  • Snake Plant aka Mother in Law's Tongue is one of the best houseplants. They are super low key by nature, will grow successfully just about anywhere and are a cinch to propagate. My favorite way to propagate them is by division. It's fun, fast, and you get plants that look fully grown right away. In this video I outline exactly how to divide them so you can share your snake plant wealth. Enjoy

    Good Morning Devin. . .
What a way to start my Sunday morning. . . coffee, you and snake plants.
The snake plant is on my list of purchases when this self-quarantine is over. When I was a kid (quite some time ago!), I thought
they only grew in hospital waiting rooms and doctor's offices. Wow--was I wrong. Thanks for sharing your knowledge of snake
plants with us. They are very forgiving and I admire that. Regards,
    Darryl

I use a planter that's deeper than needed, and place heavy rocks at the very bottom. Keep in mind that rocks increase your maximized hydration point in your planters soil, or in other words, water will saturate your soil higher than if it were filled without the stones, and if that water level and root level meet, it increases chance of rot.
