    Its a definite no no to jack up on edge of sill will be a lot better if you find a more solid substance underneath because as cars get older sills weaken and cant take the weight so your gonna need new sills as the jack will punch through ,trust me im a welder done hundreds ,just thought id mention it hope you dont mind.

    Does this vehicle have front parking sensors? I live in turkey and have the same car, ghia equipment is the fullest, but there are no small spots on the front bumper, what are they

    i have the 110 dpf model of this engine, one thing i noticed about it, new oil goes in golden brown, shows black on dipstick, must be a diesel thing

    • @HaynesManuals
      @HaynesManuals  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it's a diesel thing. It only takes a few miles for that new golden oil to turn black...

      The 1.6 Tdci/HDI engines have a idiotic oil sump!
      The 275ml of old oil is cant get out because of idiotic desing of oil sump.
      There is some aftermaket oil sump like "Bolk" or "Ridex" with smarter desing

      @@elzrinja365 If not more... there is also the quantity 400ml. Today I bought the modified oil sump with article number BGASP1420 from BGA, it has a huge and stable drain screw and the internal protrusion is no more than 2-3mm. A copper/aluminum seal with an inner diameter of 22 mm is used for it, the opening is big enough to see inside. I'm happy with it, but haven't tested it live yet.

      @@elzrinja365 Its quality is adequate, I am satisfied with it. I drove 250 km and there is no problem with the silicone seal either, no leaks. The ribs on the surface to be sealed have a similar design to other aftermarket ones, the gap is approximately 0.5 mm. (The factory one seemed to have a flat surface.) You have to try to spread the silicone properly, but it can be done. I put it on the engine and not on the oil pan, since the wall of the engine is narrower than the rim of the pan, it is easier to follow the center line. I don't understand why there isn't a set of factory seals for it, or at least there could be one for the oil pump...
      The oil can be easily drained from it, and the opening is large enough to be able to see through and check the internal extrusion of the silicone after gluing. If it didn't turn out well, you have to take it off and try again until the silicone has completely hardened.
      Now I need to buy a handful of spare copper gaskets again because this requires a custom size.
