IRCTC has improved very much ,,, I was not willing to purchase food from Netaji Express .But I had no other options, & i got a non veg meal ……… & I’m impressed…….& changed my mindset since march 2023….i was speechless, ether i was lucky or its always that good …..

I dont like travelling in train. But whenever i have travelled, i have had rail food. They are reasonably priced and good in taste. We never had issues with rail food especially here in south. Train travel has its own charm.

IRCTC has worked hard and improved the hygiene and quality of food alot compared to what it is used to be. As a regular traveller and as a patreon for Indian Railways I can assure you that the food is good. The quantity may be less for one person but quality is taken care.
Absolutely rubbish.. i travelled from trivandrum to delhi by first ac and the quality of the food was a disaster.. and the catering was least bothered with drunk ac attendants !! And i was doing a train journey after 15 years !!
Everything looks so good and so professional, but sadly I never got any of these good food on the train. God knows Which part of India these kind of foods are served on the train.

IRCTC has ltd menu paneer, chicken curry rice roti dal. Beyond that if they get too excited then mixed veg and chilli chicken. … 4-6?items in menu. .. that is all.

Why do you have to imagine that, it can happen while you are eating your food a spider falls or a lizard in your soup at your home, what are you going to do about it. So rather than imagining, think and suggest positively what we can to provide a solution. For instance, hygiene in the kitchen which lot of the catering company follows but still needs to be enforced as a mandatory rule and punishable offence for those who are new starters in the business.

No were in world people use gloves while cutting raw ingredients in commercial kitchen. Cutting chicken with gloves on is, specially very difficult as raw chicken are very slippery.
Same menu in kathgodam satabadi, in night u get rice, dal, capsicum panner, roti (too thin). No change of menu from many years. In breakfast they gave amul butter then nova then other brand. Fare increased but food is same 🤣
First IRCTC needs to work on their kitchen hygiene as their topmost priority across classes. After they have got rid of the cockroaches, lizards and rats not to forget other sundry pests and vermin then we can talk about IRCTC being unique and on par with the best railway kitchens in the world. Low cost cheap food should not compromise food hygiene and packing. Millions of Indians travel second and general classes, should they be denied fresh hygienic food only because they are paying less. This feature is undermining the middle class Indians that also want hot fresh meals but are denied the same. Anyways thanks to NG for highlighting this feature which is always debatable.

Indians need to wake up and stop this theft!!! Singapore also pays their government employees a good pay so there is no corruption and that they do the work and not sleep on the job. India needs to follow the example of Singapore!! The current government and PM are leading India in the wrong direction!!! They are just enriching the super rich in India!!! Open.your eyes to the poverty in India!!! They could live like the people of Singapore!!! But in India the super rich are robbing all the wealth for themselves and the PM constantly talks to the Bharkts that is the way to do it. Brainwashing them!!! The one man responsible for turning Singapore around wanted no monuments built after him. He wanted no buildings or statues of him or anyone else! Most Indians have not gone to Singapore to see what they too can have!! But we have leaders in India that want to be treated like Gods! Statues all over the place of them, clothes of theirs in temples!! SICK!!! It is not rocket science! Just look if Singapore can do it, why not India???? When the man that changed Singapore died, he asked for a simple as possible ceremony and no kind of pictures of him like you would see in India!! Please study how Singapore was able to create a government that takes good care of their citizens!! It is a beautiful country in spite of the huge population with no natural resources. The Singapore Airport itself is the best in the world!!! That is a fact! India has so many resources. But the super rich like the Adanis and Ambanis are robbing the country blind. If India was able to keep those profits they could use the money to build better hospitals, schools, transportation. Singapore has the best public transportation with subways that go all over the place. They were able to built the best airport because they had all the profits from their companies to use for these projects! India gives these projects to the Adanis and Ambanis and then does not have the money, majority of the people live in poverty!! Singapore used to have slums too, but today they have none! Every citizen has a place to live and get the best health care.
Please get the word out!!! Stop the nonsense having in India and robbing the country!
