- Embark on a delightful journey through the heart of Kolkata as we present a captivating compilation of our pandal hopping and street food escapades during this year's Durga Puja, spanning over the last three days. This exploration encapsulates the very essence of this cherished festival.
This extraordinary experience unfolds under the guidance of our knowledgeable and enthusiastic hosts-Pritha, Ashsish, and Navin. Together, we set out on a mesmerizing street food tour and pandal hopping extravaganza, creating lasting memories amidst the festive fervor.
On Ashtami and Nabami, we were accompanied by Pritha, an aspiring academician and a proud resident of North Kolkata. Her profound knowledge and cultural insights enriched our exploration. we began with the irresistible allure of freshly prepared rabri at Babulal Yadav Sweet Shop. The owner's anecdotes about the business's journey added a personal touch to our culinary exploration. Our next stop at Dharmendra Shop, famed for club kachuri. Despite a subtle note of soda, it proved truly irresistible when paired with a no onion garlic potato curry.
Our cultural immersion continued with our visit to Pathuriaghata Rajbari and knowing about it's heritage. The day concluded with a visit to a unique pandal that based on the often hushed topic of menstruation. It was a very commendable marquee that portrayed all details with sensitivity.
On Navami, we explored two popular pujas in Behala, one ingeniously themed around Puchka, a true ode to Bengali's love for street food. The whole experience led us to the newly launched My Foodcka stall followed by a traditional street vendor, evoking timeless flavors.
On Dashami, we joined our new friends Ashish and Navin for a delightful food walk around Bagbazar. Highlights included kochuri tarkari and dhoka from Potlar Fritter Shop and yummy sweets from Bhabatarini. The tour concluded with milk cake and refreshing kesar chai at Sharma Tea. Our heartfelt thanks to Ashish and Navin for weaving this rich canvas of cultural exploration and culinary delight.
Even I, a native of the city, didn't spend the entire puja the way you did in a single day. Very well done. Appreciate greatly.
Oh! Delhi Food Walks in Kolkata during the Puja days !! Thinking over the years !! So this is going to be a dream comes true series ❤️❤️❤️
4 more episodes are lined up !
Very sweet and nice guides, Sir.
The lady in the beginning (Ms. Pritha) as well as the two gentlemen in the second half (Mr. Agrawal and Mr. Karnani)... extremely well knowledged and polite. Very nice hidden gems of the city explored. ❤
Joy Maa 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺....
Kolkata my City ! City of Joy !
Thanks, you are the only vlogger who showed concern about environment after Durga Puja, materials used during this festival
Mihidana and Sitabhog (in pair) are the Geographical Indications of Barddhaman District and Not Kolkata😂😂😂 Near Barddhaman Junction Railway Station, you will Find enormous shops selling Mihidana and Sitabhog. Sitabhog is a white Textured sweet that resembles the rice grains in Pulao, though it is sweet in nature. Anubhab Ji, if you come to Barddhaman Station someday and Inform me, I will take you to the Famous sweet shops in Barddhaman selling Mihidana and Sitabhog throughout the year❤❤❤
I just got posted in burdwan station so i tried these in Netaji mishtanna bhandar. Didn't find mihidana and sitabhog mind-blowing
@@AS-jo8qh try eating from Ganesh Mistanna Bhandar
@@AS-jo8qhdont eat it from station vendors, try it from ganesh mistanna bhander. Although it is not a mind blowing sweet. But A good sweet . But i recommend lassi from ramprasad at carjon gate.
Now sitabhog and mihidana is adulterated even in bardhaman
@@franadevyes, like Rasogolla and Biryani is also adulterated in Kolkata. Everything we eat these days is adulterated
The city is so filled with energy ❤ The smile all over the city seems so special ❤
Undoubtedly that is the reason why the city is called “The City of Joy” 😌
Rasagolla is a Bengali food. Bengal has the GI tag of rasagolla. Anyone can check it on Google.
States in India are so uniquely traditioned. Love it!
Hi brother,
I'm from karachi, agreed every delicious food belongs to our beloved land (Indo pak )
Aapka Bihar jharkhand aur bengal...k jab vlog jab bhi aata hai...uska level hi bahot alag hota hai...maza aa jata hai ...
Anubhav Ji, you got it right! mihi means maheen and dana is tiny balls. mihidana is smaller version of Bengalified bonde (boondia). Mihidana originated in Bardhaman (Burdawan) district, patronized by Bradhamaner Maharaja!
Nice vlog . Mouth watering Kochuri - torkari . Jab - jab hum Kolkata jate hai yaha ki Kochuri - torkari , all types of chops , Dhokar Dalna , Shingara , Beguni , Mishti Doi , Sondesh & other sweets jarur khate hai. 😋😋 Waisa taste hamare city me nahi milta.
I'm waiting for thiss...

There was a special sweet for VIJAYA DASHAMI purpous in villages of bengal called CHAPPA (ছাপা).
It is made of coconut, milk and sugar and give shape of different type by mould.
In my home, they call it Takti.
Nice video. That’s really interesting. Thank you for your sharing. Have a great day my friend
❤thanks for visiting Kolkata in puja days it's simply different from other cities.
Hum bhi Rosogullah puraa nichod ke sirf chhena khaate hain... because I am not sugary.. I don't like the sugary syrup atall.. which is very strong... when I buy Haldiram Rosogullah there are only 4 to 5 small pieces and the rest sugary water... humko toh lagtaa hain.. humne sirf tin kharidaa...😁
Anubhav Ji you are finest Indian Food Vlogger, Infact you are no less than Mark Wiens.

Anubhav, your Bihar food vlog was absolutely incredible! I was so impressed with your knowledge of Bihari cuisine and your ability to capture the essence of the state's food culture. I especially loved your segment on litti chokha, which is one of my favorite dishes.
I'm so glad that you're making a series of food vlogs of all the states of India. It's such a great way to showcase the diversity and richness of Indian cuisine. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Another epitome of video content!!
Khub Bhalo episode ❤ 🇮🇳👌
Nice pandal hopping
While this was an amazing video to watch, I would request Anibhav bhaiya to please visit the other parts of West Bengal as well, such as Siliguri, Jalpaiguri or even districts like Bankura and Birbhoom as well. Kolkata no doubt has an amazing vibe when it comes to festivals, but esteemed vloggers like yourself are requested to please visit the lesser known parts of Bengal. Please understand that West Bengal doesn't mean Kolkata alone. Also, I don't intend to spread any hate against Kolkata; it is an AMAZING city with amazing food and culture. But the lesser part of West Bengal, especially North Bengal region remains ignored for the major part of the "Bengali" scenario.
Ekdam Umdaa... 👌👌👌
Anubhav ji, if you ever feel interested, do try to experience the Durga pujas happening at the old ancestral houses in Kolkata.
The elders in my family has been organizing one such puja at our ancestral house for last couple of decades.
Please consider this comment as an open invitation to you and your team members.
We covered a few of them. Do watch the upcoming videos on Wednesday and Saturday!
Whenever Anubhav sir goes to any state he always tries to connect with the Bihari's out there! It's really impressive sir keep exploring 💕

Only a true cricket fan know how much it hurts 💔
All was sad yesterday ..what about today ? The day is the same and no one other than me feels the pain❤🔥
How do you manage your health after eating.
Without Sitabhog & Mihidana Doshomi is incomplete..
Kabhi mahenga khana bhe dikhao dada.
First like first comment 🎉
anubhav sir Dipabali ki suv kamnai
Anubhav sir
Mihidana is not Dashami special, and it's not the specialty of Kolkata
There is so much variety of sweets all over the West Bengal,
Mihidana and Sitavog are famous at Bardhaman, Khir Doi is special at Nodia, Khirer goja is famous at Midnapore, etc.
Sir esa he to aap ko Aburoad ki Rabri jarur try karna chahiye, magar railway station ki mat khana
Pollution rokana chahiye... Chaliye mishti khayijaye... That was quick😂

Feedback regarding your vlogs.
1) in general,Captions on the screen should be shown for a slightly longer duration than current duration. We just start reading and the caption disappears almost instantly.
2)In the above video, there is no sharpness of the video and it appears slightly blurred.
Thank You!
Bhaiya odisha aaona
Toh keise lage humare Kolkata during Durga Puja????
Faker Ji asking, PATLOON Kidhar hein, show mein toh nahi pehente nah.....?😅
The pronunciation of Pandal is ˈpændl' , so we Kolkatan's do it correctly :)
Bangladesh me fuchka with egg milta hai

If u want yo understand Rasgulla, pls understand "Ganga Joley Ganga Puja" , the art of "Culture" not culture as in culture of society, ""Culture" as a science of fermentation,
AAP itna mitha khate ho, Tabiyat ka check up bhi plz karaya karo
