Matt its doesn't really mater what the video is about. I just love watching you talk about detailing. you have so much passion & no matter how long I have been keeping cars clean (Im only an enthusiast) I always learn something. Great video👍
Growing up in Florida, there was a bridge off 528 that literally certain times of the year it would completely cover the entire front of your car with love bugs! Nasty little things
I agree with the prep. But, on my GTO and some rougher cars I’ve had great success with using a mild APC or citrus degreaser and power washing 95% of the bugs off.
You can remove love bugs and bird bombs with McKee's 37 Road Kill Bug Scrubber. Soak in soap bucket a few minutes before using and scrub away without scratching the paint. Of course it only works before the paint is etched. Rinse good first, scrub second as little as necessary. Cut the scrubber into smaller pieces.
I live in central Floriduh as well (between Orlando and Daytona) and my plan of attack on love bug guts is to wash them off quickly within a day or two, preferably the same day. Love bugs do begin damaging the condition of your paint rather instantly. And last month you found me cleaning my car two/three times a week. I hate them love bugs. But I will also recommend that instead of using a drying aid as you did at the end, is to use soapy water with your bug sponge and spot scrub them off with a high lube soap, rinse, inspect, repeat and pray that no etching has occurred. I already have two small spots that have surface etching already. It sucks. But I would recommend washing them off daily vs weekly. I had a toyota and the front was pretty much 50% damaged from not washing them off in due time.
This setting almost reminds me of that night you were doing a wash when it was raining. I just loved that video as it was such a cool environment. Can’t remember which car or video it was
Great video Matt, but it's more like a "how to do a proper maintenance wash video", I mainly picked up that you are addressing the bugs with your drying aid, either way it's very informative. The M3 is looking great by the way!
This past spring love bugs were in big numbers. Drove a round trip to Thomasville Ga from Tallahassee and it was BAD. Had several points where it would be heavy for a full mile. Had a 2 gallon wiper fluid tank. And refilled it 3 more times. It was so bad there was love bugs and anything facing front got close to a 1/4 inch thick
I just bought the same blower a few weeks ago Matt! The issue I always have is the rust on my F10 M5 rotors. I just bought a spray to apply to the rotors after rinsing I will see if that helps. I always do the wheels first, but was going to try wheels last so I can blow them off as soon as I am done with them.
If you apply Bead Maker as a drying aid each time you wash and dry your car, you are applying a product that is very shiny and slick. Does it help prevent those Love Bugs enzymes from insulting your clear coat? It can't hurt to try. Matt, can you approach the chemists at P&S and ask them research this enzyme interaction with clear coat polymers and perhaps formulate a new product that is resistant to bugs and the dreaded bird droppings? In my ignorance I would apply a dab of wax and let the hydrocarbon solvents in the wax partially dissolve the splattered bug remains away and wipe them off.
Great video! The love bugs seem to finally be gone this time around. Now I don’t have to stress my drive to and from work. I hope you keep Woofs...Wolfs...Wolves glass sealant around just so you have to say it on the videos. 😂
I hate this bugs man, so annoying washing you car, just to drive it and be with tons of bugs minutes after, sucks. Awesome video and very informative Matt, question since you have products from Stoner Car Care, have you tried their Bug Eraser bug remover wipes?, they supposed to be safe for any surface without causing scratches. Great video again 👍👌
How to feel about using ONR in a spray bottle as a daily maintenance to just hit the the daily build up. I clean the area around the bug with he ONR then take the bug off. Seems to be affective and won't scratch the paint if you use common sense like you said. Save me time as I do not have to wash as often. I also have a good build of beadmaker already on the paint. I also find they come off completely and easier the quicker you get at them. Its a 4 week daily ritual. These bugs are the devils creation.
Hey what are you doing now a days for bugs? Would you wash and maybe use some opti clean or just this same process shown here from a year ago? Thank you
A Matt speed video! I won’t lie, it was kind of odd to see it so short....and no life thoughts. Lol. You’re doing a lot more Area per pass of Beadmaker than I am. I usually do like one door at a time, or half the hood. I typically wash during the day, and it’s hot and humid, but I’m in the shade. Same orange towels. Should I be able to do a larger area? (Also blowing dry). Thanks.
Wasn't the ceramic coat supposed to be the etched one so the clearcoat remains intact? If it can't do that, then for 1000EUR (what it costs here) all you're paying is for rain to slide off.
Poorboy's World Bug Squash 3:1 as part of the prewash. Come pre wash rinse time anything left will genuinely come off with your usual contact wash. By far the best product I've ever used for all bugs. Here in Scotland at certain times of the year it's hell for bugs. Poorboys make the best & safest option in my opinion and I've tried a lot. At 3:1 it has never removed any waxes or sealant but it literally dissolves biological gunk within seconds 😎 👍🏻
I drive at midnight every night due to work and I get heavy bugs and just spray chemical guys bug and tar remover soap straight up no mix and pressure wash off with really good results next I plan on trying the 3m bug remover
Off topic, but how do you address overspray of the drying aid onto panels you have already done? I seem to always get overspray and then it dries and leaves spots. I’ve tried being kore careful when applying it but no matter what it seems to blow everywhere. I’ve started to just wipe every adjacent panel to the one I’m focusing on
If I drive through love bugs I will take a couple of old beach towels and soak them wit’s water and just throw them over the front of the truck and windshield and leave it overnight it softens the bugs
I’ve never posted before, but I’ll throw up a vid soon showing if you want, chemicals are trade secret though, I don’t own the rights to say anything exactly what it is
Deja Vu here, love bug removal again? :) Im pretty sure i heard you saying the wax lasts 5 months?? you mean 1 month? Sealants last up to 6 months. a normal carnauba wax wont so neither the Collinite 845 Insulator Wax, in your case 3 months max. depending on the elements and how often you wash the car. How late is it? it looks like its almost midnight :) . in short: protect your car properly with a coating, sealant or wax, remove bugs asap, use as less friction as possible, no agressive stuff :)
My process is as follows. Presoak foam Rinse Spray bug remover over affected areas Ph neutral foam Ph neutral Handwash Rinse This takes 100% off and im not tackling splotches during the drying process.
Removing bugs of any kind is not that complicated. Just rehydrate the bug carcass and the carcass comes right off. What does not come off is the small chip in clear coat. I used to obsess about keeping a car clean, especially after tracking it. Screw it. Now days I leave the rubber marks on my cars. I leave the brake dust on the wheels. Really just look after the mechanics of my cars, since I’m trusting my life and others while in it. Cars are waste of time and money. Just drive, enjoy, maintain, occasionally abuse, maintain, repeat, and when worn out sell it. Don’t save it for the next guy.
@@ObsessedGarage My detailing light would say that you are wrong . I have been removing love bugs this way for about 10 years now . We have 2 seasons of love bugs on the Alabama gulf coast and this 100% doesn't scratch anything if done correctly. Your OCD is getting worse and my method will work if you only give it a chance.
I never tire of this stuff, would like to see more, 10 mins or so is spot on
I can't wait to read the comments of the people who have never seen a MM/OG video. This is going to be good!
just watching this video and that's the first thing i looked for. Love his wash and chat videos.
You can just hear his ocd getting worse an worse as he realizes he can't get all the guts off.
Damn Snowflakes I feel like watching his videos does him no good. We're just rewarding him for his ocd 🤷♂️

Love how he knew non-OG’s would be the main viewers so he made it less OG and more Janky
Original OG intro, I like it!
Feel like you’ve made this video a hundred times, but no hate, people need to learn I guess
I love this format. Perfect for lunchtime viewing.

First time seeing the Pressol bottle and sprayer, wow those triggers are quick!

the trim around the windows looks so rich!
Bro. Watching this. Seeing the night sky in the background. Hearing the crickets in the background. Ahhhhhhhhhh. Washing the car. Therapeutic😍
No love bugs here, but I hate all bugs in general hitting the front of the car and windshield. Thanks for the training!
I love the OG intro, was waiting for you to switch it up!
Great video, it’s so weird watching a video where you don’t just talk what you feel in a natural way
Brandon Yammine ... I agree, I was so used to his slow and deliberate M5 series presentation. But, what an effective presentation on the steps needed.
So Matt you have the Jescar Power Lock + and Colinite 845 on this automobile, it is behaving like a very good coating dude!!!!! I am highly impressed
Wrapping it up 7 minutes til the end 🤣😂😅.
Love the content as always 👍🏽

Man you ain’t kidding it’s rough out here in Ocala ... got wash the 535every highways trip... it’s like factored in right up there with gas
Do you people not read the description of the video? He made this last year, and decided to make it a shorter version of it.
I live near Matt and this season was BAD. I first saw them on September 8th and they're still around.
Great video Matt!
I spray prewash foam (bilt hamber autofoam)on the dirty car and rinse it off with a pressure washer. ~90% of dead bugs are gone
Wow car looks amazing mate really cool looking 👍
Thank you Matt !
OMG they’re horrible right now in Orlando and where we’re moving to in Ponte Vedra!
I was gonna guess a zero degree nozzle and lacquer thinner.
The perfect combo for Dane's couch
Bryce going real fancy releasing bats to be in the video. Damn man.
Great Video - I like the different style.. What is your go-to Glass Sealant now that Wolfs is out of stock?
BW Williams he is currently trying Angelwax h2go out on the F10 M5 but no word yet on if it’s the ONE to replace Wolf’s.
Wasn't the ceramic coat supposed to be the etched one so the clearcoat remains intact? If it can't do that, then for 1000EUR (what it costs here) all you're paying is for rain to slide off.
Idok Watcher it’s not ceramic coated, just a traditional sealant with a wax on top
Is that how much beadmaker you usually use? Seems like a lot.
Remove lovebugs without damaging your paint. Answer: PPF!
I canˋt decide between flamethrower or steelwool
Will the same concept apply to bird droppings as well?
Cant wait until people who don't follow OG to start commenting about expensive buckets, and that you should use wd40, cooking oil, dryer sheets ,etc.
The WD40 kills
Matt's short videos are 18min long. Lol. Love it though. Keep it up, hope things are going well.
It's only this short because he's talking faster than usual. At normal rate it would have been 23 minutes.
So why have the grit guards for take them out if u aren’t going to use them when u put the pad inside the rinse bucket Matty don’t make sense then
Hey Matt, perhaps you covered this in a much earlier video but is the Incredipad more pliable than the rag company's cyclone 10x?
Did I miss it or did Matt discuss a chemical option (Bug Out)?
Ah ha.. a "dumbed down" Matty video for the "regular" people. Good job 👍. Shortest video in Moreman history?
What is your opinion about the meguiars bug spray?
Poorboy's World Bug Squash 3:1 as part of the prewash. Come pre wash rinse time anything left will genuinely come off with your usual contact wash. That will marr the paint.

Spritz the towel, rather than applying directly onto the car.
So glad I don't live in Florida so I don't have to deal with all those bugs
Thanks to the Love Bugs Matt can sell 20% more products 😜
Flamethrower... steel wool... sarcasm much 😎
Holy shit a bat.

bigbadbri08 make sure its not hard water tho or the bugs will be the least of your problems. Hard water spots are much worse
There are some good chemicals for the bug guts, without the access pressure ( no scratching)!!!
Like?

Optimum power clean. Diluted 3:1
Don’t know what that is? but prob same idea
Love the M3 btw Matt !
Let’s see this on a caked up car that isn’t coated or waxed. Because that’s what I deal with 90% of the time. Not coated cars.
Facebook told me to use a dryer sheet

He is on a Zebra Cake sugar rush today?
My process is as follows.
Presoak foam
Rinse
Spray bug remover over affected areas
Ph neutral foam
Ph neutral Handwash
Rinse
This takes 100% off and im not tackling splotches during the drying process.
Car looks amazing. I could say almost as good as mine. Lol 😆
Jp
You need to quit messing around a put gtechniq on that car. Bugs would come right off
Love bugs are the spawn of Satan.
Haha wolfs wulfs try to speak it like this wolufs its in dutch speaking langues great tips good video

bounce fabric sheets and water . No need for an 18 minute video
That’s the exact formula for scratching your paint.
