  • In the past I had tried using a root grapple to move firewood and it did not work that well. I decided to get a rock bucket to use to move firewood. I show why I chose the bucket over the competition.

    Good video, we use the same Titan bucket, the 72” model, on our MX5100 and Bobcat T650👍🏼🇱🇷

    No problem the bucket being so heavy, firewood isn't that heavy anyway. Then for sifting rocks, you need a hefty framed implement! That is a very specialized implement for sure! Don't try it for snow... Lol! Thanks!

      Who knows what other uses I may find for the bucket. Thanks for watching!

      Thanks, I try really hard to make good videos, I am my toughest critic. I think I am going to get another lens for my camera to make better videos. Yes, the bucket has an agressive look. I really like it.

    For ground flotation its almost the same concept as a mower deck, 60" is usually ideal for anti-scalping. How much firewood do think it holds per scoop? It looks like maybe 1/6 a cord?

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is good info about a mower deck. I'm not sure what to say on how much it holds. It varys greatly. If you have a big pile you can get a big scoop. If your pile is not that big, the scoop won't be as big. It may be around an 1/8 of a cord, but that is a guess.

    Hi, can you tell me approximately how much wood per load this bucket is handling?

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It varys greatly from scoop to scoop. If you have a decent sized pile to work from, you may get 1/8 cord(or more) in it. It is 60" wide by 41" long. A loose cord(not stacked is 180cuft).

    how much does the empty bucket weigh?

  • @michaell4564
    @michaell4564 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    you can get this bucket in 3 or 4 inch spacing, which would you recommend for firewood?

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends on your firewood, and what you are putting the bucket on. The closer spacing would better if you split smaller but it will be slightly heavier. I think the closer spacing would be best unless you split big or are concerned about the weight of the bucket.

    Bucket looks to long.........Major loss of curling power....Maybe no good for much larger piles of wood....Loading taller trucks to the top may also suck......

    • @TractorTech
      @TractorTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't like my piles to be much over 7 or 8 feet. They get dangerous when wood slides down off of them. I only load a dump trailer with it. The length increases the capacity.

      I have an MX 6000 and I just bought one of these buckets and I'm just worried because it's so long and heavy it will be hard on the loader. have you noticed any bad wear after using it over the years?

      @@gentzmcclellan4451skidsteer buckets are long for a couple of reasons. One is visibility of cutting edge/teeth, another is capacity since its so narrow in width. You can get stuff on the end and when you curl it tosses it in the bucket. They work great
