He's a horribly tragic, rhetorically brilliant, amusingly aloof character who has understandable reasons for what he's doing but nevertheless orchestrates the ruin of everyone he knows, himself included. He is the God of self-sabotage and the God of unprocessed trauma, the God of Lies and the God of Being Lied To. Is he evil? Sure. Is he misunderstood? I'd say so. Does he have the capacity for change? I suppose. How couldn't you find this broken, powerful, horrendous trickster god, with all his androgynous glamour, utterly charming? I love him so much, I could eat my teeth. But I'd never feel ashamed because of it.
