You make a very good point here, Ali, that if a Black Friday (or any sale) deal comes your way for something you actually use or need, then by all means stock up on it, otherwise save your money. I try to avoid adverts if I can, as I’m too easily tempted!
You are so right! Shop clever- even in the sales! I had to laught that the ad following this video was a 'Black Friday Sale' ad for something I have absolutely no need for......
I've a few things sitting in online shopping baskets ready for the black Friday sales to kick in on their websites. They are things I will be buying anyway as I have a few birthdays coming up, but they're sitting there in the baskets waiting to apply any discount on them if they're part of the event, if not, I will be buying them anyway!
Thanks, Ali. I have sometimes bought when there was a Black Friday deal (a few years ago, I got a new watch (I like watches!) that was reduced from about £280, which I got for about £75 - actually it was £55 because I had some vouchers - which I thought was a terrific deal). This year, I have some more Amazon vouchers, so I will be keeping an eye on their BF deals to see if any of the things I would like are on offer. But your video is a reminder that I should watch out for other offers as well, in case there's something I normally buy that's cheaper.
Alan asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and as I have been using my oven far too much this past couple of weeks, I asked for a new Remoska. Happily, they are £45 off in the Lakeland Black Friday offers. Ordered on Saturday delivered this morning (Monday). Result. 🙂
You are welcome for sending Black Friday over there. LOL. Retail starts to be in the black instead of operating at a loss around Thanksgiving. To celebrate and move merchandise and in honor of a few gift giving holidays all the stores have sales. It’s where they make the year’s profit.
So long as you remember to pay it back into your savings that works well! Im so glad that the first thing you thought of was for Luna. Us dog people heh?? 😊
I've had one of your longer videos on loop for two and a half hours while I was doing something else, hopefully the ad revenue is mounting up , your subscribers are increasing well I've noticed too so well done.
Please keep this channel going - I love it - far more than another channel run by another retired teacher.

You scored some deals! You are right you have to watch those cheap Temptations out there especially this time of year
Goodness, 2 videos in one day! I hadn't even thought about Black Friday - nothing needed

Well said, don’t get sucked into “bargains”!!
We have Black Friday sales in New Zealand as well
Great advice - love a bargain!
Good advice, as ever.
Its massive marketing here in Australia too.

A couple of years ago, I ordered sealed, five gallon buckets of organic oats and organic rice off of Amazon. Huge deal. You have to know your prices.
Congrats on the score, Ali!
