the south in alabama so its so cool to get to imagine doing that being a diesel mechanic by trade too i love watching that ole 7.3l kick some butt
You are an inspiration, Timmy! On so many levels! You and your rig are awesome. I love your adventures! Just two questions, in case you want to answer them in a future video : 1. I'd love to hear more about your thinking and analysis about the weight of all that beautiful wood. How did you mitigate weight issues etc. 2. Please talk more about your on-board power, specifically how everything is wired, what components you used etc. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us! ❤
I just have to say that I enjoy all your adventures from camping in your truck house to rafting in your kayak. It's not just that but you show most of us that do not really have the time to go see these beautiful places. You keep it humble and you're attitude is just humble with that makes your content so easy and enjoyable to watch. Plus you love that old ford and to me us ford guys are a rare breed. You're the man Tim, And we also share the same name so there's def greatness.
Awesome Tim! Most people just show on TH-cam their edited content, you took us behind the scenes and actually explained stuff that we all have questions to. I'm a lifelong subscriber, God bless.
I moved onto a traditional Class C RV almost 2 years ago. I love it so far. My trajectory seems similar to yours - I will be looking for property to live on, either in a house or on my RV. I've really enjoyed discovering your channel and watching your videos! I would love to drive this thing to Alaska and stay for a while someday.
Timmy i love your camper and your travels .I would love to see u in Norway with your truck pretty sure they have never seen a truck like that around Europe lol.Safe travels.
You have done an awesome job building the truck house. I would live in it. Can't wait to see what the inside to your other cabin looks like. Thanks for all the adventures. Love your adventures.
Timmy thanks for making this video it's answered quite a few questions I had about your setup for both your cabin and truck thanks again for letting us ride along with you on all your epic adventures. Keep up the great work.
That 7.3 engine won’t die. The body will fall off around it before it dies. Worst thing Ford ever done was get rid of the 7.3.
Timmy, in my opinion your camper is so much cooler and functional than a factory made one! Be safe and have fun!
Awww shucks;)
@@TruckHouseLifeat this point you deserve a Ford sponsorship. I mean look at everything you have put Blouis through. She's a beast ❤❤❤
Yes, it does rock the cool factor well! 👍🏽♥️
I definitely agree with you.
Anything custom made beats the Chinese fiberboard crap they are pushing out now.
others have said it ... many really *feel* it ... Tim and his truck are an inspiration!
Thanks haha:)
@@TruckHouseLife it's only getting down to -17 this week where I'm at 🙂... I'm not ready for -40 yet!

This channel is truly cathartic and I'm so glad I found it last night, watching everything
Timmy, If I was 30 years younger, I’d build me a truck house. Now I just enjoy yours
The way you talk about your Dad conveys so much love in your relationship with him
He created those stairs. Man attic stairs from the 70's and 80's are going to be so mad when they hear this!
Appreciate the fun clean content, just found this channel and I watch it with my son.

I love the old school truck ❤, they dont make them like they used to.

Add synthetic power steering fluid. It doesn’t get thick like regular fluid. Replace all fluids with synthetic.
Coolest custom camper rig I’ve ever seen.

Nice work Tim, you’re killing it. 400k subscribers!!!!
Great videos as always. Congratulations on the BIG 400K subs coming up.
Joe, your welder friend is worth his weight in Gold.
Timmy. I'm glad you take us along.
Awesome Tim! Most people just show on TH-cam their edited content, you took us behind the scenes and actually explained stuff that we all have questions to. I'm a lifelong subscriber, God bless.
You truly have the most epic camper. and the matching trailer is just the cherry on top.

Thanks! Maybe cya out there some day!
