The amazing thing is they keep reinventing themselves piece by piece. I don't remember album since Getting Away with Murder, that would've been accepted by everyone - there always is some pushback. But then when you look at all the albums in retrospective, you see how much Papa Roach is moving forward, often quicker or in another direction than other similar bands. They keep trying new things and embrace the fact, that they could go on remaking Infest and GAWM again and again for fan service, but it's not what would make them happy. And whenever someone is unsure about the new stuff, they only need to go to see them live. I swear, in my lifetime I've seen hundreds of bands playing live, but the energy that especially Jacoby emits is out of this world and can be rivaled only by other select few legends. PRoach is one of those bands that you don't actively have to listen to enjoy them live.
Best live band… they always steal the show from the headliners.. I felt sorry for Shinedown a few years back, and they did the same with breaking Benjamin last Wednesday. Memphis may fire was good though!
